Today, we are in the midst of a global transformation of consciousness; the Information Age is speeding to the point where our perception will soon make a "leap" into the Intuition Age. The way we see the world is rapidly shifting from a linear construct to a spherical-holographic one. This means the resulting new reality will function according to different rules and we will know ourselves as a new kind of human being. It's hard to imagine from our point of view in "old perception" but this book gives a clear picture of what a transformed reality looks like from the "new perception." We see the beginning of this now, as millions of people focus on personal and spiritual growth--and understand the power of the nonphysical world to influence physical reality. We are increasingly embracing the idea that life can be improved--without the use of new technological gadgets--by developing skill with energy techniques, various attention skills, and more sophisticated, modern perception. Leap of Perception is really a course in understanding how our perception is changing in this accelerating world, and how truly living in the present moment will affect our life and society. A pioneer in the field of intuition development, Penney Peirce provides a timely and comprehensive guide on how to expand our innate consciousness to: (1) successfully navigate today's accelerating transformation process, (2) recognize the new Intuition Age reality, and (3) live successfully by its new rules. Building on her first two books in this Transformation Trilogy, The Intuitive Way and Frequency , Peirce offers a truly innovative and essential program, helping develop many contemporary "attention skills" to shift our fundamental worldview and function in a reality where results occur instantaneously and logic, willpower, and cause-and-effect processes no longer function effectively. With down-to-earth examples and simple exercises, readers can move beyond frustration and coping, to thrive in a world of rapidly expanding possibilities. Readers will learn to: * Materialize visions and dreams * Resolve relationship conflict * Expand creative skills * Reduce exhaustion and anxiety * Ease fear caused by rapid change * Develop "new human" abilities, including telepathy and instantaneous healing * Recognize possibilities in a reality that hasn't yet been able to be imagined Once again, author Penney Peirce translates a powerful and complex body of knowledge intoan effective life practice that is accessible to everyone. Review: A book to help reframe your mind - I stumbled upon this book by accident. Prior to reading it I was not familiar with Penney Pierce's work. I was completely transformed mentally and psychologically after reading "Leap of Perception". I had no understanding of the unified field and what the differences is between consciousness and awareness. My perception was absolutely changed for the better and has been expanded. This book will give you the confidence and courage you've been looking for to become the creative you intuitively know you are. Review: Make the Leap - It might have been a giant leap for mankind in 1969 when Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon, but the leap Penney Peirce is talking about in her new book, Leap of Perception, is a giant leap from who we've been to who we're becoming. It is a leap involving the spirit, a leap tied to our personal transformation and the transformation of Earth, a leap that hinges on our ability to shift our attention and our perception. It is a leap from the Information Age to the Intuition Age. If this sounds like a major shift, it is. It is likely you are already aware, on some level, that there has been a vibrational shift on the planet over the past few years. Does it seem like everything is speeding up? It is. Do you want to be more attuned to it without having to put jets on your shoes or take multi-tasking to a dysfunctional level? Stick with Penney. She'll show you the way. For more than fifteen years, Penney has been giving us books that provide a lucid representation of our personal intuitive landscape, how we can develop it, how we can tap into and more effectively use our personal vibration to further our own transformation, and how to do it all in a way that actually makes sense to the left brain, right brain, and corpus callosum. In other words, she provides a blueprint that is infinitely customizable, doesn't require you to change your name to something mystical sounding, and makes so much sense that you realize you already know this stuff but never quite had all the pieces put together so soundly as you do now, thanks to her helping you put it into sharper focus. Penney's new book can be thought of as the third book in a trilogy that began with The Intuitive Way, continued with Frequency, and comes to breathtaking conclusion with Leap of Perception. If you've been following along, you will be able to look over your shoulder and see how far you've come. If you haven't been following along, don't worry. She will help you catch up in the beginning of the book so that you, too, will be looking over your shoulder and noting how far you've come by the end. Not ready to make that leap? That's okay, too. The tools she gives you are tools you'll find useful however you make your way into immersion with the spherical-holographic reality in which we find ourselves. Whew! We've actually been here all along, but it's good to have such a sane explanation of what it's all about. As an author and editor, I've recommended Penney's books because they are some of the best written books out there on the subject. But I also do shamanic work, and from that standpoint, I can recommend this book (and her others) because Penney is in alignment with my own direct knowing of the way things work. I'm making it required reading for my apprentices. Try something for just a moment. Get comfortable and go inside to that place within you that also knows things, even if you don't know how you know them. Ask if this book will help you make your own leap of perception. My guess is that you'll get a resounding, "Yes!"

How to plug into the life you want to live
Penney Peirce has written a great book on just what exactly you can achieve just by directing your attention to your whatever goal you might have in mind. Showing the reader just exactly what attention can accomplish, what it is, how to direct yours, and why it works, Peirce's book is a manual on how to accomplish your dreams, and much, much more. In the introduction she gives us a great quote: " "Worrying is praying for what you don't want." I was experiencing first hand, in a precise way, how the mind and the moment can stop or start the natural flow of ideas, creativity, and energy." Loc. 97-5126 What I took away from the book is that we really are at the center of our own little universe, creating the world we inhabit. It's our thoughts that set up the energy we attract because it's what we're thinking that creates our reality. Sounds too easy. Sounds like all we have to do is think of something and it will magically appear in our lives, at least that's what the book The Secret tells us, but seriously, Peirce shows us that we're missing a key ingredient. We need to fully inhabit our own lives, we need to stay fully in who we are in order to be in the zone, or the flow as Peirce puts it. Here's how she puts it in her own words: "as I became saturated by the experience of keeping my vibration at the level of my home frequency, or the soul-in-the-body state, my life effortlessly changed for the better . . ." loc. 137-5126 I'm sure everyone has experienced the `flow' or the `zone' as I like to think of it, where whatever you're doing just plain works with seemingly no effort. The trouble is, we don't understand how to get there at will, or what exactly brings on the `zone'. Peirce not only explains exactly what the flow is, in an easy to understand way so that we can also recreate a way to really plug into our lives and make things happen. Well, actually, Peirce teaches that you have to let go of will(left brain) and stay in your right brain which is what facilitates the flow. It's bringing your soul into your body and letting it lead you rather than the ego(left brain). It's our right brain that connects us with each other, our Creator, and basically plugs us into the great Internet or collective unconscious that Carl Jung talked about. Peirce shows us how to stay in the right brain, and with each new concept she gives us exercises that can help facilitate the flow. This book is really an owners handbook on how to connect to what will give you the best life possible. "Attention is a live connection to the world". Loc. 167-5126 When we give our attention to something, it's like plugging into the Internet, which is like plugging into our Creator. We are children of a Creator so when we are creating, we're following in that Creator's footsteps, doing what we were born to do. In a world where everything is seemingly conspiring to take us out of our own vibration, dividing our attention away from what we want to focus it on, Peirce's book can show us how to keep our power to ourselves using it to get what we want, not what others might want. "God is in the details" which means that paying attention deeply, can show us how the world works and how we can create the world we want to live in. "In times of change, learners inherit the earth, while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.--Eric Hoffer". Loc. 183-5126

Wonderful Book
Penney Peirce has a way of explaining concepts in a clear, concise way, without a lot of New Age-y posturings. What you get is simple and direct. I find myself reading a few pages, then going back to reread, highlight, and meditate on the concepts. This can't be a fast read, you have to really let it sink in. In this book Ms. Peirce describes what life is like when you think in a linear way, how isolating and scary it feels. She takes us through how it feels to perceive the world in (w)holistic terms, both as a field surrounding each of us, and as a hologram where we are each a part of the whole. It really makes you see how connected we are to each other. Her metaphor of the the donut and the donut hole alone is worth the price of the book. I have gotten many insights, including a hopeful feeling that if I create the world around me (we've all heard that, that we create our own reality on some level), I can decide what I want to include in that world and take a step towards it....the results have always been positive. And I've only gotten half-way through the book. If you understand what I mean, get this book. If you don't understand what I mean, and want to, get this book. Penney explains it perfectly, so that even a left-brained person like myself can "get" it.

Nice
Nice. Taking some effort to get into these books. A lot of information but feels a little overloaded for me at moment. Have to come back to it when I have more capacity to engage.

Quotes are Extremely Distracting!
I think the single most annoying trend in publishing is the bizarre need authors now have to insert quotes from other writings page by page in their own text. I don't mean to single out this author, or this book, but this trend seems to be more and more on the rise. While I appreciate the wisdom of other writers and philosophers throughout the ages, is it necessary to be interrupted every half paragraph to read some snippet of wisdom that is supposed to inform or somehow embellish the text? The only thing it does is DISTRACT! Really- is the writing that bad or the concepts so deficient that one needs to supplement the work with that of other people? It is annoying enough that authors feel compelled to insert a seemingly mandatory quote at the beginning of each chapter. Why, oh why must it be done on every other page? Where is a petition that I can sign? PLEASE STOP!!! Content-wise, despite Martha Beck's encouraging intro, I simply did not find anything new or enlightening in this book. Perhaps it was just not for me.

A Penney for Your Thoughts
Our book club chose this book after a very successful discussion of her book, "Frequency" which is a forerunner to this book, though you can read this one without visiting its predecessor. Overall we were and are enthralled with the book. It is a life changing experience. We got a little 'bogged down' with discussion because of the dynamic impact of her words. Then Penney graciously visited us and we had an amazing afternoon with her where she answered those 'tough' questions the book sometimes raises. I heartily recommend this book to everyone, especially at a time when outward appearances in our society point to the demise of left-brain thinking as the dominant driver of society today, and when we can intuit our future by finding a perfect balance between the two. This book is a forerunner to restoring sanity on this planet. Penney is a vibrant conduit of age-old truths seen in a fresh perspective - the Tao wisdom is embodied in her works.

Access Your Right Brain!
This book is fascinating. It describes how we are moving into the intuition age and how tapping into our right brain can facilitate this. There are so many things discussed here. I will take the time to ponder.
