Best spincast on the market hands down!
This is likely the best spincast reel on the market. It casts and reels smooth. I bought the 20 size for a lighter more palmable reel. It comes pre-spooled with 6lb mono which is very light, itโs okay if youโre targeting trout or crappie. I switched to 10lb to target bass and it still casts great with the heavier line. Highly recommend this reel 9bbs 30ipt.

Not your childhood Zebco!
Zebco finally made a serious spincast reel. Heavy duty, retrieves like lightning, zero tangles, and I've used 20# braid, down to 4# mono and everything in between on the spool. Casting is a smooth, easy, second nature throw. Use it like a bait caster, it will perform exactly the same. Instead of a steel stud doing the winding (like your old Zebco 33), it uses a roller bearing, which makes the retrieve feel like glass. My arthritic hands almost gave up fishing, until I watched a couple You Tube videos starring this reel. Now, I've only need to cast and reel. No pulling over the bail, no thumb pressure. Just push the button, swing, and release the button. Yes, just like when you were a kid---only everything is grown up! It hurts more to tie on a new lure, than it does to fish! Last year, my brother and I kayaked down the Russian River in California, while hitting all the brush and snags along the way. Four really nice salmon (C&R), and my limit of trout, on a tiny yellow Rooster Tail. The reel easily handled it all.

Wow, what a great reel!
First, this thing is a tank. Pretty heavy reel but not an issue once on the rod. Combined this with a Berkeley Cherrywood 6โ6โ rod and used a whopper plopped. My goodness gracious can this setup cast!!! Unbelievably far. Makes me feel like Superman just tossing that lure a country mile. Reel is very smooth. Left the default fishing line on it for now. May put braided line on it later. But it works for now so why fuss? I wouldnโt hesitate to buy another. Itโs pricey but I think well worth it. I am extremely pleased.

Good reel
Casts farther than your average reel, smooth operation, however, caught a striper, after a battle, the line broke, eight pound mono that it came with. I have respooled with 16 pound braid, time will tell.

Still a Great Reel
I grew up using Zebco reels. The quality of the reel is still great. I don't really care for the rubber covered line release on today's Zebco reels but that is a small factor in my rating. The reel still works great, and the line will not backlash.

Absolute trash
I grew up with a Zebco closed-face spinning reel, and had many fishing adventures with it. That old reel literally lasted >25 years and finally died recently. I decided to go with Zebco again, I prefer closed-face reels and I wanted the best one that money could buy. This one is ~$100 dollars, but it is absolute trash. It felt nice in the hand but it broke literally less than 1 month after use. When I press the casting button, it no longer works, one of the gears must have come loose or something. What a waste of my money. I bought a new $30 reel from a different company and so far it's been working fine. Never again will I go with Zebco.

You should have one
Absolutely awesome unit! I plan on getting 1 or 2 more. Simple, smooth and hold up to the fight. I know people think of Zebco being just a cheap entry level unit, but this one out classes more pricey units

A spincast for an old bass angler? Yes!
At the age of 70, I am fairly set in my ways. I've been bass fishing since the age of 13, and in all my years, I have mastered the use of the bait casting reels. And honestly, I've become somewhat of a snob when it comes to baitcast reels. However, with age comes steadily-worsening eyesight. While I seldom backlash any longer, when I do it has become increasingly difficult to clear them. I don't spend my time fishing just to clear a bird's nest backlash. While shopping for my second fishing rig, I stumbled across the Zebco bullet. Yeah, a spincast reel. Most bass fishermen would rather get skunked than be seen using a Zebco OR a spincast reel for that matter. But after reading about them when I got home, I found it on Amazon and purchased it. Zebco is known for their simple, cheap and cheaply-made reels. Zebco decided they were going to build a spincast reel for upper-tier guys. This thing cost 100 bucks and is twice as heavy as most any other baitcasting reels. The all metal design (but not the thumb trigger, it's plastic) construction makes this reel built like a bulldozer. However, it is a dream to cast and it takes up a whopping 30 inches of line per turn of the handlre. While the gear ratio is 5.1 to 1, the amount of inches per turn is equal to my Lews baitcaster at 6.4 to 1. I fell in love with this reel and honestly, I don't care what others might say. While they are picking out backlashes, I keep on fishing. My personal best was 5lbs 3oz bucketmouth and this reel stood up to that fight perfectly. Is it worth a hundred bucks. Yep... Every penny.

Solid
All metal gears. Bought one for the missus, she deserves the best spincaster on the market. Wasn't impressed with Daiwa's offering. The Bullet feels solid and is smooth, but weighs almost twice as much as her Zebco 33. The drag works, but can be tricky to dial in. The only plastic is the thumb trigger. Pairs well with a 6'6" or 7' medium-heavy baitcasting rod.

Bullet 30SZ SC Reel
This reel was defective. For the price, I expected a high quality reel. Casting was difficult and the handle was noisy upon reeling in. I had it returned for a refund.
