Would probably serve any family well in the home or auto as an emergency flashlight.
Amazon Review - tactical flashlight This flashlight comes with a padded case (which looks to be waterproof, although I did not test that feature), a rechargable battery, set of AAA batteries and sleeve that allows you switch out to regular batteries in the event you don't have time to charge it, a USB-C charging cable, a belt holster, and a keychain flashlight. The tactical flashlight has a few different modes: - You can change the brightness by focusing the lens, which you do by opening and closing it like a telescope. - You can change the brightness to 3 different levels by pressing the on/off button multiple times. The flashlight starts in the brightest mode, then decreases in intensity. - Once at the lowest level of brightness, the flashlight has 2 flashing modes. One quick flash mode produces a strobe effect, and the slow mode flashes the Morse code for SOS. The brightest mode incredibly bright. While I don't know a good (read: inexpensive engineering solution), in a tactical environment, I would not like to have to cycle between multiple modes to get to the one I needed. The LED indicator above the on/off button works well to indicate the current level of charge in the battery. I tested the burn time of the rechargable battery by starting it about 0730 AM and it was still going around lunchtime a few hours later. It appears to require slightly less long to charge as it does to burn down. I tried both the cable that came with it, and a multi-mode cable that I had received at a conference. The cable that came with it worked well; the older cable did not work at all. I tested the belt holster for fit, rather than wearability or durability. The flashlight fits nicely in the holster, although the wrist strap requires a bit of finagling in order to make sure that it doesn't dangle and catch on things. I'd still be worried that it might catch on something in tight spaces like an engine room. The flashlight is hefty, and it would probably work as a weapon in extremis but it wouldn't be a go-to one like the flashlights that double as batons. The telescoping nature of the housing would reduce any impact from thrusting and it's small enough that you'd likely hurt your hand while using it. It's also heavy enough that I wouldn't necessarily want to use it in an aquatic environment. It's heave enough that attaching a float to prevent loss in the event of a drop would probably be too bulky for day-to-day use. I actually started by giving this to my 11 yr old son for a wear test. He loves flashlights and can be a bit hard on them. He likes this one, and after several hours of turning the light on and off, testing the button, the focus function, and the run time, it still works. Overall, it's a really good flashlight, and would probably serve any family well in the home or auto as an emergency flashlight.

They lie about the lumens, but it's still a great little flashlight for the price
Displayed are 3 flashlights I own. The first one is a huge Duracell (about 3 years old) that is focusable like the much more compact Goreit. The middle Black & Decker spotlight is NOT focusable like the other two and is 5 or more years old. The last one on the far right is my new Goreit flashlight. And, as mentioned, is focusable. I just now tested all three on a palm tree about 75 yards away. The smaller Goreit was brighter than the huge Duracell in spotlight mode. However, the Black & Decker spotlight was at least 25% brighter than the new smaller Goreit. In fact, the Black & Decker blinked off immediately after the test … indicating that it needed to be charged. The B&D light is at least 5 years old and is advertised as being a 2200 lumen light. The Duracell is advertised as being a 1200 lumen light. So the Goreit light falls in between both of them when it comes to overall brightness. Meaning their claim of 20,000 lumens is a load of BS. Which is why I only gave it a 4 star rating in one category. But it is NOT a dim light and is even a little brighter than my monster sized Duracell. I have not yet tested its durability or battery longevity, but it appears to be solidly built of high quality aluminum. So I expect it to be durable as needed. And it's nice that it has a 4 light battery indicator so you can keep tabs on the charge. It also comes with a AAA battery sleeve that will allow you to use 3 AAA batteries to power the light if the main rechargeable battery is dead and you need to use it. It appears to be dimmer with the 3 AAA batteries tho. The 3 AAA batteries are included, however one of them in my set was dead. So I had to install 3 of my own batteries to test the light. The 2nd photo on their Amazon page shows an extremely wide beam as the flashlight is lighting up the whole forest. 1) The beam is NOT that wide, and 2) It's not THAT bright either. However, overall, I’m very pleased with this flashlight with regard to size, power, and price ... even IF they are overhyping it with their images and claimed lumen power. It’s not nearly as bright as they claim, but it’s certainly not dim and appears to be a fairly decent light for the price. I’m also happy with the smaller size. My big Duracell is a monster ... this new compact flashlight will be much nicer to carry. Update: The battery seems to hold up well for several nights use at a time. I use mine for work 5 nights a week. The power display only works when charging tho. I had hoped the 4 lights would go down to 3 and 2 then 1 as I used the light. But it will just dim and then die. You only see how low the battery is DURING the charging mode when it is plugged in. But over all. I’m still pleased with this little powerhouse. It’s NOT 20,000 lumens strong, but it’s bright enough.

Compact bright durable rechargeable. I love it.
Love is flashlight it did have some issues come up about a year after I bought it. But it’s been a great flashlight. Very, very bright, love, the fact that it’s aluminum case and housing, and you can also change the beam from flood to spot. Of course it’s got other modes to such as flashing and strobe, etc. But, it’s hard to do better in my opinion on finding a compact very bright flashlight that’s

Great product..just not like the original.
It's a great light. We bought as a replacement for what we thought was the exact same light. The battery quit on the original one. This one does not have the % battery life read out that the prior one did. It's a little lighter in the metal as well. Other than that, it has a long battery life, is very powerful, and is small enough to fit in a jacket pocket. Great light for the $$.

Good Flashlight - Great Seller Support
UPDATED 30 March 2023 -- After posting the review below, the seller of this flashlight reached out to me so they could send a replacement flashlight. Since I did like the last flashlight, until it stopped charging, I took them up on the offer. A few days later, a brand new flashlight arrived and is just as good as the last one was. I've used it now for about a week, and tried all I could do to treat it like I would any other flashlight I use daily - it's been tossed in a bag of tools, the back of my truck, rolled around under the seats a bit, been used in light rain, and has come out none the worse for wear. The biggest test for me, however, was to check to make sure it would still charge after all of that since my last one did not. Great news -- it charged right up! If I could, I would probably rate this now with 4.5 stars given my experience with my first flashlight, but based on the new one only, I will go with a 5 as it has done all I could ask of a flashlight (at least one with about a week of use on it). If I have further issues, or any additional comments, I'll update this review. (ORIGINAL REVIEW) I loved this flashlight for the first 2-3 weeks. It’s got heft, it’s bright (not 20,000 lumens… but bright), and is a good size to carry — not too big, not too small. The trouble is that when the battery died… I couldn’t charge the battery through the flashlight. I was able to fully charge the battery when I first received it, but that was the only time I was able to charge it. I tried different cables, wall warts, and outlets… no dice. It’s hard to recommend a flashlight that you can only use for a few weeks before it becomes a paperweight… especially given how little paper we need to hold down these days.

BRIGHT light, versatile, long lasting charge.
This is a second purchase for us! Husband loves this flashlight, and needs one at several spots around the house. Fantastic amount of light in a small package. Love the versatility. Battery life is amazing! He only has to charge it every few weeks. Will buy again!

Do NOT Buy This Product!
Please read the one-star reviews before you consider buying this product, because they make clear the problems you will experience with it after you've shelled out more than $30. I kept it in my glove box for emergencies, but it failed when I needed it recently. I initially blamed myself for not keep it charged up, but when I got home and put it on a charger, the battery wouldn't take a charge. Many other negative reviews here have cited this problem while also noting the light does not live up to its high-lumens claim, also true. All of this is less consequential than some other facts I will share with you. The flashlight has just one moving part, the switch, and the casing is built like a Sherman tank. Amazingly, however, Goreit warranties it for just 30 days! Coincidentally, that is exactly how long Amazon stands behind all products sold on its site. What that means is that the company can sell you an overpriced flashlight that doesn't work as claimed and which fails quickly, and then just walk away from whatever problems you might detect after 30 days. And when I say walk away, I mean that literally. Even Amazon could find no way to get in touch with "Gpreit"; o contact information, no help link, no phone number. Nothing. It turns out that 'Goreit', whoever they are, did not even manufacture the light. It was made by a Chinese company that produces exactly the same model for dozns of 20 vendors who list it on Amazon. They all charge different prices, but the light itself is the same unreliable, guaranteed-to-fail model, with a cheap rechargeable battery that, as numerous customer reviews attest, can stop holding a charge after just one use (as mine did); a clunky switch that requires a lot of thumb pressure to activate if it works at all; and a metal casing that is made to give the flashlight a 'tactical' look but which merely adds a pound of unnecessary weight. Here's the kicker: this flashlight is "Amazon's Choice" in its category. I have pressed this matter with their support department to find out why, and will add to this review whatever I find out. In the meantime, don't buy this light or any light that looks just like it. It will quickly become a doorstep/paperweight, as it did for me.

just as bright as more expensive ones
comes with rechargeable ion lithium battery and an adapter to use regular batteries which is great if you don't have time or place to charge flashlight, just pop reg batteries and continue to use. It comes with a nice plastic case to store in and a handy canvas one to hang on your clothes. I first bought a more expensive flashlight that didn't come with extra battery adapter or a case. And this flashlight is just as bright as the more expensive one, if not brighter.

Best quality for your money by far!
Liked everything! So much fun felt like a kid again. I think I woke up the entire neighborhood last night.. Seriously NASA would be proud. Surprised satellites didn't report me as a UFO! The people that complain that it's not as high lumens as advertised are hilarious. Any brighter and the army will be in your back yard people!!

Es una lámpara china sin marca, no dice que sea goreit. No trae llavero de regalo, no trae funda de la linterna, no trae las tres baterias que dice la publicación, la linterna se ve resistente, no así la correa. La probaré y actualizaré mi opinión.
