The Art of Letting GO: How to Let Go of the Past, Look Forward to the Future, and Finally Enjoy the Emotional Freedom You Deserve! (The Art Of Living Well) Review: Prepare yourself to getting to know the real you. - Awesome, read. I can't believe the things I was able to identify with while reading this masterpiece. This is a win, win if you're interested in gaining control of your life, and serious about doing it. Review: Illuminating and valuable - I found this book excellent and very helpful for letting go of regrets and addressing guilt. What separates this book from other self-help type books is it gives a specific exercise at the end of every chapter that addresses the topic of the chapter. It's basically CBT self-coaching that helps bring ruminating, destructive patterns of thought to light through writing them down, encouraging rational thinking, while addressing origins of thought that are frequently based on dysfunctional pasts. Very importantly, the author also addresses the neuroscience of rumination and negative catastrophic thinking. Highly recommended.

The book really makes sense.
After buying this book, the first thing that I feel is that this book has enough content as in the book description that I see. After reading this book, I decided to write a review: The Art of Letting Go can be said to be a mirror for us to reflect on the past but without causing nostalgia and suffering, a stepping stone to look towards the future and live more positively every day. the truth is that we are contradicting ourselves, we blame others because we cannot forgive ourselves, we are unhappy because we are clinging too long to the wounds of our past. In the past, we can't make progress because we're too concerned about what others think of us or even our past successes limit us from moving forward with more dramatic change and breakthroughs. I like this author's writing style, simple but not sketchy, easy to read, understand and practice. in the future I will continue to follow the ways taught in this book, I don't know how much my life will change but I see if I change my life in a new way With this author's book, I will let go of the painful past and move towards a brighter future. 4 stars is the number I use to rate the book as a sincere thank you to the author. and I just want to say: your book is very good and i like it

Excellent information. So easy to apply these chapters
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I’ve been able to do some powerful revisiting of my early life and issues with self doubt. As well as current events in my life. I’ve done the exercises. Great book. Looking forward to your next one. Letting go is very difficult. The self hate. Is toxic. But deep breath and moving on 😃😊😊

Ok
Nice easy reading but it seems statements are made as if it they are fact, whereas people have different experiences that are not as complicated, nor as simplified, as the author suggests. For example, the simplistic statements that exhaustion or difficult memories are due to “not letting go” of something is over simplification. Exhaustion from raising children solo and working a demanding but very satisfying job, while also engaging in fun sports for personal time, is not always exhaustion because you did not let go of something traumatic….. it is a life choice, not a trauma. A great night’s sleep is the cure. Also, some painful memories are resolved but you never forget. Even if all are forgiven, even oneself, some things will remain in memory. You are not needing to let go necessarily and often that wont happen anyway. You just learn to accept and not get sad etc i found it to be so so. Unfortunately i accidentally bought 2 copies and another book by the same author which was also uninformative and common sense. Ive alway read self help books and listen to good advice of wise (often older) friends & qualified professionals, plus have many years of life experience, and so perhaps these books are just so so for me, but useful for others.

Incredible daily life hacks, for everyone!
This is a book I practically filled with highlights, flagging endless triggers and exercises that resonated deeply. If you’ve ever struggled with letting go of anything, no matter how big or small, this is a keeper. It’s something I’ll continue to go back to because it reminds you that we are human and sometimes we just need to be kinder to ourselves. The simple things!

A solid book.
It offers solid wisdom without being preachy. If you’re someone who keeps replaying past mistakes or can’t let go of grudges, this book gently walks you toward freedom. Loved how actionable it was—especially the chapters on emotional detachment and forward focus.

I started this book after my last relationship failed and ended with me being ghosted, and me not being able to let go of the person and the hope. Thanks to this book I understood how it is vital to forgive myself for my anxiety, forgive him for his ghosting, and mostly understanding why it was so hard but inportant to let go. I suggest this book for everyone. There is much to learn. The chapters are short and light. The exercises opened my eyes, I already knew and did some of the things the exercises ask you to do, but other were very interesting, for example the practicing gratitude one and the "what would make me happy?". I realise how what I have in my life now can make me happy if I just pay attention to it.
