Assembling it seemed awkward the first time I did it, even though all the parts push into place and are secured with pins, but after a few times I learned to "jiggle" things into place - now assembling it takes less than a minute. Disassembled the components can fit into a duffle bag, It is very light, sometimes instead of disassembling it I just slide it to a corner. The bar can be set at very wide range of heights, though you may have to switch the tubes to position the holes where you want. (You'll see what I mean as soon as you assemble it.) Because it can be set to so many positions the bar can be used for isometric static holds at a range of arm angles - I like to do those after I've finished doing pull-ups or dips. Other reviewers have commented that the stand is wobbly. I agree that it does wobble unless you do your exercises with good form, not swinging and jerking. That said, I weight 210 pounds and don't feel unsafe using it at all. I even sometimes hold myself upside down like the guy in the picture, though sadly my physique is nothing like his. Review: Great portable even it wobble little. - If you like portable pull up bar stand that can take apart and setup without tool and light weight, this is a great buy. You can even take it with you in your car when travel. It DOES wobble. I did not buy the $90 stabilizer bar in their website since I can live with the wobble as long as it can be take apart and put away since I need to do that everyday. I use my living room for exercise and need to clear it everyday. Great buy if you can live with the wobble. If you want stable or you are overweight, then you should go with steel which I also had, but I took apart and put in storage since it is heavy, take too much space. Strongly recommend if portable, light weight is a must and you can live with some wobble.

Shaky garbage
Absolute garbage, a complete waste of money. If you are interested in doing pull ups this shaky mess won't work I suggest either a mountable (best) or door frame pull up bar. I think this company sells a bunch of products similar to this and the reason this is so unstable is because this isn't actually a pull up bar but rather a collection metal bars that they have left over from their other products that have been cobbled together into this "pull up bar". If I could have rated this with zero stars I would have.

It works, but is very unwieldy---and is almost impossible to transport.
I purchased this because they touted that it was a collapsible and portable standalone pullup bar. It definitely is a sturdy thing, and allows you to do pullups on it, but it takes quite an effort to collapse and reassemble, and the size and weight of the components make it difficult to transport. To say it's portable is only to say that you don't have to drill it into the wall, but bringing it around is similar to bringing a huge bag of long, thick and heavy plumbing pipes---which is essentially what item disassembled looks and feels like. In addition to that, there is no crossbar on the base to make the standing ends of the unit stable, so the base swings and moves around, falling apart whenever you want to move the thing around the room. You'll need another pair of hands to keep this thing in place to move it around, or risk it knocking you on the head as it wobbles or falls apart on you.

Good Bar, though slightly unstable
I have been using this now for over a month. Initial installation was simple, intuitive, and quick. Found is as mentioned in other reviews, simple functional design, great te get your upper body workout. However since the two 'legs' do not have a connector bar, it gives an unstable sensation. I tried swinging and playing with this and feel that as long as you are doing normal exercises the 'instability' is just a nagging feeling with minimal risk of tripping. Overall quality is good and looks like it will last for a long time, am happy. However recently came across the "Stamina 1690 Power Tower" that is less than half the prices and seems decent. Do check that out before making a decision.

good, but wobbles
Pros: It is lightweight, sturdy. It does not require mounting to anything in your home. It is easy to assemble and could be easily moved to different places. Of course, I don't know who need to take a pull up bar to the park. Cons: Some quality control issues with mine. One of the welding spots was still rough on the inside and made it difficult to assemble (it turned out that switching which pole was left and which was right did the trick). The main issue is that it is unstable. It is OK for regular pull-up. By OK, it still wobbles, but did not seem likely to fall down. You can either pay them for a stabilizer bar or make your own using simple parts from Home Depot for a lot less money. The way I made mine makes it harder to disassemble, but that is not something that I plan to do often.
