I am a little disappointed in this book. For lack of a better term, it was underwhelming at best.After reading Twisted love it's the obvious next step. I mean You'll wanna see what unfolds in the friends' lives . And Twisted love really delivered on that. It was a wonderful story with the angst and love you thought you were getting while you decided to read the book.Though I must say the writing is not too polished.I had a hard time wanting to skip through monologues of Alex and Rhys describing their own smoulders.But while TL was was a firecracker of a story, TG felt like a repeat telecast. Similar probes, similar tastes, similar brooding, .. the love and list felt too familiar. Wanting to burn down the world for someone as a character trait is good, but it feels overused.The story itself is really good, and full of things that keeps you hooked. But how it's described really put a dent in the whole thing.Anyway . I couldn't love it as much as I had hoped to.But it's a good standalone book. If u r reading it first, may be it'll appeal better to your senses . And mind you, it does tickle at them. ;)

I would like to keep it brief 'nd simple. This book majorly focuses on the main plot, that is the slow-burn romance between Bridget and Rhys. She's a princess and soon to be queen while our guy is her newly appointed bodyguard. Both of them dislike each other at the beginning then turn into mutual partners and finally find their way into each other's hearts with a sub plot regarding Bridget's and Rhys' personal lives. The romance and spice level in this book is very prominent and that itself makes up half of the book whole the other half had the narratives regarding the events happening. The characters are portrayed well with their respective personality traits and the dialogues and pacing is decent enough.If you're a true hardcore romance lover with detailed spicy scenes in it, then go ahead with the book, it will not disappoint you. But don't expect much story from this one.

Very good quality

I absolutely loved this book. I already enjoyed the first book in the series, but this one was even better for me. The chemistry between the main characters was amazing, and I loved watching their relationship grow little by little instead of everything happening too fast. Rhys became one of my favorite book boyfriends. He was loyal, patient, protective, and always willing to do whatever it took for the woman he loved. Bridget was also a great main character because she was strong, independent, and never gave up on what she believed in, even when things became difficult. The romance was emotional, the tension kept me turning the pages, and I loved how the story balanced sweet moments with drama and political responsibilities. There were several moments that made me smile, and I was completely invested in their journey from beginning to end. Overall, this was an amazing read, and I had a hard time putting it down. If you enjoy slow-burn romance, strong characters, and stories about love overcoming impossible situations, I definitely recommend this book. It was an easy five-star read for me, and I'm excited to continue the rest of the series.

Il est largement au dessus du premier, les personnages m’ont davantage plu et j’ai aimé leurs histoires. A plusieurs reprises j’ai été émue par les personnages et tout ce qu’il leur est arrivé.Bridget est douce, pleine de vie, solaire et touchante. Elle se plaît aux Etats Unis car elle peut fuir la folie médiatique qu’elle a dans son pays. Pourtant, comme dit dans le résumé, elle va devoir y retourner de manière permanente et dire adieu à sa liberté.Rhys, ma pépite ! Un homme capable, il a tant de respect, il est juste incroyable. Il est sûrement celui que j’ai le plus aimé découvrir ! Il est prêt à tout pour protéger Bridget et son côté possessif m’a totalement séduite.Entre eux, c’est whaou ! Une énorme tension, un slow burn de qualité et ce côté interdit qu’on adore. Les scènes spicy sont plus nombreuses que dans le précédent tome, mais je les ai trouvées à l’image de notre duo !J’ai aimé découvrir certains personnages, notamment le frère de Bridget et sa famille, elle a un fort attachement pour ses proches. Mais c’est aussi plaisant de retrouver la bande de copines et de voir comment elles avancent !J’ai qu’une hâte, lire le prochain, un enemies to lovers qui je sens, va beaucoup me plaire !En bref, un excellent deuxième tome qui m'a totalement emballée et émue !

I love me a forbidden trope. Princess/bodyguard?? Um hellooo?? Who would not love that?This book is one of my favorites so far. I am envious to all the people who gets to read twisted games for the first time.The character development is amazing. How the FMC evolves into this strong powerful women while the MMC overcomes his fears. The love story was chefs kiss, the spicy scenes was chefs kiss and the little plot twist with Rhys left my jaw hanging. Love love love
