I received the WT2101 in perfect shape and immediately set about putting it right to use. I figured out how to connect the DC adapter (no brainer, but germane to this report) and went through the setup and was up and running. One thing stood in my way for perfection, I couldn't get the damn battery cover off to install the backup batteries. After perusing the somewhat spartan instructions I was no further ahead than if I had not read them. So I tried to bully my way into the elusive battery chamber. Well that didn't work because while manipulating the stand up bit that holds the unit upright I broke the hinges. Now, all this time I have had use of this equipment because the aforementioned DC adapter was chugging along nicely, but it just wasn't right that I could not get into the battery box. It became a challenge to my capability to function. I wasn't going to let this box get me. I sent that unit back to Amazon and was contacted via email by a nice lady from customer support who dispatched a replacement unit even tho the first article I received was from a different shop. I went through the same ritual knowing this was going to be the winner. And would you guess what? No can do again on getting the damn battery box cover off. Now I am still in a dialog with the nice lady from customer support who by now thinks she is dealing with an inept idiot who can't operate a plastic box; i was beginning to feel the same way. My next course of action was to ask the previous buyers on Amazon if someone could tell me how to break the code for getting the box lid off. It was then a nice fellow name Simon stepped up and indicated he had had the same problem and had returned one for just the same reason! He further shared how he had cracked the case (see how I did that there, cracked the case, heh heh heh) and also supplied a video of him opening the battery box. All is well here now that the battery box is open. As I said before, the batteries are just backup but the equipment needs to be working as designed. Can't say enough good things about Customer Service and the way they patiently handled my problem. I would only suggest that there could be enhanced steps in the instructions identifying the issue. So 5 stars all the way around, it is a nice accurate unit, pleasant to look at with a nifty little challenge to go with it.

I bought this because I wanted a wall-powered device. I didn't want to be replacing the batteries and resetting it every two months. It is one of the few available that is not exclusively battery-powered, but it does have that feature if that is what you want. I placed it on my desk, which is in the bedroom, and it looks great and performs admirably. I got it because I suspected that the air temperature just outside my windows was higher than that reported on the Internet. So I placed the external sensor just outside my bedroom windows and sure enough the temperature is uniformly 3-5 degrees higher than the reported temp. I live about a half-mile from Central Park where the official weather station is located. But my bedroom is in the back of an apartment building where it and the surrounding buildings trap the heat. At any rate, this is a quality product. I periodically check the temp/humidity/pressure against the displayed values on this device and, with the adjustment noted above, this device's readings are remarkably accurate.

I figured out how to open the battery compartment. Get a sledgehammer, stand back and wack the blasted thing. Actually, I should have read the previous comments. This product is really very promising but for this one fatal flaw. If you lose power you have to reset everything, what a pain. I am working with customer service. So far they sent a video showing someone just using a simple thumb movement to open it. Must be a magical thumb. I've used force, and my experience has been things break when using this amount of force. I'll wait some more and see what customer service does. It's got two stars for now. I'll revisit later. (Note: One person said they could open the compartment by sliding out and not pushing down. I tried that, and it didn't work on mine. Thanks for the suggestion though.) After many days I tried again. I did get another email from customer support which tried to help. GOT IT OPEN! Had to use a lot of force. Thought I might break it, but it didn't break. Put the batteries in and tested it and it works. I'm going to raise the stars by two now. Started off with one start.

Great clock that tells me everything I need at a glance. Time is generally accurate, and I appreciate being able to tell the temperature at a glance. The outdoor reader is also handy to quickly tell me how it is outside. The clock has a forecast feature, but I don't really use it, since it's just make predictions based on temperature and humidly. Other than that, this clock is great.

I looked at several similar models. What I liked most about the Wittime 2101 was the intelligent organization of the data screen both logical and easy to read. The setup was easy and I measured time and readings against other devices for accuracy and found only minor differences. I like that the most important information is highlighted on top and is the brightness (time and outside temperature). Those are the most important to me. Very happy with the usefulness and design of the weather station and impressed with the quality for price. Good buy.

I was looking for a new desk clock and thought this was one step better- time plus temp. The left-hand side is date and time. Right-hand is inside and outside temperatures. Easily find these two features when glancing at the display (clock and temp). Works as night light and can read the numbers easily both day and night, near and from across the room. Works well to place on desk, not sure about wall mount as cord has big connector for the power supply on right hand side- difficult to hide cord.

It could be a good product if they would fix the battery access problem. Like so many others experienced, the product breaks when you try and install the batteries. I now have the tabs broken off the battery compartment and the stand broke off in the process. Awful design with no instructions in the manual. And the link in the Amazon site linking to the company support doesn't work. I'd highly recommend you look at another weather station. Can't say how their customer support is because apparently you can't access them via Amazon. 1 star because it works. Could be more if you didn't have to break it to install batteries. UPDATE: The company reached out to me and offered a full refund for the problems. I have declined the refund. The unit works. It's fairly accurate. And it fits into an odd space inside my 5th wheel trailer kitchen area. I wall mounted the unit with Velcro Command Strips so the broken stand is not needed. I also cut the wall-wart power supply off (120v to 5v DC), and purchased a 12v DC to 5v DC converter which now powers the weather station off the trailers 12v DC system. No need to run the generator or be plugged into shore power to see the weather information. It's bright, easy to read and fit my application. I moved this up to 3 stars (from 1 star). It took a couple of weeks for them to reach out, but they did and offered a no strings attached remedy. That speaks volumes about their customer support. Much appreciated.

This weather station works excellent so far. It took a minute to figure out how to set it up, but it was fairly easy to set up once you knew what buttons did what. The temperature is very accurate as long as the sensor is placed appropriately. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is I'm not sure how accurate the forecast part is, but that is not a biggie; I got it for current conditions.
