This handle is awesome. Of course I’d like something a little more modern and nicer looking, but options were slim for my case. This is the best and cheapest way to get a solution that I imagine works with ANY kind of gate setup. In my case, it’s a double privacy gate that opens outward and needs to be used daily but on only one side. You may be limited on which side you can mount it on depending on what you want to do, but you can’t beat it for the price. Easy installation too.

The latch to our shed fell apart. It was nearly like this latch.This latch was easy to install and is keeping our shed door secure again.I really like the black coating on this latch. It gives it a feeling of quality. Knowing it's also intended to make the latch last longer is a good thing.The grab-handle turns easily. You use a padlock to lock it up. All really easy.MADE IN CHINA.

Well, made, easy to install. This handle solved a problematic door that needed to open from the inside and the outside, but could not take a standard door knob. It’s given the door, a unique character and functions perfectly.

I had to add a few pieces of wood to my gate and post to make this work. Drilling the hole to line up the 2 sides and still have the latch bolt catch properly was difficult and the way our old gate was made, the catch had to be mounted very close to these edge of the other side causing a slight rub against the gate as it opens and closes. I sanded it doubt a bit and it works. Unfortunately, I stripped 3 of the philips head screws that came with the catch so I had to replace those. This would have been a straiforward mount if the gate and post were not so old and out of plumb. Otherwise, it looks fine and operates well. I wish the bolt was 1/2 longer as I could have set the catch in a little more from the edge to avoid rubbing. The gate latch itself is made well enough but considering the type of abuse our gates get from the gardeners and meter guys, I can't estimate how long it will be before it needs to be replaced.

I ordered this to replace a broken doorknob leading to my basement utility room. I chose it because it could accommodate a thinner door. The installation was fairly Strate forward, although a drilling templet was not included, leaving me to use the hardware to mark my holes. It is a sturdy latch and works well. Although it has a place for a padlock it should not be considered a security lock. The whole unit can be removed with nothing more than a Philip's head screwdriver with or without a lock. It does suit my purposes well and may suit yours too,

I have a really old house and my 3rd floor door is old and wooden. I've been using a slide lock on the inside and a hook lock on the outside to keep the cats out (allergies) but if one person is up there asleep with the door locked on the inside, there was no getting in without waking them up. Because of the orientation of the door, other types of knobs I've used would need to be upside down...which wouldn't work. This one was PERFECT! Exactly what I needed! I'm so glad I found it! (Other knobs I've looked at with the right orientation were over $100, believe it or not. This was very reasonable. Easy to install & works Great!

I don’t often write such great reviews because let’s be honest, these days most stuff is bad quality or just doesn’t work. But this door latch is really great. It is perfect for anyone with a weird gate that doesn’t align. You can use it with a very thick gate up to around 2inches. It really allows you to play with the design. As for the quality, we will see since I just installed it. Also, all you need is a drill with a screw bit and a large drill bit. I am not a professional handy person, I actually had to replace a flimsy and super cheap latch system that our former handy person (that we won’t hire again!!) installed. It stopped working after a little while so I had to find an easy but functional solution and this is it!!

My father had this on our shed growing up and I had to get one for the kids playhouse. Built to last and works well. Easy to install. No issues.
