Get this!!! Best cookware EVER!!!
If I could give this more stars, I would!!!! This is the best investment in cookware I have ever made!!! I use it almost daily. After months of use, it still looks brand new. Completely nonstick. Easy to clean. The metal handles do not heat up on the stove. Of course, the do in the oven. I LOVE IT and will be buying more pieces!!

Bit of a learning curve needed- but excellent pan!
Our old Calaphon deep nonstick pan warped up. We needed a good deeper pan that was nonstick. I'm a researcher when I buy. Everything. After narrowing down to 3 pans - I pulled the trigger on these pans. It was actually a Christmas present to ourselves ( wife and I). First, it's packaged well. It's definitely got a bit of weight to it. The lid fits well and it's nice when cooking sausage or bacon instead of using our grease gaurd. A few important notes after using: You'll need more heat than you're probably used to. I cooked my kids pancakes in it. Typically, I set heat at 4-5. The first pancake took a long time to cook ( see the picture of light colored pancake). The second pancake I cranked heat to 8. Much better cooking time and better looking pancake ( I like crispy buttery edges on the pancakes). Pan heats evenly and lays flat on out glass cook top. My wife cooked eggs on it. First time...didn't turn out fluffy. Second time...upped the heat and much better eggs. So note...higher heat needed. You almost have to heat it like a cast iron pan. Cleaning is great! Rinse and soft sponge and it's clean. I've asked my wife never put in dishwasher. Many pans say they're dishwasher safe...I say it's the worse thing to do to pans. The nonstick is great. Very little butter or oil is needed. We have high grade stainless, expensive non- stick pans and griddles...this is definitely easy to cook with and much easier to clean. Oh...the nontoxic coating is a huge plus! (Blue looks great too!)

Excellent nonstick sauté pan
Excellent pan! The nonstick surface works very well. If residue happens to form that doesn't come off with a simple sponge and dish soap, all you need to do is add a bit of baking soda. That will provide the needed cleaning without damaging the surface. I love the size of this dish. It really allows for mixing of a full recipe to come together in a way that the frying pan size doesn't quite allow. The cover also fits on well and has a hole for steam to escape which is very helpful. Because it is metal, the handle can get hot down near the connection with the pan. That's worth it, of course, because it leaves you the option of baking with the whole pan. Overall this is a great value. If you care for it properly it will stay non-stick for a long time.

Best pan in the cupboard
I used this pan to fry chicken for dinner and loved the outcome, all with using less oil than required for the stainless-steel pan. The ceramic finish is not only a healthier option, it also does a better job of browning (caramelizing). Yes, it is on the expensive side but, when you consider health benefits it is well worth the cost, in my opinion.

Excellent nonstick pans
Caraway pans are excellent. The quality of the nonstick is fantastic and heavyduty. Great heat distribution. A pleasure to cook in.

Best pan we've used!
My husband loves this pan! We have had this for about 6 months now and he absolutely loves it! I love it that he cooks! Our old pan this size needed to be replaced and we decided to try this one from the reviews. We wanted a quality pan that we thought was non-toxic. We use it as instructed with minimal oil and a lower heat and so far it's worked great. It is significantly heavier than our older pan. When the rest of our set needs replacing we'll get more from this brand for sure.

Pretty and Sturdy
I just love this skillet. It’s non stick without any chemicals. I make stir fry, potstickers, sautéed vegetables, crispy potatoes, taco meat etc. in it. If anything starts to brown the bottom, I add a little water or broth. It’s so pretty and the lid is nice because it has a little hole for steam to escape. The pan and lid are a bit heavy so if you have wrist or hand issues you’ll need to be careful. It came very well packaged. It’s super easy to clean.

Caraway vs TeChef vs DaTerra Cucina
First impression of the Caraway packaging: Impressive. Above and beyond. Yet, one has to wonder right off the bat how much the PAN is actually worth and how much you’re paying for the presentation and extra “stuff.” Impression of paint finish and coating: Poor. Right out of the box, my sauté pan had dings/missing “ceramic coating” inside of the pan, around the rim, and on the underside (food facing side) of the lid. Given this is a brand new pan, this is quite concerning. Even if small, you can tell the coating is very thin and unevenly sprayed. Food will already be exposed to what lies beneath…and even if the lid isn’t touching food, steam/condensation can drip from the exposed part onto food. Then there is the top of the lid. Oy. Smears, smears, smears. Washed it numerous times in numerous ways and used different towels to dry. So many smears. Very unsightly. And to be honest, I’d rather see my food, so would prefer a glass with silicone edge lid like DaTerra makes. Before automatically returning, I did sauté some ground hamburger for the pups just to test it out to see if I’d even want to try buying another. I wanted to know how I felt about that thin ceramic coating after heating, cooking, and washing. Collectively, between the paint job on the outside and the coating on the inside, it just seems like a very delicate/poor quality pan even though it is very “pretty” from afar. When I first looked at the interior of the Caraway pan, it reminded me a lot of my TeChef grill pan. I have included a photo to show you them side by side. TeChef is substantially cheaper and has the same non toxic claims. And to be honest, the coating on the TeChef is a higher quality than the one that came on the Caraway. Evenly coated, no dings or black speckling. Washes nicely also. I’ve had the DaTerra Cucina Vesuvio ceramic coated fry pan (not pictured, but you can search for it and see what it looks like) for three years. That pan also had a superior coating to this Caraway pan, in my opinion. Additionally, the paint on the Vesuvio exterior was very durable. However, just like most reviews state, these types of coatings are all amazing at the very beginning and then begin to wear and weaken with use quite quickly. I was able to do the detergent/baking soda cleansing trick frequently to remove any carbonization, but it’s now at the point where the coating is wearing too much around the rim and in the pan itself, so I began to look for replacements. I had a frustrating exchange with DaTerra’s customer service team. I simply asked for a good condition used pan since I already had the lid and didn’t need a full set again. They immediately started in with defensive questions like “have you used metal utensils, put in the dishwasher, etc. etc.” and I was like, why is this necessary? I’m simply telling them it’s not in a condition I’m comfortable with anymore and would like to buy a replacement. Not trying to get a free pan or tell them their pan was crap! I was, again, trying to buy another, but without the lid since it was unnecessary. Anyway, they decided after looking at the pictures that mine was fine and I didn’t need another pan. Well, strike one for them, but then strike two came when I actually bought another DaTerra Vesuvio set on Amazon that was slightly discounted due to having non-original packaging. Well, when that one arrived, there was a clear ding on the inside of the pan itself exposing the aluminum, so back it went. I decided I don’t want to proceed with another Vesuvio after all. Regarding TeChef, I was a little skeptical getting another pan due to some people receiving ceramic coated pans that claimed to have Teflon. TeChef claimed it was a typo, and in their defense they do indeed have a Teflon line, so labels can get messed up, but it just shows how all of us, truly, are simply taking their word that these coatings are “non toxic” and don’t contain PFOAs, PTFE, lead, cadmium, etc. etc. No one is actually proving these things (from any company) or proving that their surface is indeed completely safe and non toxic. So, since it looks basically like the Caraway, I’d say it probably was a misprint and doesn’t contain the Teflon. Their Teflon coated pans are dark inside. Now, I have the decision to make of returning the Caraway and buying a TeChef fry pan or try another, more expensive and delicate Caraway - simply due to the looks and this thing sitting on my stove daily. Truly, that’s the main difference - well, that and the significant weight of this pan. Otherwise, I believe DaTerra, TeChef, and Caraway all perform very similarly when cooking. Eventually the coating will wear, things will stick, etc. UPDATE: I returned the dinged Caraway sauté pan and the dinged skillet and replaced both with a #10 Field cast iron skillet along with a leather handle cover and I’m in love with the thing! I’m able to use my DaTerra glass lid, though Field also sells lids. Now THIS will last forever. Unlike coated pans. Tips for loving instead of hating cast iron: watch videos on care/use, don’t use soap, remember to season it routinely, and get a chainmail scrubber. I bought a chainmail scrubber with a handle that works great. You can search: “Cast Iron Cleaner Brush with Handle, Soldered Fine Chainmail Scrub Brush+Tray - Small Ring…”. It’s easier on the hands than ones that make you touch the chainmail links.

Defective product out of the box
Bought this pan for my daughters birthday, she received it, opened the box and the handle is loose. No, it was not damaged in shipping (box does not have a dent in it), sounds more like pour quality control. Very disappointed, I will contact Caraway and voice my opinion personally. After Contacting Caraway, it was explained to me that this company is an unapproved re-seller. They are selling this pan at twice the price (Caraway is selling them at $145. My own fault for not being more diligent, lesson learned.

Lid should be glass!
Who doesn’t monitor their cooking, e.g eggs, sauces, onions etc…!!?? I have to constantly lift and peek letting out heat and dripping water. It’s a huge pain. I try to balance a clear lid from my old pan but it doesn’t quite fit. Otherwise I like the pan itself.
