Self Healing Rotating Cutting Mat 18x18 (17" Grid), Perfect for Quilting & Art Projects

This cutting mat is a great size for when working on my larger quilt blocks. The rotating feature makes it safer, easier, and more accurate to cut all sides of my blocks. The mat is durable, easy to clean, and the self healing feature makes it long lasting.

This is an amazing product! A cutting mat on a turn-table? What? Who knew? I’m not a quilter, so I had never come across this, but Facebook thinks, because I sew, I must be a quilter, and advertised a product similar to this to me. It was too small & too expensive, so I turned to Amazon to find the largest one available, for the most affordable price, with the best reviews—and this one is a great value for its size and it works! I sew lingerie and all of my pattern pieces are fairly small, as are the fabrics I use. This cutting mat, on top of my cutting table, makes the cutting process so much easier and quicker! I am always cutting the right side of the pattern and don’t need to walk around my table or try to turn the non-turning cutting mat *or* my pattern & fabric! (A “lefty” would always be cutting the left side of their pattern!) It seems to be durable, but I’ve only been using it for a few short months—but it’s still wonderful & in good shape, just like the day it arrived. (I always use sharp, new, and nice rotary cutter blades, so I haven’t had to press very hard, which does extend the life of any self-healing mat.) It did smell a bit at first, but i just let it “off-gas” on my shaded porch for a few days. This is standard with any self-healing mat that has been protected in plastic & not just left out on a retail shelf (to off-gas before you buy it!)

I wish I would have purchased this product years ago. This is so handy!! I love it. If you quilt, you need it. Especially great when you have a lot of pieces to cut out. You don't have to keep turning the fabric and being careful to keep everything straight and lined up. Just turn the whole cutting board.

I recently purchased this spinning mat because of the good reviews for it. I'll have to add my good review of it also. I bought the 17 X 17 which is a good size for all uses in my opinion. This is a very good cutting mat and made with great quality materials. I love the way it spins...not so much that it's out of control when you are cutting on it as another mat that I have does....but it is also easy to rotate the mat when you need to. I love the degree of markings on the mat and the foam, yet grippy backing is perfect for holding the mat in place while cutting. I have had no problems with the mat smelling whatsoever. I couldn't be happier with this mat and highly recommend it.

Just received it on Sept 29 2020. Have used it and so far it does what it claims. Rotation is quite and the scale/ruler is 17 x 17. Good size. Doesn't move when cutting. It also rotates 360°. This is an excellent buy and is priced well below the stores. It was delivered a day late, but happy I did receive it. So glad I bought this one. Great choice. I returned a different rotating mat that was round, because it was too busy with colors and it didn't have a ruler all around the edges. It had a square10x10" in the middle and those numbers were inside the the square, so you couldn't see the numbers when you covered it with your project. It was suppose to be 16". Not sure. I learned I'd rather have a square surface. So it was returned.

There is a slight smell to the product when removed from the package. I am finding the cutting board easier to use than other brands. I do not have to apply as much pressure from the rotary cutter to get a clean straight cut. Also the trimmings are easier to remove from the board. I am using the board for squaring up quilt squares and cutting binding. The one thing that requires some getting use to is the additional lines at the 1/2 inch mark. Once you get use to the additional lines they can help with the accuracy of the squares and strips.

This is my second one it’s great and turns easily. Great valve for the money.

After reading some of the reviews for the Calibre Art rotating cutting mat I decided to try it rather than another olfa mat. I have a smaller rotating mat made by olfa but I have to say this rotating mat is much nicer. It doesn't come apart like the olfa one always does and the base is a bit thicker. The self healing mat is excellent, I have cut alot on it since buying and it's very good quality. The price is great too. I would definitely recommend buying the Calibre Art mat.

The cutting mat arrived on time and well packaged. It is very good quality self healing mat which rotates. I have found it very useful in a numberer of crafts such as quilling, painting etc. The fact that it rotates so easily is helpful. I expect from the quality that it will last for years and when it does wear out I would not hesitate to order a new one from Calibre. Thank you

Works great! I’ve tried smaller ones and other brands, but this size is perfect. Large enough to cut quilt blocks.

I have wanted one of these for years but finally bit the bullet and I am so glad I did. This mat is super sturdy and great for quilt piecing. It's very sturdy and turns easily. My only issue is that some deeper cuts don't heal right away. Otherwise, this mat is great and I use it every time I'm in my studio. Very pleased.

Wonderful for quilting. Cutting material is so much easier. I don’t have to fuss as much being able to rotate the board.
