Great reusable filter - great taste, no inversion method required!
This is the only reusable Aeropress filter I've tried so far, but I am extremely pleased and would highly recommend it to anyone. Most of the stainless filters I read about have "larger" holes which prevents the filter from holding the coffee if you pour it in the regular way, i.e. the Aeropress standard method that you would use if you had a paper filter. The filter instructions tell you to use the "inversion" method. This prevents the coffee from leaking out and getting an uneven brew, but I was perfectly happy not doing acrobatics in my kitchen at 5:00am and wanted a stainless filter that functioned like the paper filters that I was used to, but still improved flavor and prevented me from constantly buying and throwing away filters. This filter from CremaCraft does just that. I was able to use it effectively and easily the very first time without having to learn any new method that would have caused me to spill coffee everywhere. I did a side by side taste test with my paper filters and noticed a richer flavor. So it was easy to use and tastes great. It cleans easily, and is a great filter for my use. This filter is a little pricier than other reusable filters, so you'd have to go through thousands of paper filters to recoup the cost, but honestly, Aeropress is so much cheaper than other fancy coffee/espresso makers, I really can't complain. I enjoy the richer coffee flavor and the convenience of not having stacks of paper filters, so I still give 5 stars.

Don't buy: let's grounds through it
I expected this to be better than my other mesh filter, but it's worse. Positives: - design is cool Negatives: - allows grounds to get through it - slimmer than expected

Good resuable filter [offered a quick refund after receiving one with uneven hole sizes]
Update: Company contacted me and offered to refund and replace! Good customer service. The original product itself works pretty well, hence the 4 star updated. It should be the most fine of the solid filters, but still lets a bit of sediment through on most grinds (a bit more than my s-filter). However, it seems more durable and is easier to clean than the s-filter, and allows for a bit more pressure, which is nice. Likely the best filter for some recipes, so it's nice to have, despite not being quite as fine a filter as mesh or paper. ------------------------------------ Product has uneven hole sizes. Two of the holes are very small the rest seem kind of large. I'm not sure if the small ones didn't get cut through, or the if most of them were cut a size too large. Regardless, this is the most expensive Aeropress filter on Amazon, claiming to be "competition grade", last a life time, and have hole precision to roughly the micron. It feels unacceptable to ship a manufacturer defect product without basic quality checks (I spotted this in 5 seconds out of the box, as it's pretty obvious to the naked eye in good lighting). p.s. I've pressed hot water through it and tried cleaning it, so it was not just dirty out of the box or something. Definitely a defect. Photos of both sides attached.

Great Metal Filter
This metal filter does a great job. Many people have commented on metal filters clogging after time and consider that to be a defect. All that is required is effective cleaning and that can be done with an espresso machine cleaner OR more conveniently pick up some denture cleaning tablets and drop the filter in hot water with the denture tablet. Coffee oils are not effectively removed as they build up over time with just hot water rinsing or washing with soap or detergent. Espresso machine cleaner or denture tablets do the job perfectly. The holes are very fine and even with a fine, near espresso coffee grind I find the metal filter delivers a clean clear cup of coffee with full flavor. I've been using this filter for months and with proper cleaning it has performed perftctly. I love it.

Makes a better cup of coffee
Works well. Unlike a paper filter, this filter allows more of the oils and acids thru into the brewed coffee. Makes a better cup of coffee, at least to my tastes.

Hands-down the absolute best reusable filter for your Aeropress.
At 80 microns pore size, this is the finest laser-punched metal filter disk on the market for the Aeropress. What I appreciate especially about its design is how flush the disk is, which makes cleanup almost effortless compared to competing mesh filters which tend to trap fines more easily and clog the filter. I'm new to this product, but I can already feel this purchase is worth every penny. Edit: As an added bonus over the mesh variety, the thickness of the product won't introduce much additional friction when screwing on the filter cap. I barely even notice it when brewing inverted.
