Wow, this keyboard is smooth and quiet! It's a replacement for a cheaper Logitech keyboard (MK200) and wanted to see how well the Amazon Basics holds up. Sure enough, I'm impressed! They keyboard is quiet, typing is smooth. The clicking on the mouse is silent! Sounds like a light 'thud' when using it. Same for the scroll wheel, nice and quiet! It feels nice in my hands and it's nearly flat on my desk. No lag at all since it's a wired connection (something I get often from Logitech keyboards prior) and it's super easy to use! Just plug and play right out of the box! Functionality is a plus with buttons dedicated to the File Explorer (button with monitor icon) and Media Player (button with music note icon.) Overall, it serves my needs perfectly. 5 stars across the board for the price!

This keyboard and mouse combo gets the job done without any fuss. I needed something cheap and simple. . The price is hard to beat for a reliable wired set. If you want something simple and functional without spending a lot this is a solid choice.

Excellent keyboard, totally recommend it for my Macbook Pro, and here's why... So I spilled some coffee (just a little) on my Macbook Pro keyboard and the Command key died... its an older computer so I decided I'm just gonna let it be broken and get a replacement keyboard to use (and yes, I have learned my lesson!). Tried a couple of $20-30 bluetooth keyboards by 2 different makers, both purchased on Amazon, and both suck for different reasons. In my research I found Amazon Basics, their line of products that they, as no surprise, closely monitor reviews and ratings on Amazon.com and make product improvements based on those reviews. And the 3 Amazon Basics products I've used so far have all been superior quality to all other unknown brands. I just love this keyboard! Its well made, the keys feel great and it looks good (high gloss black body, matte black keys). Comes with a mouse too, which I though I just throw out, but I tried it out and to be honest after using an Apple trackpad for a few years, its a joy to use a mouse again :). The mouse is nice too, matte black, very light weight, simple. It's a Windows keyboard, so you'll have to re-map the command key and options keys, just use an app like Karabiner, 5 min fix. The only minor gripe I have with the keyboard is there's no Windows/alt/control key mirror to the right of the keyboard, instead there's a alt, right-click glyph tagged button, function key and control key (in that order). That strange right-click key is not recognized by Mac, so it can't be remapped with the app I'm using. So be warned if you must have an identical set up as a mac keyboard on the right, it ain't gonna happen. Even still... For the price to quality ratio, definitely 5 stars. It would be great to have a Mac version of this keyboard, so Amazon if you're listening, you've got my vote to make one :)

1. Sound. They keyboard is quite louder than I expected as it isn't super flat chicklet keys. However, it is still only about 1/2 of the volume of a full size mechanical keyboard. Loud enough to hear (even if you are a light typer like myself). But, it isn't the worst. 2. Feel. The keyboards keys are slightly rigid and not too comfortable to type on. After 5 minutes my wrists are already tired from having to press so hard on the keys. The mouse plastic feels almost soft to the touch? Or smooth? Which is nice as it isn't scratchy or irritating. The keyboard also stays in place nicely on a plastic desk, so I assume other surfaces it does too. 3. Mouse tracking. The mouse is very smooth across a basic mouse-pad. It is very quiet. The scrolling bar has the notches in it and is also quiet. 4. Aesthetics. It looks nice for $15. And it is pretty quality material for such a low price point. I was considering getting the Apple wired keyboard but decided that $50 wasn't worth it. ***However, the biggest sacrifice in not getting the Apple wired keyboard is comfort and quietness. This Amazon keyboard is about 10x louder than the essentially whisper silent Apple wired keyboard, although the Amazon mouse is quieter than a wired Apple mouse. Things to keep in mind.***

02/03/19 i ordered the amazonbasics keyboard & mouse combo on may 2018. i will mostly speak about the keyboard. the mouse was simply a "bonus" for me to keep as a spare. the keyboard is what i'm typing on right now. it works well. i play games like daggerfall, 7 days to die, the sims 3, & warframe. it works great on all of 'em. however, there's the issue of rollover / nkey. it doesn't have good rollover. i noticed recently. i'm surprised that it hasn't affected my gameplay (i'm not competitive, so that may be why). the wasd keys are on their own circuit, but the rest are restricted to a measly 2 keys. i noticed recently when messin' with a midi keyboard app. that'll be the only reason i'm looking for a new keyboard. the board's durable enough. i haven't been abusive to it, but there are no defects after 6 months. the keys all do the job. the sound is ok -- not loud. size? full size but not huge. it's got a number pad. good. i like the placement of the media keys -- specifically, the volume controls on the top-right. i briefly used the mouse. it's smaller than the logitech that i use, but it feels good. it has an unusual, almost-rubbery feel to it. it's hard to accurately describe, but it feels good lol. the sensitivity is a good setting (you don't really need one MEEElion dpi for gaming). again, the only issue with it was the size -- it's small. tl;dr keyboard good. good mouse. good good. cheap. buy? very value. ..seriously, it's great for the price.

I was actually about to do I big mistake buying a Magic Mouse and an Apple Bluetooth keyboard for 100 dollars, so i finally decided to find an alternative affordable solution to get my mac mini a mouse and a keyboard i can work with. I've been using it for a few weeks now, and my experience with it was very positive : It is very quiet, comfortable to use, has a slim layout with all of the standard PC keyboard keys, and overall works fine. It's a really great deal and I have yet to run into any problems with the keyboards. If you go in any other retailer i'm pretty sur you will not find a price as low as this one. The only thing to keep in mind is that this keyboard is (of course) not optimized for mac, however, being a basic USB keyboard with no extra functionality, i had no compatibility problems with my computer running Linux. The mouse is simple but i really do love the soft skin touch, which is much better that my old DELL ex-mouse. Amazon did surprise me on this one ! I honestly don't regret this choice as i don't see any reason i should have spent more than 15 dollars for a keyboard or a mouse. Unless you have some specific need such as gaming or designing, this keyboard and mouse are a good deal !

Summary: Good product for the price, mine stopped working appropriately within warranty period and got replaced. Buy if you are looking for a decent keyboard at a good price (and if ergonomy isn't a big issue for you). Description: this is a good investment, especially if you are looking for something cheap but with a decent quality. Mouse: it is a conventional laser mause. Works quite well. The cable connects to the USB port. So far I have no complains at all with it. Keyboard: feels good, it feels like typing in a laptop keyboard. It is very compact but for me at least that is not an issue. In terms of ergonomy it can improve. First the keyboard has a specific height. Unlike must other keyboards out there it doesn't have a feature to lift itself up and adjust a little bit to make you comfortable. Also it would be useful if it offered some kind of support for the hand as we type ( not an issue if you type for a little time, but if you type a lot, a support will be of great use). Experience: worked well for the first months, but the volume key got stuck and it caused a massive pain. Fortunately, this happened during warranty period and Amazon sent me a new one right away. Warranty: being an amazon product, handling my issues with the missworking keyboard was easy. A five minutes chat solved my issues and azon sent me a new keyboard at no cost. Warranty is a 10/10

I first bought one of these about 15 years ago in the States. I used a Logitech K750 at the time and I think that was the best keyboard for typing that I ever used. Back to the Amazon Basics wired keyboard - I use this for EVERYTHING, including gaming, and it is the best overall wired keyboard I have ever used. The space in between the keys is absolutely necessary when you have bigger hands. The keyboard is spill resistant and typing on it is a breeze. Travel is about medium-low, which is great when you are a faster typist. The only bad is that the letters wear out eventually. If it weren't for that, I could see myself using one of these babies for a decade, no problem. The controls for volume up, volume down and mute are placed comfortably on the top right. This is a full sized keyboard and it doesn't have the little feet to prop it, the curvature of the board does that automatically. It is extremely sturdy - drop proof and no keys have ever come out of the board. This is a 5/5 stars, 100% recommended. Please keep in mind I'm not comparing this keyboard with a premium, pricey board, but rather with other boards in the price range with similar features.

One of the best USB keyboard and mouse combo that you can buy at this price. I use it now for my Desktop. Its elegant look and finish is excellent. You get this same quality only above Rs.1500/- +. The hotkeys and multimedia rich keyboard make your life easier. The keys are perfectly spaced for your finger which enables smooth typing. The mouse has matte finish while the keyboard has glossy look. To get more functionality of this keyboard, I used a windows application to tweak the keys. Some keys like 'Insert', 'PauseBreak' which I do not use or have never used is programmed for some other useful windows shortcut. The keyboard and mouse cable is long enough to serve its purpose. Like with most keyboard and mouse, it does not require any drivers to work. It works best in all Windows operating systems. The mouse fits perfectly in your hand and does not need a mouse pad. Overall, I would suggest if you are confused about buying a branded keyboard mouse combo in the range of Rs.1000 to 1500/-, then you can totally go for this, 'Amazon Basics keyboard and mouse even when it is priced for Rs.1500/-. Do not wait for it to go in the lightning deal cause this product is dripped with the value.
