perfect adapter
this fits perfectly on my usb wifi adapter and my cantenna antenna. It gives a boost of about 3-6 decibles over the 3 foot cable I was using. if you are making a cantenna, use this to attach your usb device directly to the cantenna and use a usb extention cord to the wifi adapter. makes a big difference in signal strength and quality.

This is not a RP-SMA male connector! It is an SMA male connector
I was extremely disappointment when I received my adapter and tried to use it with my Asus wireless router. I ordered a RP-SMA male connector but instead received a SMA male connector. There is a major difference between the two which prevents them from being interchangeable. The reason they are called reverse-polarity is because inside conductor uses a receptacle (or hole) instead of the standard SMA pin conductor. This means that a standard SMA male has a center pin and inside threads while a RP-SMA male has a center receptacle with inside threads. If you have questions check out this link [...] I contacted the seller and they claimed that this is the only SMA adapter they have in their inventory which means that it was impossible that they shipped the wrong version. Does this mean that Cables to Go is mis-labeling all of their products?

Perfect adapter, as described and pictured
Simple, works just fine. I used this to hook up my Alfa 500mW adapter directly to a 2.4GHz dish antenna, with great success. I haven't measured the loss on this connector, but the surfaces are clean, and it seems solid. Not much more you can ask for...

Good Quality and functioon - carefully note SMA connector lingo/terms
These adapters are needed to wire up 802.11 wi-fi amps and antennas. The terminology/language relating to the gender annotation of SMA connectors is counter-intuitive for many folks so be sure you order the correct connector configuration. Wikipedia has some good photos of the SMA connector types. Be sure to order the correct adapter types to avoid disappointment.

SMA tp N-Male Adapter rocks!
This is the perfect connector to take the cable in from an outside wireless network antenna to a wireless access point inside. Worked fine. I'm very pleased with this cable adapter.
