Great Full Face Respirator for CBRN Threats
Mira Safety's CM-6M is overall a well-built and effective respirator mask for CBRN survival purposes. A robust build and effectiveness as a respirator provide peace of mind for anyone worried about CBRN threats. Visor- The visor is, simply put, massive. The visor takes up almost all the front face of the respirator and provides a very wide field of view with little to no fogging. This wide FOV enables crucial situational awareness but has a couple of drawbacks. -Stock Weld & Eye Relief: With no soft material around the cheek and a non-recessed visor, it is difficult to achieve any sort of proper stock weld or attain eye relief when using rifle optics (outside of open red dots). -NOD* Compatibility: The lack of visor recess makes it challenging to use helmet-mounted NODs *Night Optic Device Material, Durability, & Fit- Butyl plastic, the gold standard for CBRN respirators, is thick, durable, and flexible enough to ensure a strong seal. While I have not had this respirator long enough to assess its durability, based on my experience with similar masks, its construction feels robust and long-lasting โ provided it is properly stored and maintained. Fit: This respirator fits and seals a variety of face sizes. Both my girlfriend โ who is significantly smaller than me โ and I were able to achieve a proper seal and comfortable fit. Accessories- The included drinking system works as advertised. It is a CBRN-rated canteen system with a straw / hose that is simple and effective. While it does not come with a filter or with a carrying case, I think it is worth noting that the MIRA Safety respirator pouch is a worthwhile investment. I can keep this respirator, a spare filter, and my CBRN kit stored securely in the carrying case with no issue and still belt / drop-leg mount it comfortably. Respirator Effectiveness- I verified the seal using the positive / negative pressure test* and the respirator works as intended. It compares to the effectiveness of my previously issued gas mask in the US Marine Corps. I also tested the respirator, along with a MIRA Safety filter, using a chemical and particle test. Both airborne cleaners and particulates failed to permeate the mask or filter. Without any CS gas, this was the full extent of my ability to test the respirator. Overall, the MIRA Safety CM-6M is a solid choice for those seeking reliable CBRN protection. While it is not ideal for tactical applications due to visor-related limitations, it is well-suited for more practical emergency situations, such as: -Chemical spills (highway crashes / train derailments) -Polluted air conditions -Disease outbreaks For those prioritizing situational awareness and general-purpose CBRN protection, the CM-6M is a highly capable respirator.

Nice Quality and Good Fit
This is a high quality mask. While some say the rubber smells, it definitely isnโt something I noticed or that bothers me. While it comes with a small manualโ Initially, I had a tough time trying to connect the drinking canteen, but after watching a video, I 1) saw that it needs to really be pushed hard and secured into the canteen snugly/tight or the valve inside the tube wonโt open 2) the straw needs to be opened on the bottom right by turning clockwise (this also aims it toward your mouth, and 3) you need to gently bite on the rubber straw to drink. The second port cover/cap for a dual filter (if you wanted) is extremely hard to get outโbut honestly I wouldnโt put two at once. However, if you did want to put the filter on the other side, the cap is quite difficult to remove. Only other thing that bothered me a bit is that when I went to clean the inside of the polycarbonate shield with a lens wipe (usually safe to use on most lenses), I noticed it scratched the inside quite easily. I now use a microfiber cloth instead to wipe it clean. Other than those details, the fit is great and it is easy to don and tighten, doesnโt fog up easily or feel too hot or hard to breathe, which is good. I was going to give it 4/5, but decided on 5/5 because itโs more of a learning curve with using it and honestly with use Iโm sure itโs bound to get scratched anyway. Getting it along with the filter at its lowest cost didnโt hurt either ๐๐๐ป

MIRA SAFETY GAS MASK.
This is a great gas mask. both of the Israeli air filters fit and work properly to breath. Plus my Camelbak water hydration bladder vest connects with the Camelbak hose adapter. So I can drink water through the drinking tube. The visor witch is the lens or windshield. It doesn`t fog up as the box and instructions explain. I was wearing it outside earlier this morning. And it works well, properly, and perfect. But before using the mask outside. I tried in on my head, in my house. I had to make adjustments with the straps, of the head harness. And it fits on my face and the rest of my head the right way. Plus it fits properly even with long side burns, handle bar moustache, and beard, that is 1/8" below my chin. So it`s pretty much close clipped. And it fits well on my face with glasses on my eyes. And the canteen, I use as a water bottle in the house only. So all in all. this gas mask is very comfortable on my head. The MIRA gas mask is much better than my other two gas masks made by SJL and 3M. And on those two I have to spray anti fog spay on the both visors, so they won`t fog up. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don`t. But if I inhale through my nose, and exhale through my mouth, I`m okay. So now I put away the SJL and 3M gas masks permanently, and never use them ever again. And use the MIRA gas mask only from now on. I recommend that everyone in the world by and use the MIRA GAS MASK. And use it during this pandemic. And the last this is. I give the MIRA GAS MASK an A+.

Incredible value for the price
Used for law-enforcement. As with any piece of gear, if you take care of it, it will take care of you. When storing for a quick deployment, place a microfiber towel or the piece of foam that comes with it in between a strap and the lens. If you want to get super nerdy, you can get vinyl film for the outside of the lens to prevent scratching. as with most gas masks, youโll need to adjust your Kevlar strap to fit around the mask. I, like most other LE, just put the Kevlar on and let the straps dangle. Works fine. Never had an issue with sealing.

CERTIFIED Mask. Vital Piece of Gear for Bug Out Bag.
Look, this is one of those things you buy as assurance for when SHTF. You may never need to use it, but it's better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it. And you could save money by buying cheaper alternatives, but how do you know they will actually work when the time comes? I don't mind paying a couple hundred dollars if it means I'm getting a CBRN-D certified mask that's made using butyl rubber (which is proven to provide superior protection against chemicals) and has been tested against chemicals commonly found in chemical weapons. If you look at other protective masks listed on Amazon, they may use trigger words like "survival" or "emergency preparedness", but they steer clear of using the acronym "CBRN" in order to avoid legal trouble for their general purpose safety masks made out of silicone. Mira's masks are direct civilian version's of masks used by various military and law enforcement agencies (which means they share almost all, if not all, of the same certifications). You're getting military grade equipment at a competitive price compared to other well-known brands (such as Avon, which makes great products but very pricey). The reason I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the strap webbing. While I was in the military, I was issued an Avon M50, and the webbing on Avon's masks has an additional pull strap in the center of the back that allows for much quicker donning. We would have our masks prepared by folding the webbing over the lens so that as soon as you heard "GAS GAS GAS" all you had to do was smash your face into the mask and use that strap to pull the webbing over your head. Mira's masks take a little longer since you have to slide your head between the webbing and mask, then cinch the straps down. And when it comes to chemical attacks, literally every second matters. If they ever add that strap to the webbing, this would be a 5-star gas mask.

$235.99, is it worth it??? Defective products, poor customer service, false advertising.
---> Please read entire review. <---- There is need to know information about peripheral items toward the end. $235.99! Working as a welder fabricator, construction, renovation, repair as well as some pretty intense cleaning situations. Well, I've got to use just about every kind of respirator there is. Right out of the box I had an issue with this unit. One of the valves that prevents what you exhale from escaping the inside of the mass is deformed. It does not seal properly. I have not gotten good customer service on this issue. Professional grade equipment, perhaps? Professional grade Customer Service, definitely not! Updated, Sunday, March 8, 2026. I've tried to get in direct contact with the vendor. Cannot because Amazon prevents it. ---> "Thank you Amazon for making my Customer Service experience all the more lousy!" Through the problematically broken Amazon system, I have made the vendor aware that I would like to exchange the product. We'll see how that goes??? Updated Thursday, March 12, 2026. Now they claim that they're willing to accept the return on the product, but I have to send them a photograph of the product first. Which brings us right back around to the problem of how does someone who is dyslexic print disabled manage the broken communication system that Amazon provides we're emailing directly with the company would be far easier to manage on my phone. Honestly, I wouldn't buy anything from this company ever again. As I already said it comes down to Shawty Customer Service after the sale. Update, Sunday, March 21, 2026. Sorry about bearing the lead, but I didn't want to make a comment until I had confirmation. This mask as to other versions of it from this company, clearly advertise "you can connect this mask to a camel bag." This is not entirely accurate. In the sense that there is a adapter / valve that the company apparently doesn't have on the Amazon site, also does not list on their own website. That part I just can't wrap my head around? You can look up the "type M adapter" on eBay and get a set of two of them for about $10.00. The company apologized to me in an email and expressed that they intend to change their advertising materials to more accurately reflect what they're selling. My question is why do they not just sell that component? Hell, they could throw water or two of them in the box. It's a little piece of plastic. So I do not think that it is unfair to say that this company engages in deceptive advertising practices to say the least. Look, just find someplace else to buy this equipment from!
