The crystals are made of glass.

Will these shine through sheer curtains?

I haven’t tried hanging them behind sheers. I hang mine outside. I think if the sun shines on them through a window, you should be able to see them sparkle through the sheers.

What is the longest length of the suncatchers?

They range from 14” to 17” total length. With the chaines ranging from 8” to 9”. I have use fishing line attached to the end of the chain to hang them at different lengths. We actually have a total of 37, a variety of style, hanging in our screened in porch. When the sun shines through it’s quite a light show!

Can I use as a pull chain for a light?

I wouldn’t advise to use as a pull chain. The metal chain is probably not strong enough.
