Hands down, these are the best countersinks for wood, finish work. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THESE ON METALS. I find that the more aggressive looking countersinks work better for metal use. So far I’ve used one size for my purposes, but comes with three others that you may need. They’re small and large enough for small to medium size applications. Sinks clean and round with no mess or burrs when used with a drill press. When using a handheld drill, you get the same result, but the sink may appear to be oval due to the angle you’re drilling. After a couple of weeks running on the drill press all day long, the one bit I’ve used still manages to stay sharp. Take your time with them and it’ll last longer. Most importantly, they will countersink. Word of advise, drill a pilot hole first, it helps these sink in easier and true/straight. For the price, they’re worth the investment.

This is the kind of company that i can appreciate.... These bits arent over rated and do exactly what they're supposed to do. I am a Journyman Carpenter. Ive been using drill bits for nearly 30 years. Ive been dealing with companies over charging for bits like these forcing me to pay a ridiculous $40 up to $120 throughout my entire career as a carpenter. Corporate America is absolutely unhinged and eont change until people finally stand up asnd say ive had enough. Im greatful to companies like this one who still see a necessity to offer a reasonable costing and quality product back to its consumers.

Machining leaves poor cutting edges which themselves do not reach to the full width of the cone. I have not used them yet but if they fail to perform I’ll update this.

Burs were present and very minor, 5 minutes total with diamond hone set. Burs did not yield flaws in part. Nice set for the money.

These bits are great for countersinking cleanly in softwood. As softwood has varying degrees of hardness in the grains, some bits jitter and produce a burred finish. The bits also work well on hardwood and plastic, ideally with a pilot hole drilled first.

Makes very smooth and clean cuts but need to counter sink with a more aggressive bit first and finish with this as its not the sharpest. End result is great

Ho acquistato queste punte per svasare fori da mm 20 sul mio piano di lavoro in abete.L’ abete è un legno molto tenero. Dopo 10 fori si è “ sbeccata” la lama.( vedi foto). Sono stato costretto a restituirle.
