I picked this up after getting tired of flimsy apple slicers that bend or struggle to cut all the way through, and this one has been great. Right away you can tell it’s much more solid than the cheap plastic versions. The larger size is a big plus because it handles bigger apples without getting stuck halfway through. It cuts cleanly into 8 slices and actually goes all the way through instead of leaving the bottom connected. The stainless steel blades feel sharp and sturdy, and the handles are comfortable enough to get good pressure when cutting tougher apples. Cleanup is also pretty easy since everything rinses off quickly without fruit getting jammed everywhere. Pros: heavy-duty construction, cuts cleanly through larger apples, sturdy blades, easy to use Cons: none Overall: really solid apple slicer that feels built to last and works much better than the cheaper lightweight versions.

Works great! I love my apples cut into 16ths, and this makes the job a bit easier. If the apple is very asymmetrical, the slicer can fail to line up with the slicing guide at the bottom, but if you wiggle it a bit, you can get it to work. The slicing base is nice (when you can get it line up), because you can get it to slice ALL they way through, which is often difficult to impossible for the standard slicer without the base. With those standard ones, often, the apple is still kinda stuck, the thick skin on the bottom not completely cut, and then you have to push the pieces through the sharp edges with your finger, at risk of injury. The side guides being removable make this easy to store. Seems sturdy. Overall, very pleased with this apple slicer.

This works great if you have a lot of muscle. It was extremely hard for me to push it down and I ended up banging it on the counter. The slices are great, and the design is perfect. I will have to enlist my husband the next time I need an apple sliced.

I use this almost daily for my kids and really like it slices 16 at a time, makes it much easier to fit the apples in their lunch boxes. Being it is slicing 16 at once, it is harder to push down than my old 8-sclicer but the plastic guides on the sides make it easy overall. The guides on the slides align the slicer with the slots on the bottom making it safe and easier to use. Young kids may have an issue with it. The grip is good, the quality is good, and should last a long time.

Love this slicer!!! I use it almost everyday. It’s big enough for large apples. The slicer can be used with or without the base. Sturdy and sharp.

1) Does it look nice? Yes, design is nice, but the handles and the walls are kind of close together and make it hard to grip the handles all the way. 3.5/5 on that. 2) Does it perform the job its meant to do well? No. 1/5. Maybe even a 0/5. I had an apple slicer when I was a kid (25+ years ago) that cut the apple into 6 slices, and while the size was a bit inconvenient, it did the job so that I, as a child, could cut my own apples. This apple slicer, uhm, well, if you have enough muscle you can certainly clobber the apple apart and leave the butt of the apple behind due to how the slicer and base fit together. It's not sharp. I can (gently, but with some pressure) press my fingers into it without fear of cutting myself. The handles are also pretty much straight out, which doesn't give you a whole lot of leverage to press down. Overall, it's fine. It's definitely not winning any awards for useful tool for people who cannot cut apples with a knife. It'll work for people who can muscle their way through an apple with a dull slicer.

This large apple slicer works very well. It makes cutting an apple into 8 equal pieces quick and easy. Most ordinary apple slicers don't cut all the way through the apple, leaving you with dangling slices that can only be pushed through the other end, which can lead to skin cuts on fingertips. This slicer, instead, cuts every slice all the way through.

While I like the design, it doesn't always cut cleanly through the apple. It might be because the blades aren't as sharp as I'd hoped. I have to use a considerable amount of force to press it through the apple. The slices made with the cutter often have ragged edges, and seem to oxidize faster than ones made with a sharp knife. Four stars because it does do what it says, just not as easily or cleanly as I wanted.

Ce coupe pomme est génial, ça fait un moment que je voulais changer le mien qui ne faisait que 8 quartiers, celui ci en fait le double. Et c’est juste génial, pas besoin de recouper les pommes quand on fais une tarte ou pour les enfants qui veulent grignoter une pomme. C’est idéal dans la cuisine surtout pour ceux qui mangent des pommes tous les jours comme chez nous ou qui font beaucoup de cuisine. Le gros « plus » c’est le socle qui bloque bien le fruit, un jeu d’enfant.

Leider beim zweiten Apfel schon gebrochen. Sonst wirklich gut. Recht kleine Aufteilung was für mein Kleinkind genau richtig ist. Macht eigentlich einen super hochwertigen Eindruck und ist wirklich stabil. Die Griffe sind sehr praktisch. Ich würde es trotzdem wieder kaufen. Hoffe noch auf Rückmeldung des Verkäufers.
