no trash bags are included but u can use pretty much any groceries bag that u have

Do i need to use a bag inside or can i use it as it is?

No you don't have to if you don't want to, but you can throw a bag in if you do. The inside has a liner that cleans up pretty easy

Is the Lid removable?

No, it lifts on a hinge. But it is very nice and convenient to empty. It has a waterproof lining. I really enjoy having it in my car.

What is the width of the buckle if I need to buy an extender? Anyone know?

I did not measure the strap, but it was adequate for placing around the headrest on my drivers seat. I just raised the headrest and placed it around, then lowered the headrest back down, it is perfect. The straps do extend to a pretty long length. I hope it helps.
