Works better than expected. The cord is good quality and the metal clip on the back hasn't bent or broken in a full 12 hr shift a day for a whole week. Also the item itself may seem large when you get it but it's worth the length of the cord. I've bought and used many others that may have been smaller but being over 6ft tall means I gotta get my blade (or whatever you're holding) to a comfortable height AND distance and I haven't been able to do that whith ANY other product. Very satisfied with my purchase!

This keychain is the real deal. Most badge reels start to sag the second you add anything heavier than a single ID, but this one actually holds up.​I have two ID holders and a set of keys attached to it, and it stays retracted perfectly without dropping. The 31.5" steel cord feels incredibly durable and smooth when pulled. It's a great product that feels like it’s built to last. I would definitely buy this again!

I bought the double pack of these retractable badge holders around 4 years ago. I had gone through 5 or 6 fairly expensive ones from Walmart before deciding to buy these. I am still on #1 of 2! The 2nd one will be great when/if I ever need it. The plastic is worn a little bit on the sides of the actual piece that holds your badge, but the material is reinforced with some kind of (fabric?) material, so it's barely notable. The metal button that you fasten can get loose with time (as in, years). If that happens, just grab a pair of needle nose pliers and pinch the metal prongs tight again, the part that clasps the button.The metal body has held up well, the cable is a champ, and reinforced with plastic housing. I use this thing probably 50 times in a day, every day, for 40 hours a week. Absolutely no complaints - it's rare that I can tip my hat to a solid product anymore.

It’s a great product that really helps and allow me not misplace my keys. I have own one before which was a Christmas gift. The only concern I have over theCause of time that the the retractable string broke.

At first it was great, badge holder, a couple of keys. Worked perfectly for about a month, month two, started sticking on retracting (It was often extended nearly full length). Today I threw it away (6/11) Not what I expected from something so highly rated.Update 6/22 after my review being disappointed with the item, the seller contacted me and offered a refund. I asked if it would be possible to get a replacement which was as VERY quickly sent. I am now using the new one and will update this again in a week or two.My original review was 1 star and the prompt satisfaction has raised that to 3 star.Update 7/17 -- extremely happy with the product now. The first one must have been a fluke because after it was replaced I have been using the replacement daily and "hard" and it has fully lived up to my expectations. Vendor was extremely responsive and helpful.

Seems very sturdy and I expect it to last a while. The tension on the retracting spring is quite strong and it takes a bit of force to pull my attached keycard out and keep it from retracting. This can take some getting used to if you're used to a normal retractable keycard holder. Good for exercising your tricep muscle I guess.What's up with the words "subvertyour imagination" etched in tiny letters onto the side? I try to keep my imagination a subversion-free zone. I took out my metal file and scratched that off. I don't think that is a slogan that will catch on or sell a lot of product and would recommend the manufacturer omit this detail in future iterations. I'd rather not carry those words around with me.Other than that, and the extra few calories it takes to pull out and hold compared to a regular retractable holder, it does what it says on the tin and I'm satisfied with the product.

I have to have a card at work for scanning through security gates and the like, and the work-issued lanyard was awful.Bought this as a replacement, and I could ask for more. The plastic body feels sturdy, and the retraction has a fair bit of force to it. The clasp fits perfectly on my belt - although it may not fit so well on wider belts, so do be careful.One thing I didn’t notice, is that it includes a loop to keep keys on!Really solid product, I’d definitely get another.

It is very strong, it never falls off and yet it is very light. It also looks sturdy. I tried other brands but they either broke, fell off your belt or simply too loose. This a solid set of merchandise.
