Works, and works well!
Okay this item is exactly as pictured, and works just as described. No drilling of any kind is required. The thing operates, essentially, like a big C-Clamp, you assemble it first, slide it over the window ledge and then adjust it until it's tight against the building on both sides. Plastic adjusting cams let you fine-tune the tightness, and protect the walls. Note that the *minimum* width of your air conditioner has to be 18 inches for this thing work. I mention this because I had a casement/slider (vertical) air conditioner, 15 inches wide, at it was just an inch too narrow to fit. 16 inches would have been edge-to-edge, but still unstable, so I add an inch to either side and say 18 inches is the minimum.Any any rate, an excellent product, easy to assemble, easy to use, a complete joy. Stay cool!

No drilling
Can’t say about how it lasts. But it works. This is a 12k and weighs 80lbs.No worries unit is sound.Kinda overpriced for what it is but still cheaperthan others that do not require mounting hardware in yourwindow frames.Summer is short in vt and winters long.Didn’t want holes in the aluminum trim. They also supply a nice piece of foam rubber to fill gaps.More than happy with my purchase.5/26/2020I’m now using two of these. The one from last year is still like new and again very sound. No drilling easy to use.We have a 8k upstairs it was kinda using the slider to hold it in.I’m using the second one on it.I did get some 2”x2” foam makes filling holes easy.Pleased with my purchase so far.06/2021Still using both of the them and both are still like new!

A pain to assemble!
This was my only option because I rent. You'd think this thing would be easy to assemble looking at it. Holy cow it was ridiculous!! I had to do it before I could put it on the window because the tubes were so snug that they had to be smashed with a heavy shoe while holding it against the floor to get it to advance. Then I had to use a tool to depress the locking button because one would not depress with finger weight. When I finally got it together to put it on the window I had to really struggle to get it in place because it was already together. Then it wasn't tight enough so I had to use a heavy piece of wood to advance it one more notch while holding it in place with my body.It would have rocked due to the design of my window but I grabbed a piece of scrap wood to level it. You also should buy extra gaskets or insulation for the large gap at the bottom between the window and the frame. After all of my struggles the AC went in rock solid, sturdy and had no vibration. After struggling the previous two years and the AC falling after crushing my hand on the way down. This not so easy to assemble thing was a great investment and I couldn't be happier.

They look so much better than what i was using
Bought one of these at Lowes and had to have one for my bedroom...They look so much better than what i was using. The best thing I like about them is the adjustable fit and NO drilling needed in my windows!!

Worked for me
This no-drill, no-tools bracket worked for the smaller 10K BTU window air conditioner I use in my small home office. I think this might break under the weight of a larger unit, but it's perfectly balanced and secure with my smaller window unit. I bought mine used on amazon. I don't know that I'd pay the full price for this. I think I'd look for other options, but used at 50+% off it was worth it.

Not as good as Frost King's other bracket
I bought both this bracket and the Frost King ACBNT2 No Tools Tubular Air Conditioner Bracket. Unfortunately, one of my windows has a window box below it which meant I had to use this one.Assembly is not intuitive; the instructions are unclear and it's not easy to identify what pieces it refers to at any point (they had stickers labeling them A, B, C, D, but the instructions refer to things like "support bar"). The most frustrating part of the whole thing is the little pad that goes on the bottom foot that rests on the exterior wall. It appears to have lips to hold it at either side of a U, but the foot isn't shaped like that and it can only be "fixed" at one side. And "fixed" is in quotes for good reason, the pad fell off TWICE while I was trying to install it and I had to go downstairs and outside to retrieve it each time - doable in a house, but if you live in a large apartment building? Not good. Also, the component holding the cross bar to the one that extends out has a bump, so the AC sits on the bump and isn't flush with the cross bar. There are huge gaps at either side between the cross bar and the accordion parts of the AC, and another gap underneath because of the bump, and unlike the Tubular Bracket, this doesn't come with any insulation to deal with these gaps.I'm keeping it because I like the added security and feel more comfortable using this while shoving a large metal box out the window, but it's definitely a flawed product and I wish I could have used the other bracket. The Frost King ACBNT2 No Tools Tubular Air Conditioner Bracket, by comparison, was incredibly easy to assemble. As long as you have enough clearance below the window frame I'd definitely suggest using that support instead of this one.

I love too that it is removable if I ever want ...
Totally worth every cent! This is the answer to anyone with a window AC. I didn't need a handyman- just installed it myself! I love too that it is removable if I ever want to move the unit out of the window. Light weight and very sturdy.

Disappointing
It works, but I'm really disappointed by the product for this price point. This thing is 2/3 of the price of the air conditionner I needed it to support, and I can't even count on it to even hold the air conditioning unit in place. The black "feets" shown in the picture are not supports to hold your AC unit, they are for vibration absorption and it's just snapped on very loosely to the metal bars. The kit doesn't in include anything to hold your AC unit in place, not even anything to prevent it from sliding off of it. I still had to cut some wood rods to use as a stopper to prevent the AC unit from sliding out and then falling. Some adjustable L angled brackets on the exterior side would have been very welcome as a safety to prevent the air conditionner from moving. Or at least holes or grips of some sort so I could tie it with a rope or anything.I'm still not sure I'm trusting this thing long term to not have my air conditionner fall on someone's head from the third floor. I would rather have bought one of the kits that requires screws and screw it to a plank rather than use this product.

Effecient & Effective air conditioner window support
Works very efficiently & effectively.Does exactly what you paid for, stabilize and distributes the weight of your window air condtioner without requiring the use of any tools or holes necessary. That being said, one must be able to fill the bottom space remaining once your air conditioner is placed upon the item.

Who designed this, a kindergarten class?
Honestly do you not do tests before selling a product? If do, did you only fit it on 1 window. Not even close to being a universal design, that is if you can call it a design at all!!I have standard window fitting and you would require at least a 6” block of wood to shim it up in order for it to be level. That’s the biggest joke of it all, a spitit level, are you for real. You spent all that money on a stupid spirit level, how about a design, go figure.Complete waste of money. Poor design, plastic bits fall off if you blow on them, spring a waste of time, flimsy at best, stay well clear.

How to attach to mount
I returned it. Could not figure out how to attach the unit to the mount.

Decent product for the cost!
Great product! Definitely does the trick!! Mu only complaint is that it's very hard to press in the buttons to adjust it. I had to have my teenage son help me with it.
