Definitely 10 out of 10
We have several gamers in our home XBOX and PC, teen to adults and they absolutely love the quality, sound and comfort.

Just do it.
TLDR: If you're reading this, just pull the trigger. You're reading this because you're wondering if any of these reviews are real. I did the same thing. I'd never heard of RIG before my wife bought me a wired set for my birthday. They were fantastic. The way these are designed, they keep the weight of the headset off of your head.. The only reason you know these are on is because of your ears. Sound quality, the environmental quality (eg. hear it left, you see it left when you turn left - Positioning, maybe? I dunno.. these are great for "positional hearing") I put the set my wife bought me on my seat and went to the bathroom.. came back, and sat on em and broke them.. I may have had a few beers.. So, I enjoyed the headset so I looked at current RIG offerings, and came across this wireless set. Now, I've been thru the expensive ones, the "popular brand" ones.. and they were all crap. Batteries failed, didn't last., no distance... whatever. So, I wrote off "wireless" headsets. BUT, with RIG, I was so impressed with the wired headset I sat on and broke, I saw this wireless set and decided to give it a go. I've been a gamer since, literally, Pong. I have been in IT for over three decades. I'm impressed.. from the quality of the sound, the quality of the Mic, the battery life... EVERYTHING. Still the same lightweight "band" that keeps the headset weight off your head.. You won't be disappointed unless you get a unit that isn't 100% functional from the factory like mine is... and lets face reality.. nothing is 100% in manufacturing. I've not had to deal with returns, refunds, or replacement... just a happy old guy who was impressed with the quality for the price. If you're in the market and doing the due dilligence research... Like Nike Said... Just Do it. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent sound quality
Best headset ive ever had....used the 700HX before these and thought the sound quality was great on them...but these 800's are even more clean and crisp with the sound. And I love the chat/game sound mixer wheel right on the headset....anyone who has ever been in party chat while driving a vehicle in DayZ understands the struggle of not being able to hear people talking...but with the rig headset you can dial the game down low and hear your friends talking crystal clear while you drive in game.

Great Headset
My son needed a new headset for his Xbox gaming. After some research we went with this one. He seems to love it. The mic moves up and down and when in the up position it mutes. Would highly recommend

Steps to troubleshoot await
So, I was going to return it, but after troubleshooting and watching many videos on various other headsets, I got it to stop randomly disconnecting every few minutes. The troubleshooting was as follows: 1. Turned off my 2.4 g wifi signal 2. Deleted Dolby app 3. Moved connection from front to back 4 drug wire across room and set next to me After which, it started to work and did not disconnect. I then went and began reversing the process and turned the Wi-Fi on, reinstalled the app, moved back across the room, and with all of that, it still worked fine. Finally, I moved the connection to the back, and within five minutes, it started to randomly disconnect. I now have a charging station behind the TV and a transmitter in the front of the Xbox, and it works fine, so there is something interfering in the back. Overall, the sound is great. The Atmos is awesome as far as hearing where something is and sounds good with music from games as well. The mic can be a bit weird at times. Sometimes I am too loud for people, and sometimes I am not. I am not sure if that is me or the mic. It does get pretty loud on the volume. Overall, I like the build of it. It could use more breathable ear cups, but that is nitpicking. I charged it up after figuring out the problem and played for six hours, and it says it is still on high battery, so it is still full of charge. I will have to see how long it lasts. I like the charge base with the USB in it if you can use it that way. I can't, as stated, but it is a cool design. UPDATE: After three weeks of six hours of daily use, I charged it twice. The first time, it reached medium charge after a week. I then stretched the next use to two weeks; it was still on medium when I charged it again. Didn't take but a few hours to charge back up.

Amazing!! Love it!!
Bought for my boyfriend this Christmas (2025) and he absolutely loves it! He was talking about needing a new one and how this one is way better! He loves that it comes with a charging stand that you can set it on. It’s also very adjustable so that’s nice as well. The sound is so clear! 10/10 would recommend!

Best headset I used so far
Excellent headphones. Can be heard clear and I like the mute to flip option. Comfy and has the adjustment for different head sizes only headset with a charging stand at this price point well made. I came from a steel series after two from that brand gave mic problems after a year of use.

Not terrible, not great
Bottom line up front: if you can afford to pay extra and buy some Astro A50s or A40s, do so. ---- I bought these to replace a defective set of Astro A50s, so I already owned Dolby Atmos and was accustomed to a 'premium' headset. The Pros: - The first thing I noticed was how light these were! Not cheap feeling, but very light in your hands and on your head. - Very good 3D spatial audio, you can clearly hear bullets whizzing by, or hear footsteps coming up behind you. - Good sound quality, especially if you take some time to calibrate the equalizers and settings in Dolby Atmos. I found these to be more 'clear' sounding than my A50s, but the A50s had a 'richer' quality to them. - Easy to get setup and going, plug the bluetooth USB into the dock, plug the dock into the xbox, and power the headset on. 5 minutes tops. -------- The Cons (and why I am returning them and buying another set of A50s): - The motion sensor is not sensitive enough... these will power off and disconnect from the xbox if you happen to be relatively still while watching a video or playing a game. I found that I need to shake my head regularly to keep them from powering off. - Despite the lighter weight, I did develop some ear soreness after extended sessions. -Connection issues!! This headset will intermittently disconnect from the xbox during any given play session, but will absolutely glitch out if any other device in you wifi is on the 2.4 band. They required several factory resets before I could get them functional again, and the problem is 100% reproducable (my wife was in the other room on a laptop... which was on the 2.4 band. Once she swapped to 5ghz the problem immediately stopped, and it started again once she swapped back) - The overall range is significantly less than the A50s by about a third. Not a huge issue if you take your headset off to go grab a drink, but I prefer to keep mine on. The A50s will reach the kitchen, the Rigs won't. - The balancer between game sound and party sound is a joke, to hear my xbox party I had to dial the balancer 90% towards party chat to hear them at all. - My xbox crew reports I sound more robotic through the Rigs than the Astros.... I am not, in fact, a robot so this isn't ideal. ‐------- Overall the Rigs are a nice headset, especially at the price they ask.... but there are nicer headsets out there. Are the A50s twice as nice for twice the money? Maybe not, but the excellent A40s are in the same price range. Are you willing to deal with a few minor (and one major!) issues to save money? I wasn't.
