Amazing synth
This is the first higher end synth I've owned and after a year of use I'm really loving it. I feel like I can recreate any sound with it, it's extremely versatile. Coming from a microKorg, it's refreshing to have knobs to change the parameters instead of having to menu dive. This leads to more experimentation when creating sounds and more interesting results. I will say that this synth might be overkill depending on the genre of music you play. I mostly record indie rock/pop and sometimes find myself having to turn off one of the oscillators in order for it to "fit in" with the rest of the track. I wouldn't call this a "con", just be mindful of the rest of the elements of your track when creating your patches. Having said that, if you are making music where the synth is the main element this would be perfect. There's an option to add another 8 voices to this thing after purchase and I feel that most people probably won't need to do that, this thing really cuts through by itself. In terms of cons, I can only think of one thing: The distortion and reverb effects are a little wimpy. I'd suggest using guitar pedals/plugins if you want to add overdrive or a bigger verb. The other effects sound great.
