Two gigs with them and I'm sold
To be clear, these will never replace my favorite sticks. But even though I am generally not very heavy handed with my sticks and have learned to play with controlled dynamics, sometimes certain requested songs really need that "full drum" sound, but the volume standard set by the venue makes it difficult to use sticks. And I'm not a fan of using brushes, broom brushes, rutes, etc. purely for volume control as they shift the timber/tone of the kit significantly...and not all musical contexts lend itself to their effects. Thus enter these so called "Silent Sticks". What I like: 1) They do their job while still allowing for a fairly full drum sound. Whether riding on the cymbal/hats, playing tom grooves, disco patterns, half-hat punk patterns...these sticks delivered. I even had folks come up and compliment me on how well the drums balanced well with the rest of the band and in the room. They would inspect my setup. The playing cut through the band, but did not overwhelm the venue. 2) They are lighter than 7As, BUT they still have weight thanks to the rubber grips that make it feel like I am still swinging something. 3) They retain a good rebound and don't feel dead on the strike. You can double stroke on it or do a hihat mohler technique easy enough. 4) Aesthetically, I find them pleasing and professional looking. I know what matters most is the sound and handling, but this added cherry on top is welcome. 5) It pairs well with the RhythmBytes Groove Lite small venue cymbals as well as my Paiste PSTX's. I can get doesn't crashes with them let alone decent riding sounds, too. However, be mindful of...: 1) You can only really strike anything with the tip. For example, the abs plastic is a hollow tube, so to crash a cymbal with the shaft risks breaking it. It even warns you about that in the packaging. So as long as you use as intended by them, they will last. That said, I do get good crashing results with the tip...and if you pair them with thinner cymbals like Paiste PstX's you can have massive control over volume while retaining a good quality sound. 2). My usual grip is traditional, but these sticks seemed to not work well with me in that group. So I switch over to match grip. No biggie. Traditional tends to get me a thinner result with them. 3) With regular sticks, you can shift the timber/tone depending on where on the head you strike. With these ones, you are pretty much limited to staying at the center of the drum of you wish to maintain a good usable tone. 4). Though you can do multi-stroke rules, I wouldn't generally advise it as the results sound too weak. Single strokes provide the tone I am looking for. So you'll get very comfortable doing 16th's on singles. 5) To get the best tone, you do need to provide a strong stroke. All in all, they aren't my favorite sticks! But they are my favorite sticks for situations where I need to tame even my controlled playing. In fact, I will be ordering a new pair that way even if one breaks, I'll have more ready. It has become a necessary part of my toolkit.

They work!!! (full drum set noise reduction suggestion)
I set up an acoustic drum set for my son in the basement, and was way too loud for my wife. The sounds reverberated through the whole house. I was desperate to to damper not only the toms, kick and snare but the also the cymbals were killing us. I got a set of Eastrock Drum mute pads https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BBG834QC?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title that included cymbal mutes. They were great for the toms and even the kick but the snare and cymbal dampeners left much to be desired. The cymbal pads made the cymbals sound clanky and totally took the dynamics out of the cymbals. I saw a set of Low Volume Cymbal Pack Mute Cymbal Set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FT13ZMD?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 but was very skeptical for the $60 price. I figured they would sound terrible and damage quickly. To my surprise they sounded great! I prefer them to our Zildjian ZBT set we have. Nice sizzle and dynamics at half the noise level. We also paired them with a set of Adoro Silent Sticks https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094YJ9SCG?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title and we are very pleased. The sticks significantly reduce the sound and have great feel and rebound. As far as the snare goes, my son just covers with a t shirt and with the sticks, it really helps the volume without sacrificing the feel. Still working on this and will update if I find a good solution for the snare. I'm hoping these Sticks will last! I paid about $136 for all three (pad, Mute cymbals and silent sticks) and was money well spent. Get the combo, you won't be disappointed!

They really help with quieter playing.
They feel much different from normal sticks. Both lighter and more flexible. Don't expect to have your normal dexterity and range of techniques with these. Drum tone is thin and weak sounding, but that's the whole point! These are great for getting a sound closer to sticks, with volume closer to brushes. I often use one in my right hand for better cymbal definition, with a brush in my left hand for a better backbeat sound.

Just as advertised. Amazing!
These sticks are amazing. They really do reduce the volume while letting your acoustic drums sound natural. There's only two downsides, you lose the feel of natural wood sticks, and they don't bounce well. Doing a decent buzz roll is unlikely. I feel like it's well worth the trade off, since it allows me to play at a lower volume and avoid using e-drums. I will be buying more of these sticks.

Flimsy and weak
I was really hoping these would work but they are really too flimsy and weak to be usable. They aren't really silent either. Yes they will be quieter than a wood stick but certainly not silent.

They really are quieter
They play mostly like regular sticks but are so much more quiet. The bounce is softer than wood sticks but they give a little bit of a ping sound on contact

Not the same reaction as wooden sticks
They are very lightweight and quiet when striking drums and cymbals. However, they do not "bounce" or react as wooden sticks do. That's a challenge as bouncing tips are part of playing the drums.

Great product Adoro Silent Sticks!
Shipped quickly. Arrived in perfect shape. I like the feel and vibe of the sound of Adoro Silent Sticks. I am gathering tools for a quiet drumset, low volume cymbals, gel pads, brushes, Adoro Silent Sticks, various stick sizes ... Great item for this setup. I haven't gotten low volume drum heads yet, but if you tame the cymbals, you have sort of won the battle. Your milage will vary. Actually, you might be surprised how good an inexpensive low volume cymbal can sound with these sticks. I know drummers and purists will critique it all with lower marks, I totally get it. On the upside, I am very picky and it really sounds fine to me- and you can come away with the feeling as the other players you can have a drummer which is veeery cool and not have to crank up the other instruments to compete with the volume, and can age gracefully with your hearing mostly intact. Singers appreciate not having to crank it up with high db stage volume. Thanks Adoro!

Practicing with silent tools
Though the feeling is different from a wooden drumstick but it is silent and fun to play with these drum sticks. The feeling is different depending how I turn the sticks as the top is also different when turning it.

Un 10
Espectaculares. Buen agarre, rebote similar al de una baqueta normal. Reduce bastante el sonido sobre los pads de mi batería electrónica. Un acierto.

Game-changer.
I don't play hard or heavy, I don't play rock. I play jazz and some funkier groovier styles. So can only comment on how they work in this context. And for this they are utterly superb. I immediately bought another pair just out of fear they may get discontinued. I can finally practise and *know* I'm not bothering anyone instead of *hoping* I'm not and trying to keep it out of my thoughts. I combine these with low volume cymbals (the type with the holes in them) and e-drums (because I could never get on with the e-drum cymbals) and play the e-drums through a small amp turned down very quiet. With these sticks just added this set up allows me to play with unrestrained movement and feel and it produces an overall volume I can barely believe as it's so quiet. Finally technology alone has given me the drum set up I need. I had been thinking of saving up for a soundproof studio in the garden. No need now. I adapted to the slightly different weight and feel almost immediately. Strongly recommend if you do a lot of more intricate, lighter, groovier, funkier, more swinging practise. Possibly useful for other styles too but I can't comment.
