The perfect pet pail
Quality bucket no rusting noted. I got the appropriate size for my dog. It's sturdy and heavy duty. If you use on a wire cage it will handle easily I have a heavy duty cage with tubular bars that is a little to wide for the bucket hinges so I widened them a little and bungee corded the bucket on now it works great you will definitely get your money's worth with this pail.

Perfect!
Perfect size for smaller crates(for my Chihuahua :)) Hangs securely, easy to clean and being stainless steel, it resists rust. Holds plenty of water. Great for spillproof travel, as well. Love it!

Great quality kennel pail. Good value.
I have purchased this pail in two different sizes, to replace lower quality pails in my dog kennels. I like that it is stainless steel, and doesnโt have aluminum rivets, like other little buckets that I have purchased. There is no corrosion to contaminate the water. The hooks, easily, hang on the wire crates, and the buckets donโt get knocked off of the crate. I will continue to purchase these little pails until all of my poor quality pails are replaced. The price is right, for the excellent quality of the pails

Great solution
Super simple, sturdy, and secure. Fits my dogs' crates perfectly, and keeps water from splashing all over the place, no matter how crazy the dogs get. And big enough that I don't have to refill multiple times a day.

Piece broke at top on first use
Overall it serves itโs purpose and is a great product, but the top pieces are not super sturdy and broke off just handling it for the first time

Perfect for my kennels
I bought 2 of the 1qt size and they are perfect for my kennels and fit perfectly. I use them in my home and when Iโm traveling. I have an Impact crate and this sits on the door well (not perfect but my rotti doesnโt knock it off and spill) and I use the second one in my TNC Crate that has the vertical oval slats. The bucket fits perfect on the slats. If you have a dog that spills their water I would recommend investing in some carabiner clips to secure them. The carabiner clips would also be necessary if you have Gunner Kennels as the hooks on the back are spaced far enough apart to hang. I did see reviews regarding rust being present when delivered, I did not run into this issue at all. We have hard water and even now the buckets are holding up very well. They are super easy to clean too! Iโm able to do a quick daily wipe and deep clean (soap and disinfect) once a week, the hair and dirt doesnโt cake on.

durable, easy clean, no rust
I have used these flat sided pails with dual back hooks in my home dog boarding / daycare business for over 3 years and every single one looks great. There are no scratches, rust, or broken / dented parts. They wash clean easily. They tend to get temporary water spots if they are not dried right away after washing them. I use them primarily for water but also use them for food if necessary. I like these as an alternative to a traditional floor bowl as it is much easier for the dogs to step on and flip the floor bowls with their feet accidentally or when wound up. It is far more difficult to flip or spill a pail raised off of the floor. The flat back and hooks on these is genius! Once hung they are quite stable for most dogs, however occasionally I will have an energetic or spiteful dog who accidentally or intentionally knocks it off the crate wall. For these occasions I like to use a double ended bolt snap to connect the handle to a crate bar above the pail. So even if they knock the pail off of the hooked bar it is caught and doesnโt fall by the handle hook above. A slight water mess can be made this way if they are determined but rarely a kibble mess. For sloppy drinkers these pails help contain the mess if they are only filled halfway. Then the water shooting around as they drink hits the sides of the pail and when they are done they have to raise their head out of the pail giving a second or two extra time for the mouth to drain. I have one pail someone gave me for free that does not have the double hooks and is simply hung by clipping the handle to a crate bar. I never use it because it freely swings and easily makes a mess. The double hooks will over time scratch the paint off of the crate bar where it is hung. This is a minor cosmetic problem. The handle is center balanced and makes carrying it a breeze. These are thick and durable, not thin or cheap. I think the price for a multi year indestructible rust proof item is a good deal! I have about 25 of these in 1 quart and 2 quart. I use the one quart for small / medium dogs. I use the two quart for medium / large dogs.

Works Great for Great Danes!
I have two Great Danes and these guys drink, slobber and spill gallons of water daily. I got tired of constantly refilling the standard water bowl and was looking for something bigger. I still use a standard size water bowl inside their kennels to limit how much they drink when confined and less to spill on the bedding. However, I wanted something larger to hang on the outside of the kennel for them to drink from when they are out of the kennel roaming freely about the house. I originally bought the 9 quart size first thinking the bigger the better and less refills. Wrong! I immediately exchanged that size for the 4 quart size - hereโs whyโฆ The 9 quart was just too big hanging on the outside of the kennel and too heavy to carry from the sink when it was time to clean and refill. And as often as their water needs to be cleaned, 9 quarts would be a lot of wasted water. I also didnโt think it was very stable hanging on the kennel with two 150 pound beasties wrestling and bumping into everything in their path - water everywhere! Once the 4 quart size arrived it has been working out great. It hangs fine on the outside of the kennel and so far has been stable while they drink from it and when they bump into the kennel. I have mobility challenges but Iโm able to easily carry the full bucket by the handle from the kitchen sink to the other rooms - itโs actually easier than carrying the standard water bowl that doesnโt have a handle. The 8 inch diameter at the top of the bucket is the same size as the standard bowl we use and is plenty large for my big snouted doggos. My boy Monty likes to submerge his whole nose into the water bucket and blow bubbles - I donโt why but heโs been doing it since he was a baby - anyway he can do that just fine with the 4 quart bucket. And thatโs one of the reasons we go through so much water because after he finishes blowing bubbles and drinking, he just pulls his head out of the water and runs back to playing with his mate leaving a trail of water streaming from his face and mouth all the way to the floor (thus the reason to the towels on the floor) - cute but very messy! The only improvement I would recommend is to make a 3 quart size - basically take the 4 quartโs 8 inch top diameter but make the bucket a smidge shorter. My guys are leaving about 3 inches of water at the bottom and looking at me like โMom time for a refresh!โ. They can reach the bottom if they want but by the time the water level gets that low there is so much slobber, dirt, leaves and other crap thatโs washed out of their mouths that the bucket really does need to be cleaned and water refreshed. Iโm doing a refresh 2-3 times in a 24 hour period now with the bucket instead of 10-12 times with the standard bowls I was using. So overall the 4 quart size is working well for us but a 3 quart would have been perfect as long as the top diameter was the same as the 4 quart. I did think the price was a bit high but so is everything else these days. Hope this review helps someone out there!

Great quality!
I bought the 4 quart bucket. This bucket fits my 42 inch wire crate perfectly, I would say the absolute smallest you could go is a 40 inch, a 36 inch crate would really push it- you might risk spillage if the dog gets up and lifts the bucket off the hooks. Anything smaller I'd recommend the 2 quart. 4 quarts is excessive even for larger dogs- I only fill the bucket 1/3 to 1/2 full of water for my 90 lb boy and it lasts several days. Really recommend using a carabiner clip to hold the bucket by the handle to a higher wire. I do this with mine, and actually the bucket doesn't even rest on the hooks- theres a half centimeter or so gap, but the hooks do provide safety from spillage still. This provides additional security that your dog/other pet won't accidentally spill the contents. My foster boy sleeps every night in his crate, and vet has stressed the importance of keeping him properly hydrated. So, I got this bucket to be able to provide him with fresh water during the night. It has withstood being hosed off and sprayed with disinfectant twice now very well. Very easy to clean! Will definitely be getting more buckets in the future for my other crates!!
