Where is the best place to install this in a 2004 mustang?

Under the seats - I have an extended cab pickup and I put it on the back wall and it sounds great. good sub, 2 months and it hasn't blown yet - sounds good and doesnt get distorted with how I balance the sub power and my eq on the radio and my phone.

Will i need to buy anything else to hook this up to my 2012 impala?

Just the correct tools needed. The remote output from my radio was only 3v. You need at least 4.8v. I had to hook in a separate power switch which wet next to my sub level control anyway. Oh, and make sure you’re grounded the best way possible.
