I love this shampoo, I use the conditioner, too. Makes my hair shiny and I love the scent. I like that it leaves my hair with that "squeaky-clean" feeling, unlike other shampoos that coat my hair, never feeling like it rinses out. Its a little pricey, but worth it to me.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Oh how my hair loves this stuff. I have very damaged, problematic, fine hair. I’ve tried many clean, vegan beauty products that meet my picky ingredient requirements, and this stuff hits perfectly. I wouldn’t say my hair is super shiny, but it’s in the best condition in years!

EDIT: updating my review to one star as the company has changed the formula and it is now HORRIBLE. Evolvh, why mess with a good thing? I’ve tried hundreds of conditioners, and this is hands-down the best. I have dry, curly, frizzy hair that’s also prone to buildup, which makes finding a good conditioner incredibly frustrating. So many products just sit on my hair without ever absorbing. This one actually sinks in. I’ve been using this conditioner for over eight years, and every time I try to branch out and test something new, I’m quickly reminded why I always come back to this. It has a light, natural citrus scent and detangles effortlessly. I use a lot of heat on my hair (I straighten it 3–4 times a week) and color it every couple of months, yet my hair remains healthy, and I truly credit this conditioner. I usually condition once, but when my hair feels extra dry, conditioning twice works perfectly. It’s a bit pricey, but absolutely worth it. If you’re reading this Evolvh, please NEVER stop making this!

I'm in my mid-40s -- and was growing so frustrated with how thin, dull, and lifeless my hair was becoming (pre-menopausal hormonal changes?!) Every shampoo I tried made my hair greasy at the scalp, but dry/brittle at the ends. I tried so many moisturizing, volume boosting formulas, but none were effective. The generic store brands only added a grungy build-up and heaviness to my hair. After trying this shampoo & conditioner duo ONE TIME, I noticed the heavy build-up was gone, my hair was soft, shiny and playful. My husband noticed and complimented on day one. It truly has brought back a healthy, youthful shine I was missing! It has soft citrus tones that smell natural/clean. This stuff is completely worth the extra $$.

This product was recommended in a clean product group I am in, so I decided to give it a try. I have tried a lot of “nontoxic” shampoos and conditioners only to find that their products do not have all the same EWG ratings. A lot of “clean” hair products have heavy fragrance and toxic ingredients in many of their products but get away with this by their name/reputation. I have thick, wavy, dry/coarse hair. I get my hair highlighted every 2-3 months and I use heat for styling every day. I thought these products were too drying at first and only used it every few days. I’m not sure if my hair had to get used to it or I had to remove chemicals from the other shampoos I have used in the past. I really like it now and have been using it every day for the last 6 months or so. It smells great, and I love how clean my hair feels when I get out of the shower. I have only 2 issues: (1) the conditioner is still a little too dry to comb through my hair, so I use a little bit of regular conditioner on my ends and (2) it is very expensive for an EWG rating of 4. I bought the large size bottle to get the most for my money. If I never find anything that works just as well that is cheaper or has a better rating, I will be happy sticking with this brand and never returning to toxic products.

Highly recommend for sensitive skin! Pros: lightweight, moisturizes. smooths, subtle clean fragrance, no coconut or other heavy butters or nut oils, vegan and cruelty-free, silicone-free, rinses well, concentrated -Cons: pricey, goes bad faster than other products so buy a smaller size and use it quickly

Selling old formulas for the same price as the new formulas. The ingredients on the conditioner I received are not the same as the ingredients on their current conditioner from the actual Evolvh website.

I so wanted to love this conditioner (and shampoo). Smells great, leaves my hair feeling silky -- at first. But it quickly goes back to the same old puffy I'm trying to tame. I found other products did a much better job at keeping my hair much smoother, much longer. Sorry, Evolv, you seem like a great company with a good product. It just doesn't work that great for my particular hair.
