I've been looking for an alternative to the discontinued Reach unwaxed unflavored that I used to use...have had no luck getting anything modern that's even close until I tried this...everything else is so thin and shreddy and cheap and have to double-up to get teeth clean. The Gorilla floss is waxed, and I don't like that about it, but otherwise it is very good. It is strong, thick, and cleans well. It does not shred. Overall experience is very similar to the old Reach product...I am comparing them side-by-side.

This is an excellent replacement floss for the old Glide formula. It easily slides between tight contacts as advertised. In about three months of use, I have never had a piece break on me. It is a little "harsher" than old Glide, in that the coefficient of friction is higher and it drags a bit more against your gums. However, I think it cleans better than the PFAS-based Glide and I was able to adjust to this without any bleeding in a few days of use. Piksters has sold this product in Australia and New Zealand for some time; I think they saw an opportunity to make a move on the floss market in the Americas with how unhappy consumers were with Oral-B's decision to replace the Glide formula with their old, terrible Satin Floss product. I would highly suggest buying this - at 240 meters, this will last you a while for a very reasonable price. Alternatively, a "chair-side" option is available in a 150 meter pack, but I have found that the price-per-meter is cheaper with this 4-pack.

I got tired of regular floss breaking and getting stuck between my teeth. This floss is truly unbreakable. It is waxed and goes easily between my teeth. I love it. It is pricey, but one canister should last almost a year.

Strong and thin, perfect!

Used to Love Gore's Glide Floss but in the past years the quality has declined, it is almost guaranteed to shred or break when using. Leaving you with food and shredded floss between your teeth. My hygienist and I bonded over our shared disappointment in the quality of the product. Gorilla floss is my savior, its tough never breaks and is cost effective since I don't have to use excess to accommodate for breakage. My hygienist and Dentist thanked me for turning them on to this product.

Gorilla Floss is the strongest floss ever. It does not break. It does not shred. It does not fray and leave fine shreds of filament stuck between my teeth like other flosses do. Its surface is hard enough to actually clean my teeth, unlike the slippery surface of Glide floss. The only drawback is the dull floss cutter, which makes it very difficult to cut the strong floss. Sometimes, when trying to cut the floss, the top of the dispenser snaps open. See my attached photos. Bottom line: Gorilla Floss is the strongest floss that I have ever used, but the floss cutter is not sharp enough and the dispenser is not sturdy enough for the heavy duty floss. UPDATED REVIEW: After using Piksters Gorilla Floss for 3 months, the dispenser broke. See the attached photo. I like the floss very much, but the floss cutter is not sharp enough to cut the strong floss and the dispenser is inadequate for the amount of pressure needed to tear the floss. My heavy duty scissors can't cut the floss either because the floss fibers spread out and slide between the blades. I have to use my Smith & Wesson high quality knife to do the job!

Very strong. I have bought numerous kinds of floss. They all were breaking and getting stuck in my teeth. Tjos works great.

Strong and consistent, no tearing. High recommendation!

When my dentist recommended this because my floss was breaking, she said this was thicker than normal floss and oh boy, this does not disappoint. Its thick, so thick its thicc. One downside though is it does mean applying a lot more force to get it in and out of the tighter gaps for some teeth but its very effective. Even on the gap that was shredding and breaking my normal floss, it didn't break. Comparison to the standard floss, it doesn't look thicker, but its rounder thick, not flat like standard. Definitely worthwhile if you want something more durable.
