I didn’t and my shelf tilts a bit, but still worked fine. The adhesive is very strong and once placed, it’s not easy to pull up and move. I do not overload the shelf with full size bottles. I use smaller sizes and I have had no issues. I definitely recommend.

I use smaller sizes and I have had no issues. I definitely recommend.
