You made me love you. I didn't want to do it. I REALLY didn't want to do it!
Okay, so, let me get this review started off by saying I hate the way the original crocs look. I know, I know, so do a lot of people, but I really hate the way they look. I have always had large feet for a woman (10/10.5), so I really don’t like shoes that emphasize the fact that I am walking around with feet that could double as water skis at a moment’s notice. As many of you have observed, these shoes are not very good at minimizing the appearance of the size of feet they are on. Okay, so now that I have my fussing out of the way, I love my crocs. To the point where if my house was on fire and I could save one pair of shoes, I would save my crocs. I was first introduced to crocs when I was 20 after I developed an almost crippling case of plantar fasciitis due to working a retail job where I wore heels on hard tiled floor for 10+ hours, 5-6 days a week. I could barely walk without being in excruciating pain. Not fun. I went to see a podiatrist who didn’t do any of the useful things most would have done like offering the night splints or anything like that. He said that I could do a series of injections in my feet, which sounded oh-so appealing, or I could do some stretches, stay off my feet as much as possible, and try wearing crocs whenever I could. I took option b. I started wearing my crocs from the moment that I got up, until I had to go to work, where I now had a doctor’s note saying that I had to have comfortable, flat shoes. I didn’t wear the crocs to work, that would have been pushing it, but I did wear the most comfortable shoes I could without making my department manager’s eye twitch when she looked at them. Then, as soon as I got home, I would take them off, and put my crocs back on. The pain lessened almost immediately, and while it was a combination of keeping off my feet, the stretches, and the crocs, the shoes were definitely the most important factor. They helped so much that I wore them outside of the house while running errands. Within a month, the pain had gone from an all-day, all-consuming factor, to something bothered me for only one hour after waking. After two months, I didn’t even need to wear them anymore, so I stopped. Fast-forward five and a half years and I am pregnant with my first child and the crocs came out yet again. They were my best friends during the second and third trimester and I haven’t put them up since. For some reason, probably partially due to the way I sleep, which allows my muscles in my calves and ankles to tense up really well, I have had a mild problem ever since having my daughter. It isn’t debilitating like the first time, it only hurts for about 10 minutes when I first get up in the morning and I am stretching my muscles out, but I wear my crocs at all times when I am in the house. My husband, whom I met after my first experience with crocs teased me about them quite a lot. He is European and thinks that crocs are some bizarre American fashion statement and had an excellent time laughing at them. But he also has a job where he is on his feet all day, and a month ago he started showing symptoms of plantar fasciitis. I gave him my crocs to wear around the house, remember, I have giant feet, and they went up a size due to my pregnancy to boot (11) , and he has wears a 10.5 in men’s shoes, so while mine were a little tight, they were comfortable enough. He stopped giving me any grief after he spent a few days clomping around the house in my bright purple crocs. After I peeled myself off the floor after a very satisfying guffaw I got him to admit that they were really helping and that he didn’t want to walk around without them anymore. Victory is mine! So, because I wanted me crocs back, guess what he got for Christmas? A lovely pair of plain, black crocs all his own. Now, I’m not a doctor or nurse of any kind, but I can tell that these have really helped my husband and I ease the pain from, and in my earlier case eliminate, a painful condition. Are they pretty? No. Have they worked for us? Yes. I have a pair of size Women's 11 crocs right now and they are perfect for walking around the house, but they are a bit loose, I wouldn't want to try to sprint in them. I have wide feet, and they are perfectly roomy, not tight at all. I bought my husband a Men's size 10, he usually wears a 10.5, and they are a little roomy for him as well, but not to the point where it is an issue. So, judging from my experience, these run a little large and wider than average.

Better than flip flops. The more sophisticated choice. 😁
After all these years, (74) this is the first pair of Croc’s that I’ve ever purchased. I’ve tried plastic type shoes in the past that always made my feet feel too warm and sweaty, so I stayed away from these. But I read an article the other day about how the Croc brand was becoming more popular, given a boost by Covid and so many people working from home or just hanging out at home more and buying them. So I took a chance and ordered these Classic Navy Crocs. When the package arrived, I couldn’t believe how unbelievably light in weight they are. I ordered a size 9 which is pretty much what I wear these days. They looked big and clunky and my toe comes quite a ways from the top, but the fit is actually perfect. I thought they would fall off when I walked, but that is not a problem at all. They stay on whether I flip the strap up, or down around the back of my heels. I have never had them slip off so far. When the strap is down around my heel, it fits loosely, but I have to use my other foot or hand to move it down to remove them. When I put it up over the top, I can slip them on and off easier, but they still don’t come off when I’m walking. Maybe that’s due to the little slightly raised dots all over the inside footbed. Just enough to keep my feet from slipping, but not enough to be uncomfortable. There is only the slightest arch support although I tried a pair of thin shoe pads which gave them some cush, a little support, and are pretty much invisible. But they did make my feet sweat a little due to the slightly snugger fit. Although there isn’t much cush to them, they don’t feel real hard either. We have tile floors throughout most of our downstairs and they aren’t quite as hard as walking on the floor. I slip them on first thing in the morning, so I guess they are comfortable in their own way. I go barefoot indoors most of the summer anyway, so it isn’t really an issue. These are like going barefoot with the advantage of protecting the sole of your foot if you step on prickly things. Or in the dog poop on the sidewalk that you didn’t notice. Speaking of dog poop, tyou can use as much soap and water on these as you want without harming them and they air dry in minutes or dry off with a towel or paper towel instantly. They certainly are ugly looking, but they grow on you. Sort of like a Bulldog or Persian cat. Within a short while you grow to love them. In fact, I bought a second pair of classic light tie dye Crocs which my Amazon driver delivered yesterday. OMG, light, bright and colorful! Just the thing an old hippie like me could fall in love with! Even my husband said he liked them. (Said he didn’t think he would ever wear anything like that, but he commented on them several times throughout the day.) They even make a pair of Jimmy Buffet beach Crocs with lime, umbrella, ice cubes and even the “lost shaker of salt” Jibbitz. Very cool for a Parrothead, but can’t imagine those accessories that look like they could be dog toys staying on the Crocs! I’ve only had these around a week, so I can’t say how long they’ll last, but they feel sturdy and well made in spite of their incredible lightness.

Excellent for everyday wear, lightweight and true to size.
Third pair in 5 years. I will always recommend buying authentic Crocs instead of an off-brand because they do not cause foot pain and they wear well. These are lightweight and definitely fit true to size. However they are worn almost every day so to get a full year or more out of a pair of Crocs through daily wear here in Florida is good. Once they get down to the end of the year they start becoming slippery and caution is issued if they start to wear on the sole. The straps held up well with no cracking or breaking and the color stayed strong and did not fade. Will recommend and order again.

The holes are perfect for letting water out and the fit is true to size. They’re bright white and still look fresh after a few wears. Would I recommend?
