Intense at First, But Totally Worth It!
I was a little shocked the first time I used these Clear Eyes Cooling Eye Drops—right after putting them in, there’s a strong burning sensation that lasts about 10 seconds. It’s definitely noticeable, but not unbearable. However, once that initial burn fades, my eyes feel incredibly refreshed, soothed, and clear. The cooling effect kicks in, and it’s like a reset for dry, tired eyes. If you can handle a brief sting, these drops work wonders. They relieve redness and irritation quickly, making my eyes look and feel great. Just be prepared for that initial “wake-up call”!

They will take the red out and refresh your eyes, but beware of the initial burning effect.
Cooling comfort relief? Well after making your eyes burn, your eyes feel better. I would not recommend these for dry eyes, but they do reduce redness !

Works great but burns at first.
These eye drops work great for my dry, tired eyes, but they sting a little when you first put them in. Worth it though, since the cooling relief lasts for hours.

Altoids for your eyes!!!
These Cooling Comfort eye drops are only one of two eye drops I can use that relieves the redness, swelling and don’t make my eyes feel like I just dropped sand in them. The first initial drop is pretty intense for 2 to 3 seconds. Almost like an Altoids mint when you initially crunch down on one. Then a nice cool feeling settles in washing the redness away. BUT NOW IM HAVING TROUBLE FINDING THEM, WHY???

What you need to know about these awesome eye drops. (Give yourself some time to get used to them!)
I've now used this product for more than two years - having switched over from other "12-hour" variety drops to reduce redness in my eyes, especially upon awakening. The "cooling effect" in this product is caused by one "simple" ingredient - and really nothing more. It's menthol. Why it has never occurred to other manufacturers to use it - is a bit of a mystery. However, this warning. If this is your first time with "menthol" eye drops - it will be a shock. In fact, some users report the sensation is so intense that they can't take it. I wouldn't go that far, but it does feel like your eyes are getting a VERY COLD wash, rinsing any "gunk" accumulated during sleep. Of course, there are competing 12-hour eye drops which remove redness without menthol - but this product has the added effect of giving your eyes a "chilling / cooling" sensation - that feels conducive to reducing the veins visible in the whites of your eyes, e.g., as if a cold towel is being placed over your eyes. The sensation lasts for no more than 10 seconds to me, like a nice shock to go with your coffee in the morning. After the second day, I got used to the "cooling" effect of these drops and was pleased that the main ingredient responsible is naturally occurring, almost homeopathic - instead of yet another chemical to boost the already included vasoconstrictor composition of most redness removing drops. In sum, after about a week, I knew these eye drops would replace all previous brands and types I've used over decades. (I always have at least two boxes in my home - one on my night stand for immediate morning relief - and the other in the communal medicine cabinet.) Other drops remove redness - but they don't feel as powerful - because the sensation of adding coolness to my very warm, blood-shot eyes is immediate, though temporary. Give 'em a try for a couple of days before saying NO.

Burns at first.
Burns at first. Not cools at first. Scared me. It burned different than visine. It burns then got hotter then after like 30 seconds it faded. Thought i was allergic or something. Boyfriend used it. Same thing. But works well as I have dry eye and usually use sustain ultra. But wanted something to help with redness as well. If you can get pass the first part it does work. Just in my case it burned like so different than anything for like 30 seconds. But advertising of it says “ cooling”. For me. Not one thing about it cooling. But does work. So hope this helps you to be prepared for the the burn not the cooling sensation as this says on the bottle. In my case anyways. Light colored eyes, dry eyes, sensitive eyes. So. Hope this helps Oh and about the moisture it’s ok. But again in my eyes sustain ultra doesn’t bother my eyes and it’s just for moisture though but this kind of felt a little dry after the burn stopped. So I would use for redness relief more than dry eye. In my case. I will update review after a few more uses if I can use it.
