Works.
Bought these for work pants while pregnant. They are not elastic so they can get very uncomfortable and after a while do not work. Also wish they had different options for length.

Work fine, but are WIDE compared to picture
These things are well made and perform as advertised. However, they are so wide that they show above my belt. I had to cut the edges down to narrow it so it doesn't show, and that meant cutting off the stitching that held the strip together. So now the structural integrity is compromised, all so that the weird expander isn't visible above my belt.

Metal hook was too wide and did not fit any of my pants.

Works well. Save me from giving away my suit
These items aren't made that well. However it does work and hides behind the belt buckle. It gave me Just enough so my pants fit comfortably. It actually save me from giving away my suit because everything else fits with the exception of the waist from the pants.
