The right part, at the right time. Direct fit!
This is a replacement motor for the 5kcp39hfs277ds, amongst others. GE sold to Genteq, so this is now the OEM replacement part. When I opened the package, my heart sank. It includes directions for a universal reversible/parts truck/4 wire motor, which I could have gotten much cheaper at a local supplier same day. But pulling the motor out, it was actually a real North American made (Mexico) Genteq 3 wire motor with the proper length wires for my application (Bryant package unit, extra long wires). Just universal instructions I guess. It took me 10 minutes to drop it in place and wire it up. I turned on the unit, verified voltages, and measured amperages. 1.4 on L1, 1.2 on L2, 1.15 on cap, which overall seems correct. I cleaned the coils, put a new dual runcap and new fan blades just to make sure I wont be back in there soon for the condenser fan at least.

Easy Fix
This fan motor was ready to go out of the box. Only three wires which I just hooked up where the old ones came off. I want to stress I had never done this before but managed to complete the entire operation in twenty minutes; the fan runs quieter now and the house is nice and cool. For me, it was a great value as I probably saved hundreds of dollars.

Easy swap...
Product came fast and as described. It was an easy swap. Took a total of 15 minutes. Works great and saved me from paying an A/C guy an arm and a leg to replace. They likely would have told me I would have needed a complete new system.

The motor is just as good as the original.
The motor runs quiet and smooth just as it should. The 10uf cap that comes with it seems to be holding up pretty good.
