Review: fantastic book. even if you KNOW DSLR's, you want this book - I am still reading thru it.. it is a MUST read for a camera of the level of quality and complexity of the D7500 while it isnt a straight up Pro level camera, it can certainly act like one, for the most part. There arent a lot of features and abilities lacking in this camera, really, and you need to KNOW those features and abilities, and how to find them, adjust them, tweak them, so you can take FULL advantage of this great camera. David Busch's writing is well thought out, lots of photos and diagrams that point out EXACTLY what he is talking about. only a handful of times am I kind of scratching my head, and its usually because I forgot something from a previous chapter, that already told me where to do " this", or activate "that".. all the abilities and how to make them do what you want the camera to do, are in this book. forget the manual ( if you even got one ). THIS.. is the manual.. there are other books, trimmed down ones, but, i would simply get this one, you wont need any others.. and its actually an enjoyable read, the Author takes you on a guided Tour of the inner workings of the D7500, doesnt talk down to you, assumes you have at least a basic level of camera knowledge ( you shouldnt be using THIS camera as your beginners camera anyway ), and keeps descriptions brief as possible, while explaining things in plenty of detail at the same time. Review: This Book Is A Winner! - I’m not a professional photographer, but I’ve been photographing for 40 years. Since 2006 when I bought my first digital. Having said the above, this is easily one of the best photography books I’ve read. I’ve had a D7500 for a year or so, and I’ve learned more about this camera in the first 33 pages than I thought I’d learn in the entire book. This book is well-written, understandable, and invaluable for D7500 owners.

A well-written, clearly explained manual !
I've had my D 7500 for about a year, and purchased the "Dummies" manual for it, (A very good book) and used it and the factory manual to become fairly well acquainted with my D 7500, but there was always the niggling thought "There's got to be more." In the first two chapters of Busch's book, I discovered how to use the touch screen feature and interpret two menu items regarding the on-board flash, which I had tried to understand, referring to the other two books, but with little success. I had almost figured it out on my own, and Busch's manual removed any doubt. I was right! Well-written, clear, and to the point. It looks like it has about as many pages as the factory manual, which is fine with me. By the time I have finished studying it, I will have learned a lot. Worthwhile, If you want to unlock the mysteries of your D 7500, and he makes recommendations regarding equipment, which may be useful. A worthwhile purchase!

Does a Good Job
It's difficult for me to review this book because I don't have anything to compare it to. It did help me a great deal in learning how to use my Nikon D7500. It also has some good information on using speedlights, both on the camera and as slave units. The book has a few editing mistakes. For example, he makes a comment about which SD card his comment applies to. But the D7500 only has one SD card. The earlier D7000 units had two SD cards - so it's obvious this book is a modification of one of his earlier books. Also, there one place where a paragraph is repeated. Not a real problem but it does indicate a need for better editing. Overall, if you just bought a D7500 and are looking for something better than the Nikon User Guide, I'd recommend this book.

Get the most out of your camera!
This book is critical to understanding the D7500. I read the manual that was included with the camera. It provided clear explanations of how to do things with the camera. This book provides clear explanations of why you do things with your camera. The writing style is straight forward, friendly, and fun to read. You can appreciate his great expertise because he explains everything so simply. He provides enough technical information to help you understand how your camera is working, but not so much that you are bored. The pictures he includes illustrate each explanation. He even provides interesting information from a historical perspective, bridging the gap between film and digital, and dispelling myths about digital photography in general. An experienced photographer can extract useful information and a novice photographer can understand his writing. If you are purchasing an expensive D7500 camera, consider adding this book to your camera gear. You will appreciate your camera more with this author's guidance. It will save you frustrating moments wondering why your camera is doing what it is doing.

D- 7500 manual.
This book out shines the very tiny manual that originally came with the camera. Better figures and photos of all aspects of the camera. Easy to follow.i . just better . It’s just better.

Busch is gifted at organizing and explaining
More frequently than not people who write books attempting to organize and explain thousands of bits of data fall short. Not only are their tomes tedious to follow, but readers ultimately get frustrated, give up, pull out a few tidbits and put the books away forever. This book is different. Kudos to Busch. I see why he is so popular! First, he does not talk down to the reader. Second, he manages to arrange information in a way that can be almost conversationally presented. Third, while that approach might make it impossible to nail down where in the 500 pages you’ll find exactly what you want to know, Busch manages to organize data in topic areas that are intuitive and he seem to anticipate your questions and inquiries. Great explations of complex topics will make them so clear that you will wonder why you didn’t understand in the first place. And no, you don’t have to read the book in order, or even all of it. I suspect almost everyone can find enough to more than make the price of the book worthwhile. I am convinced the book is more than worth its weight in gold. I will keep it on hand as a reference tool. One suggestion for improvement: upgrade the index to be more comprehensive. In summary, you will never regret choosing this book from the gazillion on the same topic. It outshines the masses in almost every way.

Thorough guide to the Nikon D7500
I bought it shortly after I purchased the camera. I used David's initial set up for picture taking and would recommend you do that also. I have since purchased a second D7500 and more lenses. I have mostly used the camera for travel and sometimes I need to refer to this book to find out why my pictures didn't turn out as planned. I managed a camera store in the 1970's and I lived and breathed film photography at that time. I changed to digital in the early 2000's and purchased point and shoot cameras, as well as bridge cameras. I bought a Nikon D80 when they were new. This book is a great companion to the D7500, because there are features in each new camera that you don't appreciate until you have a need for it. This book covers them all. I am a serious photographer for my own pleasure and use Lightroom and Photoshop. I love digital cameras.

If you have just got a D7500 then you NEED this book
It's a clique I know but this really is the manual that should come with the camera. The Nikon manual in the box tells you what all the controls are. This manual tells you what they are, explains what they actually do and how to get the best from them. It's a substantial tome running to 400+ pages but by the end of it you will know this camera inside out. As I have found out in the last six months after upgrading to the D7500, it's a very capable camera but to get the best from it you need to be off AUTO and understanding the controls and taking full advantage of all it has to offer. At £30 it is still good value given the amount of information and detail it contains and I just view it as another must have accessory like a decent strap, bag, filters etc.
