I am impressed with this leash.
I am impressed with this leash. I was worried about it retracting as I had read reviews on other leashes that the ribbon kind have a problem with that but I have had no problems with that at all. I really like it. I do find it hard to use the flashlight in front of me when my dog lags behind, which is most of the time, as the leash doesn't want to extend easily with it bent like that. My dog is a rescue pittie that was previously taught to walk behind and never in front. I end up having the flash light facing down most of the time because of this and have to use another flashlight to light my way. Also it would be great if it was a little brighter. I live in the forest and it gets pitch black out here. These things don't take away from how this product works overall. They are just from my own experience. I did a lot of research before ordering this and I still think this is the best one out of all those similar that I looked into. I highly recommend this product.

Definitely a Mans Leash!
My boyfriend loves this leash, it has a grip wide enough to fit his hands and he loves to detachable flashlight!. It's too big for me, but it works, definitely a sturdy leash and can hold the biggest dogs. We have a shih-tzu, so it's a bit of overkill. But overall good product.

Extra length, extra heavy duty
We love it! Maybe this one won't break like the last 3 or 4. Heavy duty. It is large and a little heavy but I'm a 74 year old weakling and it's OK for me. We like the extra length or she does. She can explore more. The light on top helps me get down the stairs at night and also to make sure I know when she's pottied. I discovered that to stop it without locking, push the stop and release buttons together. Then reel her in. July-it broke after 5 or 6 months. Still better than most. September-the one I got to replace it frayed in about a month. I got another Nasus and added a bungee cord. Sept. '19 update: My third Nasus. It will fray but it still lasts longer than most. About a year this time. I think the bungee cord helps. Except maybe when I have to pull her. Love the 26 '. Will appreciate the light again when DST ends. I'm almost a 76 year old less weakling now. Weight of Nasus is fine. Love the exercise.

No response when I tried to contact seller about issues
I bought this leash about a month ago and loved that is was long and had a flashlight. However, after taking my dog walking a few times the coil inside is not doing so good , the button is getting stuck and the leash ended up starting to fray (like a small tare on the side of the leash). At first it was just a couple strings but it got bigger. Due to the fact that the button kept getting stuck and the recoil wasn’t working right this ended up allowing my dog to get further ahead of me than I would like her to. Sometimes the leash would get stuck, rubbed against and/or wrapped around something This strap is made out of material that is not very wide or thick it makes the strap weak. It looks like the size would be for a small dog. I kept using the leash and I noticed that the small area that had a run in it on the edge stared spreading. Now it’s about 4 inches of the strap tearing. I have tried to contact the seller of this product because it said 30 days and no response. Now I’ve sent another message a little past the 30 days and still no response. I’m my last message I asked about just doing a sizable discount since it’s passed the 30 days now. And still no response!! This alone makes me upset

Great, but kind of annoying
Leash is awesome for the length it offers, and the flashlight as well (doesn't include batteries). The leash doesn't retract fast enough when my dog gets her zoomies which ends up being a tangled dog running at full speed. It also has a weird lock feature. I push down then it will lock, but once I release the button it will stay locked and it takes longer to keep unlocking it vs. The 16ft leash i already have. For saftey purposes I prefer and use my 16ft leash when the dog is in a large open area to play, or swim. This leash I would only use if I didn't have to push the button. May be best suited for smaller dogs vs medium/large.

Poor design in many ways. NOT for small to medium dogs!
This leash says it is for small, medium or large dogs, but it is way too big and heavy for a small or medium dog. My dog is about 20 pounds and the tension is so tight he took several days to get used to the extra pull it took to wander about on it. And the "brake" button goes into lock mode immediately, unlike other leashes that you can press temporarily and release. We thought we would like the extra length, but with that locking brake button, it takes that extra split second to unlock and reel the dog back in if there is another dog approaching, or bike, skateboard or something else he may want to chase! So he almost got run over once already. Also, the photo makes it appear that there is a little tether at the end, but there is not. The entire flat cord rolls up inside. This is important because if I ever happened to drop the leash while the dog is walking out at any length (which I have done with other leashes at times), the leash would become a bullet and would recoil all the way to his neck and could injure him. As other people mentioned, the hook on the bottom is a good idea for hanging poo bags on, but the opening is on the downward side, so the hook becomes useless. We never even put batteries in the flashlight because the leash was so heavy to start with, it wasn't worth it to add more weight. If you have a huge dog, maybe this is the leash for you. But otherwise choose something else.

Great for our Granddog
We became custodians of our Granddog and it had been a LONG time since these two old coots had been in charge of a dog. Because he was very old, his need to relieve himself was frequent. This products was perfect for us on stormy nights or extremely cold nights. We'd fasten the lead to his collar, take him onto the porch and he'd relieve himself in the grass in our front yard as we stood in shelter under our roof. The next morning, or after the heavy rains or snow passed, we'd go out to retrieve the solid waste. When the weather permitted us to actually walk him, the retractable action gave him the opportunity to explore, the light helped us to see where WE were walking and the poop bag clip provided an "extra hand" to carry the bags. The leash is quite sturdy and strong, definitely high quality. The light, despite being used often never flickered, but provided a steady, constant beam. We would definitely buy this product again.

Super Long Retractable Leash- 26 feet is 10 feet longer than the standard
As a trainer I do not recommend a flexible lead for an everyday walking leash but I think they are great for running your pup out to go potty or using while hiking an as a tool for certain behaviors or checking your training. The reason I chose this lead was that it was much longer than the others, it is very durable nylon. It has a flash lite attached to the top as well so that was a bonus. The leash works great & is easy to use. The "break & release" are large enough buttons. Great for big or small dogs.
