Perfect replacement for our UV light system

Awesome low cost replacement for VIQUA or STERILIGHT ballast.
So stupidly I bought a non genuine S36RL tube which as it ends up looking after the fact is not manufactured with the correct pinout. It instantly took out my 20 year old NLA 4 wire BA-ICE-1F ballast. So the replacement 3 wire BA-ICE-S (that probably would have run the generic tube) is $190. Or there is this intriguing guy. Got it, opened it, and it is awesome, a ballast in a little aluminum shell case, with a nice GROUNDED line cord unlike others and nice little headers for connections. Popped off the factory lamp wire that came with it, figured out the connections for the 4 wire VIQUA stepped end connector, cut the old cord off the dead VIQUA, and back together and running in less than 10 minutes. I did tin (solder) the ends of my wires but you probably could get by without doing so if you depressed the releases on insertion. Need a multimeter to pin out your tube, a #1 phillips, wire strippers, soldering iron if you want, and a tiny flat driver to depress the releases. You can actually buy the ballast that is internal to this case (without the case, cord, LED) and it COSTS MORE than this assembly. Will it last, who knows I will buy a spare and risk it. I can buy 5 of them for the price of the OEM.

Replacement for UVAire UV-12 Ballast
ChatGPT made the suggestion I try this as a replacement ballast for my UVAire UV-12 and it's working great. Doesn't fit in the original housing but not a huge issue as I have a shelf beside the handler that this can sit on. Thought I was just dealing with a bad bulb and then a bad replacement bulb but this confirmed that was not the case!

Exact match to the original ballast
Exact match. Just hope it last longer than the original. Rather disappointed that the original went bad in just a year.

Works
Works for my solaxx pool uv light, NOTE: bulb needs to be plugged in to ballast before ballast is plugged in. Ballets will not fire the bulb up other wise

Works
Purchased the entire water treatment system. Had for two years with proper replacement of advised items, the original ballast failed after two years; not sure if that is good or not. We will see how long this one last.
