Amazing product, works as expected!

Used this with a Canon R6 Mark II to record a 3-hour dance recital continuously without a single issue. The camera stayed powered the entire time, and I didn't have to worry about battery swaps during the event. I'm buying a second one this year for my B-cam because the first one has been reliable. If you're recording long performances, recitals, interviews, or other extended events, this has worked well for me. Much cheaper than paying $215 for an official Canon DR-E6P + AC-E6N. I didn't have any overheating issues, but that might be more of a camera thing than a battery one. I shot 4K24p with no issue; 4K60p WOULD cause overheating, (yet again, camera issue, not the product).

This device fits into the battery slot of my Nikon Z6, and powers it on. However, after 30 minutes to one hour, the camera turns off. The battery level usually shows as 3/4, and doesn’t lower, even before it turns off. When it turns off, I can make it work again by turning the camera off, unplugging the power supply from the wall outlet, taking the battery out of the camera (I just unplug the barrel jack connecting the dummy battery to the power supply), waiting a minute, and repeating those steps in reverse. This usually fixes it, but the camera turns off, which isn’t great for timelapses or videos. I can also put a real battery in the camera while waiting for the dummy battery to work again. A genuine Nikon dummy would probably work, although I haven’t tried one because it’s quite expensive.

Bought this to keep my camera powered for long periods of time. Functions perfectly for that purpose. I haven't had any overheating issues using this in my camera. Fits nicely into camera and slides back out easily. Perfect for vodcasting or video calls etc.

The NEEWER dummy battery didn't work in either my Canon 5DS R or Canon 5D Mkll. Amazon replaced the initial battery, after I requested a return, and the replacement did not work either. Both have been returned.

I am an audio guru but am an illiterate video user. I stumble my way through. I did not know that the battery door on a Canon EOS 7D needs to be closed before it will operate with any dummy battery. Thank God for Google. I removed the rubber grommet and ran the cable out of the battery comparment so I could close the door. Bingo, worked great.

Working well and great to have to longer at home video productions. Particularly for actor’s self-tapes.
