I purchased this slinghook right before hunting season this year and put it to work for about 20 days in the elk woods. The idea of this product is awesome. I can’t tell you how many times I had to adjust my rifle sling before purchasing this. This kept my rifle on my shoulder and I never once had to worry about it. I gave the product 4 stars for two reasons. With a heavier pack the plastic part of this digs into your shoulder. It wasn’t awful but you could definitely tell the strap was there over time. The second reason is because of the Velcro. I honestly don’t know how else they could do about it but the strap kept sliding down my shoulder strap and I had to keep sliding it back up into place. Again, neither of these things were a huge deal and I would buy another one. In fact I bought one for a hunting buddy already.

Bought 2. One for me and my hunting buddy. Attaches easy to any pack. Find your sweet spot on your shoulder and bam! strap never slips off and make standing or hiking more comfortable. Both of us thought this was a great addition to the pack.
