I have always been mechanically inclined and enjoy a challenge. That being said I would put this at a skill level of 3+ on a scale of 1 to 5 for most people. If you're like me it might come in more along the line of a 2 or 2+. I do recommend watching any videos you can access and watch someone else's technique before embarking on your adventure.

I swear the camera is clearer than the original one, but I think I might be imagining that. Had to replace the flex cable after ripping it while replacing the battery in my iPhone 7. This was an inexpensive and easy fix for my damaged cable.

My phone didn’t connect to my phone service after installing

Original ribbon ripped when installing new battery, but after installing this camera, phone was stuck in a boot-loop only showing the apple logo and then turning off over and over again. Reading online it says it's because the camera is faulty although every step was followed exactly and was able to install it without any damage. I'll need a new one. This was for my iPhone 7. Not iPhone 7 plus, 7 regular. *Update* bought second one from this vendor and it does exact same thing! Does not work, iphone stuck in boot loop. What a headache!

Got this to replace the front camera because I broke the original ribbon when replacing an iPhone 7 screen. It’s a good quality replacement camera. The picture quality seems to be ok. It’s not as good as original but it’s not off by much. Installation a of the camera itself was very simple. It’s the taking about and reassembling the iPhone that was the annoying part. Not sure how long it will last but we’ll. So far...I’d say it’s definitely worth a try for the price. And take your time with the install. The ribbon on this (and even the original) is thin and can easily rip. You don’t even need a complete tear to render it useless Good Luck!

Accidentally broke the ribbon cable while replacing the front screen, ordered this with hesitation, but it ended up working perfectly until phone was dropped again by sister in-law breaking the new front screen and pretty much damaging the whole phone. So, worth the money and works well, but can't control the user.

Product came fast in nice packaging. Works great. It’s not that easy to install, but that is just the nature of a small electronic device. There is nothing the seller could do to make it easier.

It’s over 2 weeks since I asked for a replacement of this product as it was faulty and there is no word from the supplier. The return process needs some fine tuning.
