Manfrotto 200PL, Quick Release Plate with 1/4 Inch Screw, Compatible with DSLR, Compact System Camera, Mirrorless, Multi-Colour

The Manfrotto PL200 Quick Release (QR) Plate for use with SOME of Manfrotto’s Ball Heads is nicely designed and appears to be very solid and well-made. It functions very well with the Manfrotto XPRO Ball Head (the PL200 version of it), and it clicks very positively and locks very securely into place when attached. Although one QR Plate is normally included when buying a Manfrotto tripod head, having a spare - or even a couple of spares - creates convenience if you often use two camera bodies or use a number of different heavy lenses for example designed for tripod mounting etc. This Manfrotto PL200 QR Plate is not of course compatible with the slightly more universal ‘Arca Swiss QR System’, and it can only be used across Manfrotto’s own Tripod Heads which use the PL200 QR System, however, in many ways it seems a better QR System than Arca Swiss; it’s very secure and perhaps slightly easier to use than Manfrotto’s equivalent Arca Swiss fit QR Plate.

I was looking for a second quick release plate so I could keep one on my camera and one of the tripod collar of a big lens I have. I was looking round for copies, but given how much my camera/lens cost, why scrimp on the only thing that holds it on the tripod and prevents it tumbling to the ground? This is OEM spec and is perfect for the job!

Nice solid metal release plate by Manfrotto. Came in little plastic bag with an addtional clip to fit some camcorder makes and a bigger screw fitting. This fits corectly in my Manfrotto 190 pro4 tripod and the rubber top of the plate, holds the camera in place. This maybe a little more expensive than the 3rd party quick release plates, but it's worth paying a little more considering camera and lenses can cost thosands and the last you want is to have it fall off or break due to a cheaper made attachment.

Great quality as expected from Manfrotto, on the expensive side for what it is, but as I entrust a 2000£+ camera+lense setup to it, I would rather not cut the expense.

Better than the cheap ones but of course that comes at a price!

this is a quick release plate to support a telephoto lens . It works.

I'm literally so happy. I recently sold my old camera and lost my quick release plate. I had a look at other cheaper quick release plates on Amazon and some of them had reviews where people complained that the quick release plate had movement in it. I bought this one as I didn't want to take a chance and I'm really glad that I did. It fits perfectly in my tripod which I love using as it's been with me for ages now.

Excelente produto. Original, medidas exatas e encaixou perfeitamente no meu antigo tripé Bogen-Manfrotto mais de 30 anos! Perfeito!

Muy buen remplazo, ORIGINAL hecho en Italia (eso dice el empaque), a simple vista parece un producto sin marca, no dice Manfrotto, pero el empaque e instructivo SI lo menciona. Al menos se ve mucho mejor que zapata original (del tripié Compact Advance) el cual al tercer uso se salió uno de los pernos. Este se ve mucho más duradero aún y se vea genérico. Vale la pena, sobre todo si cuentas con un tripié como el que menciono que tarde o temprano va a tronar la zapata.
