EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED.

I bought these to go with two books (The pH Miracle by Dr Robert O. Young and Shelley Redmond Young and Acid Alkaline Food Guide: A Quick Reference to Foods and Their pH Levels by Susan Brown) which were presents for a close friend. There were cheaper pH strips available but I wanted some which were able to be used for testing saliva and urine - and would be accurate. The 0.25 and 0.5 increments within the scale aid accuracy. My friend did the tests and these strips appeared to work well and offer reassurance. As they were a gift I was disappointed that the box the strips came in had a sizeable faded dark print/scuff mark in one corner and the cardboard tucked flaps were a bit loose - not the crisp white box I had been expecting (no film outer). It looked like old stock even though within expiry date. I was disappointed it did not look new as it was a gift and a very personal item. I could have saved money buying as new items or other brands which were similar and felt a bit cheated in paying the extra without a good result. It arrived in the same package as the books and on time as I paid for faster delivery and this was the only niggle in an otherwise satisfactory transaction. Perhaps I was just over sensitive as it was a gift and I wanted it to be as perfect as possible. I am thinking of buying the same set for myself and as there are 100 in the box (rather than 60) may choose the same brand but will look for free delivery and look across the marketplace for the best deal from a supplier with a good history. As it is the product inside that matters I will drop just one star - accuracy is important and this brand appears on the websites of many authors and organisations dealing with the alkaline diet.

These test strips were recommended to me by a friend. I have known for some time that I needed to keep my body at a correct alkaline and acid balance and also that it would be a good idea to get some kind of test strips. I’m not a scientist and have never used test strips before so I can’t compare quality or accuracy. So I am going completely on my friends recommendations, which I trust. Anyway, following the simple guidelines; they are very easy to use and to check the acid levels in my body. The results have let me know that I have work to do to get my body to a safer alkaline state. There are enough strips for more than a month’s testing, so it is decent value for money; plus the mini record sheet helps me to track my progress. Once I get used to using them, I’ll see if my wife is interested in it, then use them for my children as well; very good info to know

Entirely satisfactory

I recently tested these strips, as I did not believe that they were accurately reflecting the results I hoped, I used white vinegar, which has a pH of 2.5 to 3 and as you can see from the attached image, the strip does not even go down as far as 4.5, indeed both the top and the bottom of the same colour roughly that of PH6, which makes these utterly worthless. Please do not waste your money.

I bought these to check the PH in both my saliva and urine. They work quite well and fast as I checked them in a very alcaline water (over PH 10) and colours turn blue immediately. I find this colour type tests not easy to distinguish the exact result and one may be in doubt of where his PH stands on the scale shown on the box.

Bought these as wanted to see if my diet was alkaline or too acid. Anyway very simple to use. Reading can be slightly tricky as I sometimes find they are inbetween some measurements but I think thats to be expected, and also sometimes find that the top colour matches one measurement and bottom matches another, so you just have to look and see what colour its sort of mostly matches. But overall I'd say for the price these do give a good reading that is for the most part fine. So I would buy this brand again.
