A good quality, attractive and fun toy
I bought this as a present for my (then) 15 month old daughter. It has been a hit, and is still played with at the 20 month mark. The quality of the toy is excellent, it’s sturdy and also looks lovely on our toy shelf. The rainbow colours are bold but not garish. We have been able to play additional games identifying different colours, so useful for some learning as well. The product is very durable - almost 6 months down the line and following multiple drops, chews and knocks by my toddler, it looks as good as the day it was purchased. The interlocking cog mechanism is smooth and easy for young hands to learn to manoeuvre - it’s great for teaching twisting motions. Each of the cogs are removable (nice and easily for little ones, but not too easily) and the pegs underneath correspond with the cog colours - this allows for a nice matching game. The overall design of a wiggly caterpillar is cute and was enjoyed by my little one.

Colourful, Educational and Excellent Quality - Highly Recommend
I'm really impressed with the quality of this toy, it's really well made, safe and extremely sturdy, it can certainly survive a knock or two and not show any real damage. The finish is top notch! and safe for little hands! Our 20 month old absolutely loves playing with this, it has really helped him learn hand-eye coordination to put the pieces of the caterpillar together and he calls out the colours as he picks up each piece. It's currently one of his favourite toys, he is now practicing the putting the numbers in correct order. Definitely recommend Melissa & Doug wooden toys. Excellent value for money!

Another great product by Melissa & Doug
This is a lovely toy. Brightly coloured and very much stimulating for a toddler. I purchased this for my niece who loves it. The cogs can be interchanged so that they don't have to sit in the same position shown on the photo. Each cog has a colour coded peg underneath, so that it can help a child to learn colours and also where the cogs fit. Certainly another great thought out product by Melissa and Doug.

This was excellent value for money and will last for a long ...
My 13 month old loves this, bright, well made and robust. He enjoys spinning the cogs around and they are chunky enough that he can pick them up without any real trouble. This was excellent value for money and will last for a long time to come.

Educational and fun for babies and young toddlers
Bought for my 1.5 year old son as a Christmas gift. I initially bought it as he loves anything mechanical and things that turn and spin. I found out that it also became really useful as a teaching aid for learning colours. Under each cog is a peg that is colour coded so you can match them up. The toy is mostly made from wood, well made and feels durable.

Nice toy
My 1 year old was instantly interested in this toy and spent several minutes twirling the cogs. It looks nice, is colourful and durable. The cogs match the coloured pegs they sit on which will be useful for colour matching later on. Although my 1 year old can't manage to place the cogs on the pegs at the moment, learning to do this will help develop her fine motor control. This is a really nice toy and I will probably buy it again as a gift for a 1 year old.

Well made colourful learning toy at a great price
Was looking for a solid and colorful numbers toy for my 2 and a half year old who is starting to speak and count. The minute she saw this she wouldn't let go of it. As well as trying to stack the blocks in number order back onto the caterpillar she likes to stack them into a tower. It's really colourful so should be a good tool for learning colours too. Very reasonably priced and I expect it to last a long time.

Lovely educational toy
Bought this for my 18 month old daughter and she loves it. It's a fantastic educational toy that can be used in many ways. We use it for - matching colours, she was unable to do this to start with but quickly learned - improving fine motor skills by fitting the cogs in - counting, she counts as she puts them on It is also very good quality. A wooden board with plastic cogs which is all aesthetically pleasing too. My little one has thrown it about everywhere but it is still in perfect condition.
