Bigjigs Toys Wooden Magnetic Fishing Game Set with Rod

My little boy loved this present! He found it easy to handle and I can see him having to concentrate whilst "fishing" so it's benefiting his fine motor skills whilst he enjoys himself; the design is lovely, it seems fairly sturdy and well made and my son loves the little fishies. The box it comes in is great as it will last as long as the game does. We are going to use it at our circus themed party instead of hook a duck and I'm sure it'll go down a treat!

My brother and I were playing fishing games a lot when we were little so I thought this would be a great gift for my 2-year old son. He instantly loved it and figured out quite quickly what to do. He plays up to 3 games at a time. The game is very sturdy and the colours are great. We also learn the names of the different sea creatures. I also like that the game came in a wooden storage box so we can put everything back there when we are done playing. This is definitely a game I would recommend to everyone.

It's a very good concept, this game teaches many skills, it's fun to play, all the pieces are colourful and well made, good value for money. However, I had to ask for a replacement as the slots in the main four pieces of the 'tank' were not deep enough to hold together steadily, so when I put the tank up it was all wobbly, and a slightest touch would cause it to collapse. I did receive a no-fuss replacement and the 'tank' is more steady but not completely, so you have to be careful not to be rough with it, which is of course difficult if young children are playing. In my opinion, this is an inherent design fault caused by the slots in the wood being too shallow. And that is a great shame because the game is really good and fun. I suppose the price should compensate for it, but on the other hand, why not make a steady toy for a pound or two more?

My grandson loves the little fish bit my finger song so I attempted to buy a fishing game . Have you any idea of the hideous plastic crap that is out there . Well I did find a few fishing games on amazon looked at them, all read reviews pondered, then decided on the big jigs one . I am not disappointed and he loves it , it's really heavy duty too he's quite a robust little boy . We have played together and sometimes the dog joins in ! The rods are sturdy the fish and sea animals are bright all in all it's a great toy well worth that little bit extra .

I purchased this for my 2 year old grandson for Christmas. He really enjoys playing with it. The reason I bought this particular one is it has 2 fishing rods , makes it more fun with 2 playing. Also being wooden it will last for ages. Really well made item, would recommend.

I bought this for my speech and language sessions at school to help with picking words/pictures. I wanted something to make my sessions a bit more fun. Lovely quality and it works really well. I previously had a plastic set which broke so decided to invest in a wooden set that would last. Very happy with my purchase :)

My Grandson really enjoys playing with the fishing game, the only problem is that the surround is very loose fitting and tends to fall apart!

There was a slight delay because of stock sold out but I found the supplier very helpful and very friendly sorting this problem. When the product arrived I could understand why it was sold out I was suprised how well made and colourful it was my two year old attention was soon caught and he loves playing with it specialy as it is a two player game which is also great means I can teach colours and names of the sea creatures which he is now saying. Any negatives you may ask well the only one I can think of it is smaller than I thought it was going to be, but now thinking about it, its a good size for a toddler and not too small for the pieces to be dangerous. I would recomend this great traditional product.

Ich habe das Spiel am Sonntag meinem kleinen 2-jährigem Kumpel geschenkt und er liebt es. Ich habe direkt zwei Stunden nur noch angeln mit ihm gespielt und er spielt es seitdem jeden Tag. Ja, es ist etwas wackelig, aber dadurch zerbricht es auch nicht gleich, wenn es mal kraftvoller weggestoßen wird. Es ist toll wieviel Spaß so einfache Dinge doch noch machen können und es fordert ja auch die Motorik und Konzentration der Kleinen!

il gioco e' davvero bellissimo! mio figlio ci gioca spesso o con noi o anche da solo. facile anche da sistemare ed anche molto resistente essendo di legno.

Me paso un tiempo precioso jugando con mi hijo de 21 meses. Nos encanta el pulpo verde. Magnífico juguete.

It's small but good size for toddler aged. So far the sides are pretty useless my little one just takes it apart so she can get to the fish better. But she loves the coloured fish and the magnetic poles to play with.
