After reading many, many reviews of this - and other, similar products - I decided to purchase the Mastaplasta patch. So delighted that I did! I found it quite stressful to get the colour right, but it turned out that the armchair I was trying to repair that looked dark brown to me, was matched perfectly by the MastaPlasta dark brown patch! Phew! Very easy to apply, very strong and instant adhesive, not at all flimsy. I was patching the front of an armchair leg (shredded by cats) and was easily able to cut to size and then use the remainder for a small side repair. All done and dusted in under five mins. It's not an invisible repair, but it's pretty good and will give the cats a run for their money! Tip: measure the area you need to cover to make sure this patch-size works for you. as different sizes are available. Really, really pleased with the repair I've achieved. Highly recommend this product.

Make sure you order the correct colour, or as close you can get. I was fortunate in that the colour I chose is an exact match to my leather sofa. The product is very flexible and also very durable. The adhesive is strong and makes for an excellent bond. i bought my first patch over a year ago and it still looks great with no apparent wear and tear. It blends seamlessly with the curve of the sofa when you sit on it. 10/10 for this very useful product.

I was sceptical to be honest. But after I'd PROPERLY prepped the affected area and cleaned it down with some Isopropyl and let the are dry off completely, the patch took straight away with no peeling. Fixed a 40x3mm tear in the side of the driver seat on a Virago I'm restoring no problem. Colour and texture match for the usual generic pleather fabric in black is very close, and blends fairly well. Logevity I can't comment on obviously, but the sides and corners so far haven't shown signs of shrinking or peeling.

Absolutely delighted with being able to match my dark brown leather recliner with these patches which covered the tears and scuff marks so easily and quickly. It is as simple to use as "peel off and stick" and remains in place over seams without any curling at the edges. Might be a little more expensive than other brands but is well worth it. Highly recommended. And full marks for not only being British but having the Union Flag on your packaging!

Bought some to repair torn leather areas on a recliner chair used by elderly neighbour. My advice would be to before removing backing paper to show adhesive, definitely try a few times placing the actual patch where you need it as once you remove backing tape from patch it sticks very strongly on contact with surface, and is very difficult to pull back gently to realign position if required!! Patch can if required, be trimmed to size prior to removing backing paper. Gently place patch above required position and peel back paper slowly gradually pull backing paper and press down patch at same time in a slow fluid movement, and gently rub patch with cloth or piece of card to flatten and take any creases or air bubbles out. Best to leave patch for a few hours before using chairs or settees again. Be aware that this is only a PATCH REPAIR and depending on where parches are placed that due to your body movements eg, by sitting or getting up and down or resting your arms on patches etc the patches will move over a period of time and may need replaced. No warranty is offered by company because of this. I contacted MastaPlasta company prior to purchase and they confirmed this This is a natural occurence and remember it is only a repair. Firstly, I was bought a pair of Ugg leather Ascot slippers that have worn through at the heel & toe areas. These slippers are only 18 months old!!! They're not worth anything like the cost £130 !!!! They've never been outdoors, worn in a house that is mostly polished hardwood flooring. Far cheaper slippers have lasted years longer. Anyway, I bought this leather patch to cover the worn areas until they drop to bit's & I don't think that will be long. The colour match was excellent, the adhesion was ok to start with but the edges started to lift after 5/6 weeks. A dab of glue in those areas has successfully held it all in place. The leather patch is excellent quality, but perhaps a little overpriced. The adhesive quality works perfectly on a flat surface, but not so much on curved areas. I've written this 3 months after the repair to give an honest review of performance.

Very easy to use. Great colour match. Great value. Saved the sofa after my idiocy , letting wet hair ruin the leather.
