Stunning Red & White Polka Dot Whistling Kettle. Polkadot

I bought this kettle to replace an old and very small Ikea kettle for use whilst my kitchen was being refitted. It 's easy to fill, I don't burn my fingers when pouring out the hot water to make tea/coffee; and it looks. Most importantly, it works on all types of hob, including my induction hobs, both in the new kitchen and on a small portable Tefal induction hob. It is large capacity, so, when full, does take a bit longer to boil than some smaller kettles, but I can live with that given how much water it holds. The lid fits well; and filling it through the lid rather than through the spout is easy. My only gripe is that the whistle is not that loud, though probably loud enough for most people. Being stainless steel[and it is], it's easy to clean. All in all, a great buy if you want this type of kettle in this colour scheme.

Fab kettle! We've been using a stove top kettle for a couple of years now and honestly don't think I could go back to an electric one. Yes, it takes a little longer to boil than an electric one, but the water is much hotter, and my tea a lot more enjoyable! The kettle itself is very quirky and looks fab on my stove! It doesn't drip when the spout is opened (an annoying problem with my last kettle), and the bonus of having the lever to open and close the spout has led to less steam burns! If you're after a quirky kettle which is different from the rest then go for this one!

How could you not love this product? Don't be put off by the relatively low price, the kettle is very well made and a very easy to use. What I really like is that there is a trigger to open the spout and a button to close it! It means that you can leave the spout open ( no whistle ) if you prefer. What a good idea! The handle remains a comfortable warm in use. The whistle on mine is a bit quiet. You can comfortably hear it in the next room, but you can't hear it upstairs or in the garden, unlike some, which rival the QE2. It's also a pretty big kettle, bigger, I think, than it looks in the picture. All in all it's a lovely, bright kettle that's lots of fun. The only reason I have taken off one star is the whistle may not be loud enough for you. If you can't hear it boil then you may well forget it's even on, and that could end in disaster. Really the whistle should be louder.

Is a thick kettle so boil time is a little longer, quality is excellent. The handle can get warm but you can still pick it up.

The kettle is a kettle to be fair and in terms of boiling water it’s fine. However the enamel on the kettle has almost completely blackened and the lovely red with white spots is now not there. Shame because o bought this for my red kitchen..

The kettle I received is damaged. The enamel surface has many scratch marks. Some marks have been crudely painted over in unmatching paint in order to disguise the damage. The kettle looks like form a horror movie. The seller is refusing to provide pre-paid return shipping and is nonresponsive to my emails and I had to open an A to Z claim with Amazon. It's an extremely lengthy process to return this damaged item and get my money back. It is a terrible product, terrible communication with the seller.

Lovely kettle, boils well, handle stays cool to the touch and nice clear, loud whistle.
