I did not use it on carpet. I used it to take stains out of clothes.

This stuff removes a lot of stains, but turmeric is a very tough one...turmeric stains plastic spoons and plastic bowls in just one contact with it, so I wouldn't get my hopes up that this will remove turmeric.
