I am so incredibly impressed with this FrogTape surface protection tape. I used it to mask off the edges during a recent decorating project, and it is easily the best painter's tape I’ve ever used. Unlike standard masking tapes that let paint bleed underneath, this stuff works beautifully. The PaintBlock technology genuinely creates a flawless barrier, and when I peeled the tape away, it left perfectly crisp, sharp lines with absolutely zero bleed-through. It stuck firmly to the surface without lifting while I was working, yet it peeled off effortlessly afterward without pulling up any of the existing paint underneath. I used this to mask off trim on skirting and door frames when painting a bedroom with Dulux matt emulsion (we weren’t painting the trim). All one colour. I have to say I was a bit anxious because of other reviews saying that it takes paint off but this worked very well. I’ve used several different types/brands of tape and this is the best one I’ve found by a street. I wasn’t blown away by razor-sharp lines but they were still very good and absolutely no paint came off when removing. One reason I decided to use this stuff is that I have recently had to caulk inside edges of windowsills (new build…) where they cracked and the tape I used took paint off the sill. This didn’t. We also used the orange variant on a fitted wardrobe and that was arguably an even crisper line. Don’t be put off by some of the bad reviews. The key seems to be to apply it as specified on the box, push it down hard, run a damp cloth etc around it and remove it slowly when paint is still wet. I imagine if you just tear it off it would take paint with it but I did it slowly at a 45 degree angle and had no problems. Also, I removed within about 5-10 minutes of finishing the paint job so it was still wet.

Only masking tape I use. Never pulls paint off the surface. Easy to use, nice and wide so prevents painting the wrong wall. Bleed resistance is really good I can sometimes leak but I think that’s more down to my application than the actual product.

All good, easy to use. I removed it very quickly it didn't lift the new paint underneath which I was concerned about, so happy to spend a little more for this product

I bought this as it's designed for delicate surfaces so presumably less sticky. However, it's not sticky enough to stick and so paint seeped under it in places making it actually no that useful. I think I should have just stuck to the green one. However it did work on 90% of the sections but I did have to paint and cover up bits of it.

Finally a tape to use on artistic endeavors that actually does peel off and doesnt damage what is underneath

Das Band wurde von mir zweckentfremdet. Die zwei furnierten Seitenteile eines Regals passten nicht mehr über die neuen Sockelleisten. Das FROGTAPE sollte verhindern, dass das Furnier ausreißt. Auf das beidseitig aufgeklebte Tape wurde mit Hilfe einer Schablone die Abmessung des Ausschnitts übertragen und angezeichnet. Mit einer Stichsäge wurden die Auschnitte ca. 65x14mm in die 34 mm dicken Bretter gesägt. An der Ecke wurde mit 5 mm Durchmesser vorgebohrt als Auslaufzone für das Sägeblatt. Das Ergebnis übertraf meine Erwartungen. Das FROGTAPE ließ sich sehr leicht abziehen und das Furnier war ausrißfrei. Fazit das teure Band hat sich gelohnt. ;-) Habe jetzt 40 m übrig ;-)

I was wondering if this was as good as the hype and I have to admit whilst it's a bit expensive it does a great job.
