STANLEY Essential Rolling Workshop Toolbox, 3-in1 Stackable Units, Portable Tool Solution, STST1-80151

Having kept various tools and pieces of DIY equipment scattered in various boxes and cupboards around the home, it was good to at last bring them all together in one place by using this excellent and good value Stanley branded toolbox. I have a bit of a lack of storage space in my house, no garden to speak of and no shed so I have found this large capacity toolbox made of sturdy plastic perfect for my needs. As well as having enough space for all of the usual tools and various other DIY supplies, it stacks well and fits very nicely in my understairs cupboard. The unit has three tiers; two deep boxes which are excellent for accommodating power tools (including their batteries and chargers) and other larger items and a middle tray that can hold other tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, spanners and so on. The three boxes are held together by good quality plastic latches and the lid of the top box has decent metal latches; these all feel robust and snap into place in a satisfying way. There are also a couple of flip top compartments on top of the toolbox which you can fit smaller tools or fixings in. Once everything is stowed nicely in the toolbox, it can be pretty heavy but the extendable handle and large, robust wheels make it easy to manoeuvre your equipment about. The top box has a padlock loop built in which could deter casual theft but perhaps not anything more serious. The bottom two tiers have no such security measure but to be honest, I’m not that convinced that locks on these types of toolboxes are really that effective anyway. I’m not personally bothered about the security of this product as I keep it indoors anyway but if you need a secure setup for your toolkit perhaps another product might suit you better. I would also say that while this toolbox is solid enough for use in and around the home, again, for professional use a heavier duty option might be better. Overall, I’m really pleased with this product. It is a pretty robust toolbox with plenty of space, is portable and is a good price for the quality.

I seem to have accumulated a lot of tools and needed some extra storage. I had set my mind to buy a portable stacking system and this rig caught my eye. They are reasonably well made for a mass produced plastic product. When stacked they have gaps between the layers at the sides which may be an issue for in-shed storage but not for me. For the price I don't think you can quibble and if you need pro level tradesmen tool chests, expect to pay a lot more. If you have collected quite a few tools and want to have a system that isn't a single box of everything crammed altogether, for occasional use then this is your calling. The clips work just as well as any other similar system I've used. The wheels and handle the same. The ability to hide the expensive tool you bought is possible. Cons: The useful portable tray where you would keep frequently used light tools is the middle section so essentially you have to completely disassemble the whole stack just to carry the tray with your screw drivers etc. but other than that no other real challenges. It's a bit smaller than expected, but more a deficiency on my enthusiasm to use a tape measure to understand how big it really is more than anything else but it's not tiny and can hold a lot. For the price I was happy with the product and can recommend for a DIY enthusiast and also for a tradesperson who has a lot of gear to manage and move. but is not expecting pro level gear.

The STANLEY Essential Rolling Workshop is a brilliant storage solution for anyone who needs to keep tools organised and portable. The 3-in-1 stackable design is very practical – the top box is perfect for smaller hand tools and bits, the middle section holds medium-sized tools, and the large bottom bin has plenty of space for bulkier items. The build quality feels solid and durable, and the rolling wheels make it easy to move around even when loaded. The telescopic handle is strong and locks firmly in place, so no wobbling when pulling it along. It’s lightweight compared to a full metal toolbox, yet sturdy enough for everyday DIY or trade use. For the price, this is excellent value – highly recommend for anyone who needs a portable, all-in-one tool storage option.

I've manged to fit so much stuff in this box...2 impact drivers and two drill/drivers along with 3 chargers in the base, the middle tool tray has all my wrenches, sockets, hammers, spanners, screwdrivers, torque wrench etc and in the top there's a rotary drill, small car battery charger, cased gas soldering iron, drill bits, a box of sanding discs and so on. The little sections on either side of the top box has space for odd bits and pieces. It's heavy obviously so being able to wheel it around is handy. Somebody complained about it being impossible to use like a trolley, I suspect they put the top section on back to front and/or maybe didn't lock the handle in place?! If you get it the right way round and ensure the larger of the two handles is locked with the smaller carry handle it works perfectly well. It might be a struggle if you're very tall but for the average height person it's fine. A worthwhile space saving and convenient purchase for me that appears plenty strong enough.

Great solution for the diyer, i suppose professionals could use it, but i think theyd be replacing it after a year or two daily use.

Der Werkzeugkoffer überzeugt mich absolut. Viel Platz, einfache und solide Handhabung, gute und stabile Verarbeitung und ein ordentlicher Preis. Gefällt mir sehr vom Platzvolumen, passt echt viel rein in die 3 Teile. Die Rollen sind groß und robust. Die beiden Griffe sind ok und gut verarbeitet. Der Tragegriff ist stabil und lang. Echte Mängel habe ich bis jetzt nicht bemerkt. Hoffe, er hält eine Weile. Ist empfehlenswert.
