Round Microwave Container | 1.3 L | Food Steamer Container with Steam Release Vent | BPA-Free | Red | 1 Count

I bought one of these about a year ago and it was a great, quality item (I still have it and I expect it to last many more years). However, my recent second purchase found that they seem to have changed the clip strength. They are now so tight, that even with the large Systema clips, I find it impossible to open and get into. Maybe if you stuck it under your arm lost a couple of nails off your fingers, but what good is that if you have food inside it, you'll just end up chucking everywhere. Shame, it was perfect, but now utterly pointless and not fit for purpose.

Whilst the product is sturdy and well made the problem is the lid retaining clips are so stiff the opening them when coming out the microwave is a major headache especially whilst hot - I have a strong grip but this beat me - as used unable to send back - I thought after several uses it would become easier but it hasn't so disappointing

I use a fair bit of Sistema microwave stuff in a year in which I've had to feed myself without a cooker (don't ask!). Their range is generally useful and sturdy. Not this - both useless and both too sturdy and yet not sturdy enough. Two problems here: 1. The clips which really are very hard to open and close. They are the standard large ones used by Sistema but the curve of the dish means that they are awful here, when they work quite well on other bowls with more shallow curves (their almost square dish of similar size which I also have 1106ZS - has no such issues - search for it on Amazon). I found it easier to use two to fix it with a third to hold it steady. Partly this was also of necessity as the other flew out of my hand! 2. The red seal between the bowl and its cover. It comes off, flaps about and it's often unclear which way up the seal fits. This when all is hot. And while grappling with the clips. It's difficult to fathom why. Their soup mugs (smaller and larger), their porridge and noodle bowls, all cope with seals and are circular. They could use similar clips on this and fix the seal. Or larger custom clips as on the 1106ZS. So why don't they? It's as if the designers never use their products. Binned most of this now. The bowl will stand under something somewhere, I'm sure, but the rest increases unnecessary plastic landfill, to both my and Sistema's shame. If you want a microwave steamer, try the other one mentioned here, or another brand, or a glass casserole. But avoid this. One last point, please Sistema, consider making mictowave vessels that are stackable. Please!

I’m a huge fan of Sistema products, but this is not up to their usual standards. Not only does the rubber seal come off frequently (merely an annoyance) but after a few months of use the lid becomes out of shape and thus you can’t close it, rendering the product useless. I have had 3 of these and the exact same problem has occurred each time. I love the shape and dimensions but I just wish it was made to their usual high standards. Sort it out please, Sistema!

So i got my microwave bowl from Amazon today and tried cooking bacon in it adding water to the bottom as advised in one of the reviews , it melted and is now going in the bin , don't know whether it was the microwave , the bowl or the bacon , whatever it was i've now got a nice lid and a lesson of some sort learned , oven is fine , i'm fine it's a thing not a person i'll survive , annoying though ! , NIce looking bowl , solid lid , can't say much more , didn't work for me !

Sorry I hate this. Sistema is my go to as I have problems as I drop everything ALL MY OTHER SISTEMA ITEMS are wonderful and I highly recommend everything else they do in the way of microwave products. This however does not seal. Is impossible to operate the clips and unlike The flat square plate with sealable lid that they do.... It is a nightmare to handle while hot. In principle it is a very good idea being a lovey size . Shame it doesn't translate into a useable sealable dish. those clips are impossible.

After only 2 or 3 uses the lid for this container has lost it's shape and the seal has buckled meaning it will no longer close. Unfortunately my return window had closed and so I'm going to have to contact the manufacturer instead. My advice would be to avoid this one altogether, my other Systema containers are all fine but this one's a dud.

If you have arthritic hands DO NOT PURCHASE..............I wish I had read all reviews.. The lid is just the worst design ever. My fault I bought cheap, and have paid the price. I have just had to prise the lid off with a flat butter knife. Goodness knows what its like when its got hot food in it. I only received this today, but already the lid is in the recycling bin and the bottom dish filled with wild bird food for the garden ( lets hope the birds like RED)

We recently came across the Sistema microwave cookware and ordered four versions of it. It is everything we'd hoped for. Easy to clean, designed for the microwave, adjustable vent, secure lid, etc. This version is great for reheating a dinner or anything which fits. It is not very tall which means you can eat right out of it if you want. Other models are bigger or smaller, some for steaming, cooking rice, etc. All that we have tried are excellent.

Compré este plato porque por cuestión de tiempo solo puedo cocinar una vez por semana. Solo agrego arroz y el guisado al plato, lo meto al micro un minuto y medio y voila! la comida esta lista. Solo le agrego verduras cocidas o crudas (previamente desinfectadas, claro) y tengo un bowl saludable y completo. Muy contento con la practicidad del artículo. Nota: Como alguien mas posteó anteriormente, debo decir que cuando se lava, el plato se ralla de donde se pasa la esponja. No se nota mucho, pero creo que este dato puede ser de utilidad para algún posible comprador.
