Why does My energiser have a very loud audible click when working

That's how you know it's working!!..when the clicking stops your battery is dead lol

How long would a 12v battery last with it running 24hrs?

Well, it of course depends on how big (the capacity) of the battery is - and what sort of condition it's in !! It also depends on whether the fence is completely isolated from ground. I would expect a decent battery to last a couple if weeks.

My paddock stock fencing is about 600m but with parts of the fence with vegetation such as brambles, running through it. Will this still work?

as with all electric fencing it’s important to keep the fence clear of vegetation, as any vegetation touching the fence will short the current to earth. Some very powerful units will have enough power to still give a shock even with vegetation on the line but not small units like this one, still a great little fencer though!
