I was a little worried switching over from my 7.1 USB surround sound headphones but once I got these I fell in love immediately. To start they came in a nice sleek Box that looked well made and clean haha even though its just cardboard it looked nice I dont want to throw it away. In the Box were the Headphones in a carrying case that looked really nice and was sturdy. It will protect the headphones very well when traveling ect. Once I actually opened the case and took the headphones out I could immediately see the quality of materials and the well thought design. I got the Gaming Zero black and red edition. I gotta say they look really nice not too big not too small. They are very comfortable to wear for hours at a time. The Mic sounds great as well. Excellent quality for headphone mic. One of the big reasons I got them because of their durability. My friend had these headphones and he was showing me how strong they were. He grabbed the earmuffs and twisted them in opposite directions very far and it didn't even looked strained. One of my older pairs of headphones broke at the spot where the headband connects with the Ear Pads and the ones I bought after that felt very fragile I was careful not to grab the headphones by the ear pads and pull them apart just in case they broke at the same spot. But with these there is literally no worry of that at all. Honestly to break these it seems like you would have to intentionally try to break them. But last and most importantly.. The sounds... These things are amazing! The sound truly is very crisp and clear. But I do want to add DONT BUY THESE HEADPHONES WITHOUT AN AMP. Now of course you can and they will still be far better than your old headphones but they will not even come close to the potential they have. Since they are only 150$ now I said what the heck and bought the amp as well which was around 150$ JDS Labs Objective2. Lets just say my buddy that had these headphones for over a year without an amp got super jealous lol. But really these things can seriously crank out some loud Bass. They hit very low Bass and sound really good. I actually get the feeling of my ears tickling a little bit when wearing these haha plus they dont sound like they are about to blow. They remind you of being in a car with subs!.So with the amp and headphone combo that I got for the same price as these headphone used to be it is 100% worth it not even a penny wasted. I am considering buying a backup pair just in case the price bumps up or something like that happens. This is one of those buys that you will actually be happy with the price you paid and feel like it was a great deal. If you need headphones just buy these I guarantee you wont be disappointed. Sound quality is still great, and the mic works like when it was new. After thousands of times flipping mic up it’s never broke on me yet. The only thing I needed to replace were the ear muffs because of the leather getting worn out from A LOT of use. If these ever break I’m going to but this same pair. Especially now that’s it’s 100$ cheaper! I have brought these headphones all over the country and they are still going strong!

Before anything, I'd like to point out this is my first real headset that costed me more than $100, which I bought along with my gaming rig. The sound is flat and neutral, which is perfect in my case because I'm the type to take time on fine-tuning my equalizer according to my taste. I usually have mine set at a "W" pattern, with little modifications here and there depending on what I feel I should hear. I enjoyed my gaming sessions very much because of the way this headset fit around my ear; it is snuggly. From time to time, I do feel the need to introduce new air in for the fact that it is a closed back type headphones. The fact didn't matter to me because I'm the type to take quick breaks here and there anyway. Not a deal breaker. The microphone on this excellent; probably the best I've heard from my friends by the way they describe it as clean and not hearing my window AC running in the background. The mic's arm is flexible, so I can adjust it to how close/far I want it from my mouth. I found it bad to bring it too close to your nose though. During my quick breaks, I found the mute function when the mic boom is brought up very convenient. Being able to quickly mute yourself from a chat group is amazing. As for the volume control located on the left ear cup, I'll get back on that later on. If I'm not playing games, I'm listening to music. I listen mainly to acoustic, rock, metal, and alternative. As I said earlier, these headphones are flat/neutral. I don't consider myself an audiophile, but I do appreciate good music. Along with my gaming rig, I also purchased a sound card, a Sound Blaster Z. I wanted this particular sound card because it can drive headset's impedance rating. The sound card comes along with a software that allows me to modify with their 10 band EQ. One of the challenges I've experienced with these headphones was the head and ear cushions eventually fell apart. It fell apart after using it at least 4-5 days every week for 3 years. The 'leather' were slowly chipping away. It may have been my fault for always sweating on them, so someone else's mileage may vary. I replaced my cushions, by ordering here. Like new again. :) When I do use the headset, I always set my volume rocker control to max. If I need to change volume, I use the music players' control. Reason being is that, I found out that if you max the players' control and control the volume with the headset's rocker, when your music peaks to a higher volume than usual, the sound will dip a bit. I believe when that happens, the headset doesn't get enough power from the rig. That is why I max the volume on the headset -- I allow the headset to pull as much power from the sound card so the sound doesn't dip when the music peaks. This is something I realized from playing around with the headset when I thought it was defective. To simplify, maxing the headset's volume and control the volume from your music player will allow the headset to pull as much power as it needs to prevent the sound from dipping during peak. You need a sound card for this. I would suggest the same sound card I have purchased because the software that comes along with it has great EQ and microphone sound isolation/cancellation. Just something to note about the mic sound isolation -- turning the settings on will delay your voice delivery a bit due to post-processing. But as long as you don't plan on monitoring your own voice, it shouldn't be an issue. Overall, as long as you have the proper sound card to drive this headset, you will love the experience. I've had this for years now and I still love the way it pulls me in to the experience.

So I decided to update my review for the Sennheiser Game Zero which has officially become one of my favorite headsets (along with the Sennheiser GSP 300). In my original review I gave it a 3 star rating claiming that the audio was flat and that the price tag was too steep. Well, things have changed and hopefully this updated review can guide my fellow gamers. So in my original review I had major grievances with both the price and with the sound quality of the Game Zeros and after trying about 10 other gaming headsets I came to the conclusion that there was an issue with my sound card which turned out to be an out of date audio driver- oops! With the price, in my original review I said that the Game Zero would be a great headset it was $50 less- well they are now over $50 less here on Amazon which is awesome!! With all of this in mind, I have since decided to update my review, something that I have been meaning to do for quite a lot time. So let's get something out of the way: Sennheiser hands down makes the best gaming headsets in the world and the Game Zero even to this day is one of the company's best offerings. It's great for either listening to music or gaming and the base is subtle unlike other gaming headsets (most gaming headsets have an over exaggerated base that gets muddy at higher levels). The Game Zero's microphone technology just can't be beat and in this regard Sennheiser is ahead of every gaming headset manufacturer on the planet (though SteelSeries has definitely been making some strides in this department, especially with their latest offerings). The microphone is so good that you can easily use it for streaming YouTube or Twitch videos. The comfort level of this headset is superb, even more so then the already comfortable Game One headset and it is so light that I often forget that it is on my head!. Also, since these are a closed acoustic design they not only cancel out outside noise, but they also deter audio leaking which is the Achilles heel of the Game Ones. You can literally wear these for hours, but the only real con is that your ears may get a bit warm due to the ear cup material, but this is by no means a deal breaker. This headset sports a lengthy braided cord that is completely detachable, but the cord is prone to tangling so only use the length that you need. In addition, it comes with a great carrying case and unlike it's Game One brother, the Game Zeros completely fold up for ultimate portability. For a closed back design it offers a pretty good sound stage and most of the time it sounds pretty good by itself, however, I feel like it really shines when connected to an amp or sound card. These are great headphones if you work from a bit of a noisy home or office and have put up with bad headsets long enough. I am a busy dad who works in a home office. We have kids playing and yelling, practicing piano, running in and out of the house. After using the very lightweight and cool Plantronics Encore H101N for a decade, I decided I wanted something better for listen to music and edit audio and video while cutting down on the household background noise. These headphones have been perfect for that. It's also hand to flip up my mic to auto-mute it when my wife or kid come in to talk to me, they can also tell when it's up that it's safe to talk. It makes sneaking in lunch while listening to a boring conference call easier and safer - no more questioning whether my mute is on or not. I may go back and use my Plantronics during warmer weather, but fall, fall, and spring will find me wearing my GAME ZEROs. I bought these and the GAME ONEs to compare them and ended up keeping these GAME ZEROs. I'll admit the GO open back headphones sound a bit better, especially with the the Dolby 7.1 enabled through the USB dongle, but that dongle is available for purchase seperately. Sound stage is on the GAME ONEs is amazing, but these are pretty good. I'm not a heavy gamer but I'm happy in these. If I was a fanatic and had a smaller head, I'd keep the GOs. My wife likes the GOs as they are cooler and she can hear what the kids are up to better than the isolation of the GAME ZEROs when shes working. My ears get a little warm in the GZs, but I just turn down the heat 2 degrees and I'm fine. Works great in winter. The mic is great for Skype or other voice calling, and I am on monsterously long VOIP calls - sometimes 6-8 hours. The GAME ZEROS are never uncomfortable even for that length of time. I recommend a small phone wind screen over the microphone to cut down on popping noises from splosives. I really appreciate a removable cable that enables me to listen to my iOS devices.. it works great. It's missing the 3-button control, but it does have a volume dial on the right ear cup and also the flip up mic mute. I can live with that. These are better than the GOs for larger dad-size heads, or if you just like super comfy cans. The GOs cause head pain after wearing for 1-2 hours. I do prefer the velour ear cup fabric over the hotter 'leather' of the GZ, but Sennheiser tech support explained the 'leather' is necessary for sound isolation. I agree with this. If you really want the velour cups you can order them seperately as they're interchangeable between models.. The auto-mute when you flip up the mic is perfect for long conference calls when you need to be sure the mic is off to talk to someone in the room with you or eat lunch. No more wondering if the mute is really on. The noise cancelling feature works fine, minimizing background sounds, but not eliminating them completely. I bought these as the same time as the GAME ZEROs and decided to keep the them and return GAME ONEs for the following reasons: 1 - The GZs fold flat 2 - The GZs have removable cable, including a shorter IOS compatible cable 3 - The GZ ear cups are bigger. Yuge! They feel like Cadillacs on your head. Heavenly. The GZs are more comfortable overall, except for heat. 4 - Closed backs. Audio is actually better on the GO, but I can do with a little less spacial fidelity when I need to get work done or listen to a conference call while my daughter practices piano in the adjacent room. I'm a busy dad who works remotely from home. If you have a fully size manly head and can turn the heat down a little so your ears don't overhead and work in a busier home or office, go with the GAME ZEROs. If you're wondering if $200 is too much for a good headset, wonder no more. It is. You deserve them. It's a small favor you deserve for being chained to a desk all day. The only other headset that is more comfortable is the Bose QC-25. That's mainly because they are lighter and have better digital audio processing. But they cost $100 more, require a batter to get the better sound, and frankly the Sennheiser mic is better due to its position, size, and noise cancelling design. If you want' super lightweight and need noise cancellation, get the Bose. If you can live with the slightly more weight, better mic, and sure muting, get the Sennheiser Game Zero.

Preface... I'm a HUGE HyperX headset fan (the sound is phenomenal and they are a standard in gaming) and for the price their great. I used them for several years, until one day I walked away with them on my head and ripped the cable out of the headset. After taking them apart and soldering the sound was never quite right again. -Time for a new headset. And after looking at a lot of youtube reviews the G4ME 1 by Sennheiser was overwhelmingly set as the gold standard for gaming. A little more expensive but Sennheiser's drivers (speakers) have a solid reputation. PRO's: SOUND QUALITY, SOUND RESOLUTION and DEFINITION (and yes - BASS!). I could hear nuance I didn't hear deep in the mid's I was missing before, these aren't just gaming headphone's. Put some 24 bit 96KHz high definition classical pieces on them and the staging blew my best BOSE headphones out of the water. (I'm a BOSE fanboy but credit due where it's due). I'm powering these headphones with a SOUND BLASTER G6 and did compare it against an ASUS STRIX SOAR sound card, the G6 was just as powerful but had warmer overtones and better rolloff so I stuck with it. Bottom line the sound quality is tight with deep staging resolution and no overwhelming bass (unless you want it). Very well balanced. While gaming bullets and footsteps were crystal clear, loud but sharp while staying defined. Mechanically the drivers are mounted with an aluminum swivel (no plastic) to the headband which is also I believe aluminum wrapped in plastic with a faux leather band to rest on your head. Their not heavy but not weightless. I'd only wish they pressed against my head a little harder but everyone's a little different. CONS: The only cons are really basic. First: don't use these with a built in sound card. Your wasting your money. Your built in sound cards (unless its high end) won't drive these 150 Ohm headphones to their potential. Your not going to get the deep bass out of them they need. Get a sound card period. Their cheap anyway and will do wonders. The G4ME 1's are HIGH IMPEDENCE headphones - period (better sound quality but needs more wattage). Second con is the volume dial on the Right headphone. The first few days I had them I couldn't figoure out why my sound was so low and thought my Sound Blaster G6 was not powerful enough, nope. I bumped the dial putting it on not realizing this, but the dial is kinda nice so its not a real negative. Conclusion: I would buy these again in a heartbeat! Hand's down the best gaming headphones I've ever used.

When the pandemic hit I found myself in a constant cycle of zoom meetings. " What? I think you're on mute. I can't hear you. Can you repeat that?" I think these phrases were used more than actual discussion, it was frustrating. I needed a set of headphones that I could wear for hours on end that would be comfortable and have a great mic. I tried a couple different brands that were built specifically for professional meetings but they sucked. They hurt my head and the mic sounded like a 50's drive through. One day I heard my teenage son laughing and talking with his friends. I looked in on him and he was gaming. Ahhh! yes, get gaming headphones, that makes so much sense. I tried a couple but they were uncomfortable because I have a giant head. Finally I found these SENNHEISER headphones, they work perfectly. First they fit my giant head comfortably, I can sit and listen to people drone on for hours while trying to look like I'm paying attention. Second, the mic is great, I don't get the constant request to repeat myself or the irritating "you're on mute" responses anymore. The fact that you can mute the mic by flipping it up is awesome! Some colleagues have told me they know when I'm about to talk simply by watching me flip the mic down so they pay attention. Finally, the sound quality. The sound quality is what you'd expect from good headphones. Admittedly I don't listen to music or use the headset for gaming, but I can hear every cough, uncomfortable shuffle, baby cry, and dog bark associated with online meetings. I highly recommend. I've been using them for 18 months so far and have no complaints. The headphones look fine, they have a volume control on the right headphone and I can't say enough good things about the mic. If you're in the market for a comfortable headphone with a clear mic that is perfect for endless zoom meetings this is it.

Let me start off by saying that I MAY have gotten a defective headset. I'm currently working with Sennheiser technical service to see if there is an issue with my headset, but in case there is nothing wrong, then this is what this review is for. So, here's a little background. I used to have a Logitech G930 gaming headset for a little over year until one of the ear cups broke and was just hanging by a few wires. At the time when I bought the G930, I had a small budget, but now that my budget had significantly increased, I was ready to get something a little more audiophile-like. Before I go further, I just want to note that these do sound great, but for the money I spent, I expected a little better. Also, I was aware of the 150ohm impedance these pack. I have an Asus Xonar DX sound card, but it was not meant to push these headphones. So, I bought O2 amp with a built-in ODAC, and I also bought a Sabrent USB external sound adapter so that I can still use the microphone. After all, I bought these as a gaming headset. Now, when you dish out nearly $500 on sound (headset, amp w/ odac, sound adapter), you would expect to be completely blown away; or at least, you would hope so. Unfortunately, this really just wasn't the case. Considering that I was able to spend only $90 on the G930, which has some really great sound, I was highly disappointed in these. Firstly, they lack a proper bass. Now, I'm not talking about the kind of overly powered bass you get from Beats headphones, but even my G930 produced some decent bass to keep the audio immersion. I only get bass from these if I turn them up really loud, which is annoying to say the least. I don't want to constantly listen to everything at high volume just to get some bass. Plus, I've heard other headphones in this price range, like from Audio Technica, that have better sound immersion and way better bass (I know AT headphones aren't gaming headsets, but still...) Secondly, they seem to lack any proper dynamic audio. Meaning, a lot of things, from music to movies, tend to sound flat. I thought the amp would fix this, but it didn't make that much of a difference. Again, in order for things to not sound flat, you really have to turn up the volume pretty high. Other than those two things, these still sound good, but just not what I would expect for the price I paid for them. Regardless, they are really flexible and come with a nice case. Also, they're incredible comfortable and the microphone is incredibly clear. Because of these positives, I still give this headset 3 stars. It's really a shame otherwise, and hopefully I only just have a defective product.

Beast headphones. PROS: Comfort - They feel great on my head, they're light and don't move around at all. The padding on the ear is memory foam and is awesome. They're fully adjustable, the mic stays out of your line of sight, um, where your head touches the top is padded. Seriously these feel like a second skin that can play music. Build - Everything feels like it's made with heavy duty material but somehow they're lighter than a lot of $30 headphones. Go figure. The metal hinge is a pretty good sign in my eyes as well since that's usually the first thing to go. The cord is also tethered (shoelace) so in case you run 'em over from time to time I don't think it'll hurt them. Mic - Clicks when you move the mic to mute or unmute it which makes it much easier to use. It's very clear actually, much more so than I thought it would be. This might be due to the fact that it has superb noise cancellation but, if you wanted to use this for Skype that would be extremely feasible. Sound - They highs are fantastic on these, they're going to sound as clear as anything you own and the closed face on them will block out a lot of sound. They're not for music, mind you. But as far as immersion for gaming goes, these work perfectly. Convenience - They fold up completely to look sort of like a boomerang or awkward frisbee which has saved a lot of desk space and awkward grabbing. Since I have a few monitors it's nice I can set these in front of my monitor without them blocking. Nice choice by Sennheiser here. They also come with a case for travelling with them, not that I ever leave the house but if you do the case is pretty solid and should protect them inside of a backpack. Aesthetics - Have you ever wanted to look like an airline pilot? Well now you can! I think the white looks crisp as hell and was much cheaper than the black, but whether you get or black I'd say they look better than a lot of headphones out there. They scream class. Cons: Ohms - Way too many. You need a ton of juice to power these and almost sent me away from them. If you're looking for heavy bass in this price range, you may want to go somewhere else.

Cette marque ne m'a jamais déçue jusque là, mais là c'est le plouf !!! l'ergonomie et le confort au top mais c'est tout. qualité musicale= 0 (je n'ai pas de mots), de plus le micro joue des castagnettes. je l'ai acheté pour l'utiliser avec VirtualDJ, cela fonctionne mais en terme de qualité audio quelle déception !
